2018 Mercedes GL 300
We bought a 2018 Mercedes GL 300. The brakes (on all the cars of this model) squeal in moderately cold weather and the dealer refuses to fix the problem. We've had the car into services 5 addtional times for the check engine light. A lemon of a car and terrible Mercedes Service.
Do not purchase a vehicle from them
Do not purchase a vehicle from them. You will regret it. I made the mistake of buying a 2020 GLS last July and still have yet to receive a copy of my sales contract. On top of that my vehicle is barely 8 months old and has been in the shop more then its been driven. And now I am dealing with an issue and they are trying to tell me they are not going to cover it under warranty and mind you the car is brand new barely 8 months old. And they have the audacity to tell me it is my fault and I am liable because of just normal driving, road debris got through the grill and punctured the AC. Now to me that sounds like a design flaw. Because they are basically telling me this vehicle can't be driven because there is nothing protecting the grill from letting road debris in. I am beyond furious. I have spent a significant amount of money on a vehicle that basically cannot be driven. And they are trying to charge me 1800 to fix this. An 8 month old car just driven on the city streets and the air conditioner goes out because the grill does not guard against debris and I'm liable!!!!!!! Do not purchase from them. On top of that I have had issues where the leather in the vehicle started to pull up. The wood was chipping, all the driving sensors went out. Now tell me this doesn't sound like a lemon. I have contacted an attorney and will be pursuing legal action. Please buyer beware and do not purchase here
I kept having problems with the keys
I kept having problems with the keys. I would be driving and it would say no key detected. I brought it several times and they kept telling me there is nothing wrong with it. I sent videos and pics, finally they said they would keep for a day or two. Next they said it was software issue and they would have to get new keys from Germany. I called Mercedes Benz USA. That was worst. I spoke to a lady who told me she would call on specific day. Did not. I called her several times and it’s after I left a long message she called. Then she said she would call on Monday February 1st, she didn’t. I would not recommend Mercedes to anyone. This was a car that we worked for and to be treated this way. The car is not safe and my wife does not feel comfortable driving our 1yr in it. I can honestly say this is the worst car buying experience I have had in my life time.

3 weeks ago on Tuesday, November 26th I was side swiped by a motorcycle in my 2015 Mercedes Benz C300 and pushed into a nearby curb. Upon hitting the curb, both of my side curtain airbags deployed. There is absolutely no body damage to my vehicle whatsoever. I have had two different techs look at my vehicle (One Mercedes Tech). Both told me this warranted an investigation because, simply hitting a curb should not of deployed the airbags. People drive over curbs all of the time and their airbags do not just deploy! Both techs again, mentioned that is extremely unusual and should not of occurred. This is very clearly a defect with the vehicle and it needs to be properly addressed and handled. I have already gotten in contact with your Executive Referral Team, in which were absolutely no help. When I have two techs telling me what happened should not of happened and your Executive Referral Team telling me otherwise, this is where I get extremely frustrated. I do not need my personal safety compromised.

I PURCHASED A NEW E-320, FULLY LOADED. HAND WASHED FROM DAY ONE TO THIS DAY. DRIVEN ONLY 14 MILES/DAY! IT HAS ONLY 40K MILES. I BABIED THIS VEHICLE AND IT IS IN MINT CONDITION.LOOKS LIKE A MUSEUM PIECE! AT AROUND 30K MILES THE LEATHER SEAT'S SEAMS CAME APART! (???) NOTE THAT I HAVE THE MASSAGE PACKAGE SO YOU WOULD EXPECT A TOP QUALITY LEATHER USED BY A HIGH END VEHICLE RIGHT? ** WRONG **. DEALER "DID ME A FAVOR" AND REPLACED IT. LATER I FOUND OUT THAT MB * KNEW * ABOUT THE UPHOLSTERY'S LOW QUALITY THEY USED.
NOW, AT 40K MILES THE LEATHER TOP, LEFT SIDE OF THE DRIVER SEAT IS PEELING OFF!! WENT TO THE DEALER - HORRIBLE DEALER BTW - (MB OF NANUET RT 304 NANUET, NY) AND THE SERVICE MANAGER, WAS QUICK TO SAY OH! WEAR AND TEAR... NOT COVERED, SORRY. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? 40K MILES? I WEIGHT 180 POUNDS, TALL AND SLIM. MY NEIGHBOR HAS A BMW WITH OVER 80K MILES, HE WEIGHTS PROBABLY 350 POUNDS AND THE SEAT LOOK LIKE NEW! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR MB HAS THE REPUTATION BUT THE QUALITY PARTS THEY USE - AT LEAST THE LEATHER - IS HORRIBLE. NEVER EVER AGAIN!! AND ALSO STAY AWAY FORM THAT HORRIBLE DEALER. I PLAN TO PUT A SIGN IN MY VEHICLE AND DRIVE AROUND WITH A PICTURE OF THE PEELING LEATHER AND THE NAME OF THE DEALER WHO REFUSES TO TAKE CARE OF IT. THAT, BASED ON THE MINT CONDITION OF THE VEHICLE MOST LIKELY WILL RAISE EYEBROWS. SHAME ON YOU MERCEDES BENZ!
