Loftomattic Anmeldelser

From ordering to completion everything was perfect, well almost……
Arrived about a week after ordering in a well protected double box and installation took no more than an hour. Everything was clearly explained in the DIY instructions, I also used the online installation guide. Straight out of the box it worked perfectly, with final adjustments completed I hung the loft hatch cover. The instructions clearly warn of the weight limit for the door which I completely ignored and hung a great big slab of 18mm MDF on the ladder. On opening the weight somehow wedged the ladder into the loft, which mis-aligned the ladder and mechanism. I called Micheal at Loftomatic who arranged for Max to call me within an hour. Through the use of Whatsapp video’s and telephone calls Max identified the problem and guided me through the reprogramming sequence.
I can not recommend this item and company highly enough.

100% recommend this automatic loft ladder company! Having taken advice from Duncan to include an enlarged loft opening as part of the installation (based on photos and measurements we sent over) Duncan arrived to install it when he said he would. He then spent the next few hours installing our ladder; we expected it to be a noisy and intrusive process but Duncan did the job quietly and with no sharp intakes of breath at all! When finished, he briefed us on how to use the super easy remote control, and what to do if the ladder was to drop a bit over time as it settled in (there is a strap you can adjust). We've used it a few times and so far so good - it is actually a joy to use! Thanks Duncan and Loftomattic!

We've had the ladder for over 6 months now and are really happy with its use and reliability. Michael from loftomattic was great in helping to get the ladder set up in Eastbourne. Much easier to use than a manual ladder!

Michael from Loftomattic had been amazing, he had provided fantastic service from start to finish and can’t recommend the company highly enough.
These ladders are a lifesaver in the current ‘working from home’ climate and there are no current ladders on the market that fit a reasonable budget with the engineering and great design that these do. If you need an electric ladder to access your loft space this is the company to reach out to.

I have arthritis and have difficulty in using ladders. Duncan quoted for a loftomattic ladder. The price was acceptable. Duncan arrived on time on the day agreed. He was polite and professional. He laid sheets down from the front door to the loft access. The ladder was installed in a day and Duncan cleaned up. The ladder is great and has made my access to the loft easier. I recommend everyone to Loftomattic.

Have had a good service from Max at Loftomattic. Lovely chap, keep to please. Ladder had stuck open a little - so Max talked me thru using the remote to reset the unit.
All done in a few minutes.

Excellent product which does exactly what it says. Needed to adjust the fully open and closed points and decided to call customer service (didn’t read the manual properly…). They answered promptly and helped me through the process. Most responsive and best customer service of any product I have bought recently.

At 81, my husband and I struggled with shoulders, vertigo and balance for years, dreading pushing up or pulling down our wooden loft ladder so we were delighted to find a company to do remote control electric ones.
Professional , efficient and reliable, Max organised things and the price was very fair for the quality of product and workmanship, and the time and travel involved. He made the process smooth without problems, even for oldies.
Well worth having the experts as ours was no easy job.

Duncan the engineer was brilliant. He arrived bang on time. Working alone in an incredibly difficult 400yr old house where nothing is a straight line, in the heat, in cramped spaces, with access to the upper floor via a small spiral staircase, nothing phased him. He worked solidly, quietly and tidily without even a moan or muttered swear word. He explained and demonstrated the product. He came and went without fanfare. Thank you Duncan. A rare gem.
We love our ladder. It is such an asset, and easy to climb. Our former one felt unstable but this does not. It has small handrails either side and we already had others to grab inside the loft. The remote control is kept magnetically discreetly on the hinges of the nearby airing cupboard.

It’s such a simple pleasure we are tempted to order the Powers that Be to install one for easy access to the next life! Remote control our end of course.

Thanks guys. A really professional job.

We decided to move the loft access and at the same time put in an electric loft ladder to make access super quick and easy with the push of a button.
Our local joiner recommended Loftomattic and searching on the web is seemed more than adequate.
Joiner fitted it in a couple of hours and we had already got a sparky to put in the power.
Job done, but it soon sagged a little when closed so I rang up the support who were super helpful and within a couple of minutes the simple adjustment was made and it closes perfectly.
Earlier I said it seemed adequate - that was an understatement, this is simply brilliant and if you are thinking of putting an electric loft ladder in I would recommend this for quality, ease of installation (I chose a joiner) and great support

Like the clever name that it has been given, this is a brilliant invention worthy of a prestigious award.
Press a button on the remote control and gain access to your loft in less than a minute.
Likewise, sending the ladder back when done..
No physical exertion needed!
I have total confidence in this ladder - head and shoulders above the rest!
Many thanks to D M Ladders Ltd for a reasonably priced professional and friendly fitting service.

