Excellent customer service. We had a minor fault which prevented the Loftomattic ladder from retracting fully. Max helped us resolve this problem by phone very promptly and efficiently. We were extremely impressed with the support provided by Techstep, and in particular by Max, which could not have been more helpful..

Excellent product. I replaced a concertina type loft ladder with this. It is so much easier and safer to use.

Okay - this is not a spur of the moment review "I've just received it and looked at the box and it looks great." :) In fact this ladder has been installed and in regular use for around 18 months. We are absolutely delighted with it and with the wide treads it is better than we had anticipated. We have boarded the loft and put in new insulation both under the floor and against the rafers, making the loft space incredibly usable with this ladder allowing very easy access. Family who have seen the ladder are equally impressed! The buying and installation experience (we got the recommended installer to do it) was really excellent, so brilliant all round.

I have had one of these for two years now and it has been great. It can be opened and used manually if need-be and this is pretty straightforward. The ladder can also be removed completely if need be. I have a spare remote but batteries are easy to replace, although I have not had to do this so far. It is considerably cheaper than other electric models, and will fit in my small loft space, unlike most other electric and no-electric loft ladders. I highly recommend it.

Bought a loft ladder from these around 2 years ago and has been amazing so I was gutted when it went faulty.

I called them and spoke to their amazing team and they shipped out a replacement item for next day delivery.

Customer service at its best and cannot recommend these enough.

Superb product at an affordable price. Carried out a DIY fitting of a loftomattic ladder end of last year. Customer services were excellent and gave really useful guidance for fitting into shallow roof joists. Ladder has behaved perfectly with frequent use apart from a minor problem when I inadvertantly tried to raise it when somebody was standing on the bottom rung. Rang customer services and it was sorted out over the phone in a few minutes. Well worth the money.

Hi, I have to agree with two reviews that I have recently read (Kentish Gentleman 26.03.23 & Thomas Thompson 14.03.23) the after service leaves a lot to be desired! I installed my electric loft ladder around October 2021, it works extremely well, so no complaints about the product, but trying to get information from Loftmatic is impossible? I have sent emails and spoken to Michael/Max on at least 10 occasions, since 31 Oct 2021, and have been promised a video of how to deal with a power outage and operate the ladder manually, this video has not been forthcoming!
If Loftmatic read this could you please do something promply?

Purchased this a few months ago but only just had it installed. Good quality item and works well...

I was initially disappointed with the time it took to deliver however the ladder was relatively easy to fit (definitely a 2 man lift to install) and works perfectly. The mechanism is a little noisy when raising and lowering but very satisfied overall. Great value for money.

I purchased the Loftomattic 9-step ladder in 2021 and installed it myself. The install was straightforward and it has worked very well, used maybe 5 or 6 times a week since install.
Recently it developed a mechanical issue, which I was able to fix, but I got in touch afterwards to confirm the reprogramming process and get hold of a spare part. I had a quick and helpful response from Max which resolved the problem and I was happy.
A few days later, I got another call from Max saying they were in the area, and could Michael (the owner & inventor) drop in to take a look at my ladder, which was great! Michael made a few adjustments and suggestions, swapped out some parts and now my ladder is better than ever.
Overall, I'm really impressed by Loftomattic, they're a small company with an innovative product that's well made and incredible value. Most importantly, they stand by their product with great support from knowledgeable people. I've found them to be nothing but helpful and responsive.
The repeated 1-star reviews received from a single reviewer skew the overall review result for Loftomattic, and this is unfair. These guys support their product very well in my experience.
I echo the comments of other 5-star reviews here and do not hesitate to recommend both the product and the company, they are brilliant.

Website was well illustrated and informative which made decision making easier. On ordering I was kept fully informed and received the ladder, which was well packaged, quickly. Self fitting was managed without problems although the lifting to final hanging requires two people unless you are young and strong but this is clearly noted in the instructions which are comprehensive with good diagrams. I am a 79 year old DIY'er and managed the job relatively easily. (My son lifted the ladder up to it's final position) The ladder is substantial in build and works faultlessly
Delighted with the final result which is much admired family and friends.

Come on time and was very easy to fit , after fitting and doing the final adjustments it’s plug and play, took me about 3 hours from start to finish I would use these loftomattic again

Great product until something goes wrong! I have left numerous messages asking them to call back as it just goes to answerphone. I did get to speak to someone who asked me to email a picture and he would come back to me. They didn’t. I phoned again three times - no response. Finally I emailed them again - no response! So if it works great product - if it breaks down don’t bother contacting them because once they have your money they don’t care
