No help given to install, didn’t collect
Equipment delivered but no help given to instal, so I couldn’t use it due to my physical problems.
Asked to have collected, stayed in for first appointment but they didn’t arrive, didn’t phone to ask directions. Second time didn’t arrive again. I had to rebook each time, kept waiting on phone for long time while they checked on driver, but couldn’t find where they were. Booked third time, gave me a time, didn’t arrive, told didn’t know which driver it was allocated to. Should I keep spending my time phoning to no effect. Equipment has been outside for quite a long time now, must be deteriorating.

KEEP CLEAR - (90 year old lost £225) Keep Clear - If I could give zero I would. Purchased a single small mattress from the website for our frail mother in law. Firstly it took over 3 weeks to arrive (from Shelf their third party supplier, and we live in Brighouse) Secondly, Barbara laid on it once fully clothed to try it out (similar to how you would at Dreams) and decided it was too hard so we tried to send it back. This company hid behind terms and conditions and now a 90 year old couple are out of pocket £225.00 I will never use them again! Majority of companies who supply mattresses normally allow a period for return/money back this was 10 minutes and they declined! GO ELSEWHERE! Look forward to your response underneath our review to justify your service and postiion!
Medequip in Hillingdon excelled themselves last week
Having found Medequip in Hillingdon generally to be a bit diffident and lacking a bit in empathy for the customer facing the a myriad of rules about not being able to rebook a failed job without going back to the initiator, not being able to move a bed if the person with dementia isn't at home but also not able to help them get up if they are in it when they arrive etc I had a perfect experience with them on the third attempt. The guy on the phone was particularly helpful in squeezing a slot in for my aunt by rejigging the other bookings and then the driver/technician was quick, efficient and also friendly and approachable.

Driver of this company was following to close, after we let him pass he continued to drive speeds up to 60-65mph in a 20mph zone. Almost crashed his van twice and was going into oncoming traffic numerous times. Reported to the police. Reg: KU23YCK Mercedes Van Driving through Chepstow countryside. He is and will kill someone on the road it’s just matter of time!

My husband riser recline delivered and broke down with him on it. I phoned the office 3 times who said they would report it and get in touch with someone to come out. No cintact -phoned out of hours said they couldn’t help phone in morning. Meanwhile husband stuck in chair. Took me over an hour to get him out.

Van/truck repeatedly parked overnight and over weekends, by the non-resident driver, on a quiet, narrow residential street causing inconvenience and stress.
Repeated contact with customer services have had no result, this has been going on for months!!!

Arranged collection via the Cambridgeshire branch for my late Mothers medical equipment provided by NRS originally, I wanted the items collecting swiftly for someone else in need of them, booked in for 17th March, received a text message on the morning of between 12-4pm.
Collection time came and went with a no show, waited in for 4 hours.
I called in and contact centre staff were unable to contact the driver to find out what happened.
I called again, booked for a second time for Friday 20th March, same again...another no show though I never received a timeslot text.
The contact centre staff seem fine but what happens in the process after their input is shoddy.

Refusing to collect loaned equipment at end of need. Then tell me to take to a recycling centre 35 miles away when I am unable to drive or walk any distances. Be warned, they will bat you off and refuse to take responsibility.
Coventry depot - useless
Coventry depot. Equipment left outside behind dustbin in the rain. Parents unable to bring into home due to weight of equipment.
Now that equipment is ready for collection following my father’s death they have given 3 collection days and haven’t turned up to any of them. Includes a hospital bed with ripple mattress and accompanying electrics. Now going to be in lounge when people visit on the day of my father’s funeral.
Thank you for making this difficult time even more distressing

Initial delivery was fine and we hadn't seen this review so we foolishly trusted them when a further one was needed. Next week, tomorrow, day after tomorrow...... whoever gave this firm a NHS contract dealing with patients near the end of their lives should hang their head in shame. Some staff on phone try hard but others are uncaring and thoughtless. Buy the stuff on Amazon if you can afford it.

Every interaction we have had with mediquip,and every member of the team have been amazing, so caring and understanding to my husband's disability. Very quick to get things sorted and delivered and installed. Thankyou to you all and to Dorin who visited us today ☺️
0 stars - Neglect, lies and incompetence
0 stars. Absolutely disgusting service from this company. Received a broken bed, called out numerous times to get it fixed. When they did turn up I was told that the beds they provide all have faults and it is what it is. I have been chasing repairs and replacements to get my dying father a bed that works and I’ve had to write to my MP and it is still not sorted. I’m being lied to saying the engineer turned up but no one was home, we have CCTV evidence to prove that was a lie. We received a brand new bed as a replacement and even that was broken. I am sick and tired of being messed around. This is now neglect and I am sick of the stress and anxiety this is causing when I am supposed to be spending time with my Dad who has only weeks left to live. Disgusting company.
Pleased with the outcome
Made an appointment to bring round a new walker but didn’t arrive. Phoned them up and they said they had tried to contact me and made it for the following Thursday. I said I have to go out can I leave the old walker on the front door step? Was told that would be ok.
Came home and new walker was on the doorstep and had been adjusted to the same height as the other one. Thank you Rob. (North Yorkshire)

Reclining chair (motorised) arrived today for my tetraplegic husband. Delivery person was in and out in five minutes, no manual. Literally, left and ran.
Charger for Hydroflex chair is not working, the mechanisms at the back are covered in dust and grime, battery cover doesn't close and this just got given to us in this state!
Terrible service, I got dismissed by the point of call at Mediquip stating that the delivery driver took a photo of the cushion front and it was clean. That may have been but nothing else was.
If we had any other option we would quickly find an alternative. I will be contacting CHC with my concerns too.

I would give zero. After chasing request by Rehab Team, medical air bed finally arrived at 5:30 pm for my 87 year old mum who had been discharged from hospital the previous day. Mum passed away yesterday evening. My 87 year old dad rang Mediquip first thing to get bed removed from their small living room. Mediquip won’t collect until next Friday … 7 days later. No empathy whatsoever that my father has to sit in his living room with bed his wife of 67 years died on. Absolutely disgusting.
3rd day waiting for a replacement piece…
3rd day waiting for a replacement piece of equipment to be delivered. Despite triple checking address and other details they have gone to a different address twice and now have decided that parts are missing from the items we were expecting today. NO update only found this out when i rang to get a delivery window. A whole week of being let down and sat waiting for something they don't deem as important to deliver. Should not be given the contract with supporting the NHS as they are failing miserably.
Cant give time of visit (which failed to achieve anything)
A commode wheelchair supplied for my wife developed a faulty footplate, as assessed by Care Supervisor and OT. Medequip arranged to visit today between 11.45 and 4.45. The lovely technician said "you are right it's broken you need a new one" (which we and they already knew). She did not have one on her van. A whole day wasted finding out something I knew.

Each time they failed to turn up and it was left to me to chase it.they didn’t even have the respect for their clients to contact them to inform of a no show
Absolute shower of Sh*t and I hope their contract is terminated by the NHS as they do not deserve to be in the business
