Extremely disappointed with the level of customer service from Matthew Clark. Communication has been consistently poor, making it very difficult to manage our business effectively.

The biggest issue is the complete lack of communication with team members. Messages are not passed on, follow-ups are missed, and different people seem to have no idea what is happening. This has resulted in unnecessary delays, confusion, and wasted time trying to resolve issues that should have been dealt with properly the first time.

When you're relying on a supplier to support your business, you expect professionalism, responsiveness, and clear communication. Unfortunately, that hasn't been our experience. It often feels like no one takes ownership, and customers are left chasing for updates rather than being kept informed.

Lets make this crystal clear I started work at 5am this morning. I completed a Carlsberg delivery at 05.30 am. I then did various jobs around the pub awaiting Matthew Clarke. Kyle from Matthew Clarke always calls me 20 mins before the delivery.

Our cleaner arrives at 6am. My area manager arrives at 8am when we initiate the Area Manager checks audit. I get a missed call from an unknown number at 08.30 - I try call them back immediately but they don`t pick. I try again, and again, they don`t pick up.

We had numerous people at work in the bar from 8am, no-one heard anyone outside attempting to get attention.

Its a Bank holiday weekend. Use the information I have just given you to draw your own conclusion. And to think we are now getting charged for a courier to deliver our order because "Non-one is on site" is completely and utterly wrong. Furious about this. Good riddance Matthew Clarke if that`s how you treat your customers

Im a current employee and have had many ups and downs with Mathew Clark (more downs than ups!). Toxic management, poor communication, cow boy head office with zero support for its depot employees. All you hear is 'needs of the business ', nothing is in need for its team and staff.

Staff think they can boss members of the public about saying you can’t film our company . Unpleasant and unprofessional company as is proved by there ratings .

We had been a lont-time client of this company but the service we received last year were shockingly poor and humiliating.

Several wines on the wine menu were discontinued and we contacted our accountant manager in the hope to discuss this issue. Despite of multiple times of emails, no response. We escalated the issue to her manager, who promised to address it, and only then did our account manager finally reply. We sent her the issue we were facing, and then...she got lost again. No follow-up, no action.
We asked, again, to be assigned a new account manager, due to the ongoing issues, but this request was also ignored - this time by her manager. It seems ignoring clients is a team effort at Matthew Clark. How 'professional' and 'supportive' they are!
To make things worse, the delivery team was just as unreliable. On one order, our draught beer kegs were stuck behind other clients' stock. The drivers promised to return later that day, but they never did. We were left without draught beer for an entire week.
Matthew Clark has shown a total lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability. It's clear that they dont value their customers. If you are looking for a reliable supplier, avoid them!

Badly run company straight from the top down.
Constantly lurching from one crisis to another.
Given it's a relatively small team, the turnover of staff is absolutely shocking.
No CRB checks / no reference checks or Drug Testing policy
Wages were half decent but you'd do 45 hour weeks to get them.
No paid breaks
Petty vindictive managers
Job & Finish creates an awful atmosphere
Avoid at all costs

Any business who uses Matthew Clark is in for a ride. I advise ANYONE to avoid them completely. Save your mental health. Absolutely disgraceful company with a team of fools working for them. ZERO accountability for their incompetent processes. I have used them for my bar for nearly two years. Throughout there have been so many issues I can’t even bare to write out. Deliveries turning up late regularly - not 10 minutes or even 30 minutes - 2 hours, 3 hours and sometimes 7 hours. Several times not turned up at all. There have been several weekends where they have left me with no stock for the weekend. At times they’ve used a courier service where the products are broken or the drivers speak no English and cannot communicate. Their attitude towards customers is abysmal. I went mad at them on Friday because they were lying to me on the phone. Told me the driver was 3 miles away. 1 hour and 20 minutes later still not there. I had a staff member sat there waiting for them. The staff member has threatened to leave because of continual issues with this company. I will never use them again and I’m considering taking legal action against them due to my losses. On Friday I spoke to THREE people who all lied to me. I’ll be sharing the info about them on the hospitality social media for my area and beyond. It’s time they understood that they can’t continue to treat customers like dirt, yet want to corner the market.

Would give a zero, if it was possible. What absolutely disgusting drivers. Witnessed a woman holding a newborn, in tears, trying to get one of their drivers to move their trucks, but he laughed in her face and refused. Another woman was blocked in, and the same scum bag driver refused to help. Avoid this company like the plague. Barbarians.

Would give no Stars if possible .They overcharged me in October 2023 by over £700 .They also owe me from September 2024 over £600 . They have left over 100 empty kegs in my cellar .Full of crap .They promise to refund and rectify things then just ignore your emails and fob you of when phoning .I have had lung cancer a lobotomy ,heart attack collapsed lung and internal bleeding since July 24 .This company couldn't give a dam.My name is Hamish Howitt Scotties Sports Bar 9 Rigby Road Blackpool .I am going to have to take out a small claims summon against them.Their a pathetic joke

What an awful company ever come across with awful delivery drivers. Now delivering courier service for admiral tavern’s brewery past few months. Worst service ever in over 12years of experience! Never collect empties barrel. Over 50 empties in the underground cellar no place to move? Leaving a high risk of H&S! Unprofessional drivers always argue on any question asked, leaves all the product outside seller with gate open. Hope it shuts down soon!

Awful place to work
Dingy shoebox warehouse, broken equipment, roof leaks, aisles poorly lit, no drug & alcohol policy, rushing for early finishes thst never come, average wage, spoken to like dirt, no health & safety.

Absolutely useless service, incredibly rude staff, some of whom are either incredibly lazy or just simply turn up for a payday. I am truly disappointed at their service.

Disgusting customer service, drivers are rude and verbally agressive. Use any other service you possibly can. We also have had items missing and they won't reimburse for them. Shocking, as someone is likely stealing.

Have been using the business for a couple months. The customer service is terrible whenever something goes wrong. There is never a productive solution which has drastically impacted our sales. We have since opted to look for a different business.

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! Overcharges, never deliver, and do not care about the customer whatsoever! Ian Estick the account manager has just ignored us and refuses to credit overcharges or just lies through his teeth. Staff have been threatened and abused by employees of this business and they also ripped up a new floor that had been laid. Still they refuse to respond to emails. We have now passed this onto our solicitors and I am concerned this is also something to do with us being an LGBTQ+ business.

Couldnt begin without giving a star. They dont disserve any. Diabolical service. Never bring the right beer order. Beer missing or wrong. Even after 4 attempts in a week, still didn't get our beer right. Just been again, as we were missing 3 barrels on Monday. Still not right. How are you expected to run a pub with this shoddy service???

Just awful and has been for about four months. Really unsure how they still exist as they seem completely inept. EVERY order is missing stock, if it turns up at all. That happens more often than not. Excuses range from "Dunno" to "the pallet was behind another pallet". Just shocking. Cant wait for the sweet relief of them finally going under.

If i could give, a zero review i would. Three times in the last few weeks items from my delivery has not turned up. Today is the latest, 3 boxes of post mix was missing which i was desperate for, 4PM on a Friday evening? all cash and carry's closed. A couple of weeks ago it was Guinness and back in Feb, a full order of spirit's. If i was informed at the time of the order that there was no stock or so called customer service had informed me then fair enough. I bet there bigger customers never get any issues.

Served by Nizar and his colleague in Solihull Riley's. Perfect delivery/ collection by them both and very polite. Thank you!