What seams like a great product has just put me in hospital, I slipped going down the loftmatic 10 step electric loft ladder, im a 43 year old male
Going down the ladder I slipped catching my arm on one of the protruding bolts and ripped a 50mm hole in my arm , needing to go to the plastic sergeant, (could have been life changing) this product needs to be removed from the market immediately, its a death trap, it lacks any form if guards and is very very dangerous. Please do not buy this product.

After moving just before 1st lockdown and living through boxes, At last the loft floored and storage! With an unbelievable well engineered and manufactured steady remote control proper staircase.
More than pleased when in our golden anniversary years that ease of use and affordable is better than we dreamed of.

Many thank's to all, really appreciated.

Ken and Anne Mitchell.

Recently purchased a 10 step Loftomatic, installed it myself - quite easy really although it is quite heavy and certainly needs 2 people to get into place. First class product, well engineered and does the job up to expectations. Only gave 4 stars as there is one small criticism? The supplied 6mm allen key for adjusting the level of the loft ladder within the loft aperture is far too short making it difficult to make the adjustment. Purchased a set of longer allen keys & the 6mm key at 18cm long made the adjustment much easier! Max & co....perhaps a slight change to the supplied parts bag could well be appreciated by future customers? Otherwise a great product - well done

This is a true 5 star product. An incredible piece of engineering, it works so well and is really compact when closed, fitting nicely inside the loft hatch. We spent a good sum on a loft conversion but the main talking point is the ladder. Sturdy, lightweight, reliable and affordable. It's like the Tesla of loft ladders.
I did have (what I thought) was an issue where the hatch didn't fully close but after speaking with their support team they informed me of several ways to make adjustments and now the hatch closes perfectly, so it was an issue with installation rather than the ladder itself. While speaking with support I learned so much about the ladder which made me love it even more. Sounds weird to put the owrds "love" and "ladder" next to each other, but it really is that good. It also closes to the inside, so if you have a loft conversion you can close yourself in, and with an extra remote plus a nnumber of safety features to release the ladder manually, there's no risk of being stuck inside the loft. If you're in to your gadgets you'll love it.

Professional. Very helpful with everything

Well, what a marvellous piece of engineering, solidly built and quite heavy about 30 Kilos.
A friend of mine did the installation as there are no recognised installers in the Plymouth area, he made the hatch opening 600mm x 900mm, this gives a nice clearance on your back when entering the loft, also worth noting that it is important to have or make the loft lining 150mm deep and at least 25mm thick, this allows the ladder to sit nicely when in the up position. I would recommend that you use solid timber you know, real wood for you lining.
There were some fine adjustments to be made after the install, but follow the instructions in the Manual and view the video a few times to get the idea, then it is so much easier, not that it is difficult, but it helps.
I wanted the remote to be able to do the one touch operation, it does show you in the manual, but I spoke to Max and it was a simple process.
Max has been extremely helpful. Please bear in mind that over use of the ladder, ie children playing with it, you know what kids are like with a remote control and buttons, the device will stop, this is a built in protection. After a few mins say 5 to 10 it will be functional again. Its a great product and a brilliant family run business. The price is very good compared to some others on the market. I would highly recommend this product and this company. Well done Max & Michael I wish you all the very best for the future, Many Thanks. Les (Plymouth)

In my late 70s, I was struggling with the existing heavy old extendable ladder and when it almost fell on top of me I researched the alternatives.
I am extremely pleased with the Loftomatic which was installed almost a year ago. I was wary because it was cheaper than other automatic ladders, but I needn’t have worried as it is expertly engineered. Any installation problems were entirely due to the existing trapezoid opening in a 130 year old house - be warned! I was grateful for the carpentry skills of my builder.
I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

I'm only happy to support the many positive reviews. Michaels idea and design behind the ladder is, to me, at an award winning level, and the customer support received from Max is second to none: genuinely helpful, diligent, competent and pleasant. I also really like the "one touch" feature - a great addition to an already super product. I wish Loftomattic all the best and can recommend them warmly.

Since getting a Loftamittic mine and my family life has become so much easier, getting in and out of our loft made easy by a touch.
An incredible product and service, amazing family business with a smile.

Highly recommend

It has taken me a while to get around to writing this review. Probably because I have spent many hours staring up at my new loftomatic . What can I say . game changing ! It replaced my old concertina pro which was a complete pain in the backside to put up and down . Up and down , effortless (with one touch I might add) seeing as Max was super helpful and changed the code on my two remotes . Great guy , great product , highly recommended .
