Can not recommend Meadowclere enough
Can not recommend Meadowclere enough! My husband and I went along for a cookery workshop to learn about Christmas canapés, and Karen could not have been a nicer host. The menu was well thought out and Karen made the cooking so easy, guiding us step by step just the right amount so that we had the pleasure and achievement of doing the cooking ourselves. Karen gives heaps of encouragement and praise (she really is too kind!) and getting to sample the food and also to taking so much food home with us was such fun. We had mixed level of cooking skills but that was not an issue with Karen adjusting her teaching to suit us both. The Cookery School is located in a wonderful country setting easy to find and the facilities are second to none - a true feeling of an Irish country kitchen but such a high quality! With the quality and level of teaching, the menu, ingredients, amount of food and the location this was truly a great find, and such amazing value for money when we saw just how much time Karen gives to the workshop but also to the preparation and pre course information - we even got to take the recipes home with us! Wish we had the time to attend the other Christmas workshops Karen has organised - we will be back in 2026 and can't wait to see what she has planned
