I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I ordered a 1kg PRE-ORDER VILLAIMEEN UNCLEANED fish and received it on a Saturday. The moment I opened the package, it had a strong, unpleasant smell. I followed all proper cleaning and cooking methods (including a traditional Indian recipe), but the fish was clearly spoiled. I had to throw the entire dish away.

When I contacted customer service to request a refund, I was told I had not reported the issue within 24 hours—as if spoiled fish magically expires at exactly 24 hours. This is unreasonable and dismissive of real quality concerns.

Additionally, the mangosteen I received was tiny and not worth the price.

This experience shows a lack of accountability and poor customer service. I will not be ordering from them again, and I strongly suggest others think twice before trusting the quality of the products or the support behind them.

Useless and inefficient customer support team who cannot understand basic requirements.

Disappointed with Expired Products & Poor Customer Service

I recently placed an order with Lakshmi stores and had a terrible experience. They delivered products that were over a year old and set to expire within a week. On top of that, I ordered a specific leafy vegetable, but they substituted it with a completely different one which I am allergic to and without informing me.

I immediately reached out to customer service, and while they initially acknowledged my complaint, it has now been over 10 days with no response. This is unacceptable, especially when it comes to food safety and customer health.

I expected better transparency and service, but unfortunately, this experience has left me extremely disappointed. I won’t be ordering from here again, and I advise others to check expiry dates carefully if shopping here

Terrible company. Second time having issues with this company. Two items from my order were missing and after multiple emails and calls no refund yet. Waste of time and extremely poor customer service. Won't be using them again

Initially a bit wary but decided to give this store a chance. No regrets. excellent quality products, great value, packed well and dispatched promptly, despite it being in the middle of the holiday season. Thoroughly recommend this store for anyone who enjoys cooking Asian food and doesn't want to buy small amounts of spices etc from UK supermarkets at double the price.

I love this store, it has loads of products from India that are simply not sold here in the usual supermarkets. Delivery times are slightly long and they sometimes don't have the items in stock but they do communicate this to you.

Poor customer service, sending wrong items and online delivery also noticing missing and stale products, pathetic delivery

Bad customer services experience, always cheap tricks to fool the customers and try avoiding the returns and refunds - I'm not going to buy anything from lakshmistores in the future and I'm going to inform all my friends and families to do so as well.

Never saw the reviews before, but realising now it’s all true. They never agree to their fault or sincerely apologise. Don’t even expect a refund or replacement for the damaged product you got. They don’t care about being fair and providing good service to their customers. Broomstick I order (priced ridiculously high) came in a small box folded into half and broken. When contacted I was told to reattach the broken things and use it. Don’t ever buy fragile or perishable things from them.

extremely sad with purchase , they sent poor quality thotapuri mangoes which was ripe , ideally they should be RAW , they think its ok to send perishable products in poor quality in UK which is sad ! they dont offer refunds because they dont want to make loss , but would like to consume poor quality product they send , which was binned.

Took my money but never delivered and then no communications.

I have ordered mangoes and it was very worst and not eatable throw in the bin just wasted money don’t see the website picture and buy it they will cheat you

Pathetic service and chindhichor people,dont even know how to do a business.Liers are sitting in their customer service team and making false promises to people.Store manager is even more pathetic than the customer service people.Would never recommend them to anyone and will also spread it in all my groups and also let people know in my circle who buy the stuff from them

They sent me a bad product. The pan had layers coming off. I sent them pictures and called them several times. Worst part is the ey did not even bother to respond or callback.
Will never be ordering from them again.

I have ordered fresh fish - sardine .It's mentioned as cleaned fresh fish but received the fish without cleaned totally disappointed.Wouldnt recommend for fresh product.

Unreliable service! Order came 2 days after the date confirmed on the order placement. I got several phone calls to let me know that some of the items were not available. Yet they were still advertising the items on their website. Had I known they could not fulfill the order, I would have ordered from another company.
When I complained, I got a brief email that did not address my complaints. Obviously, they don't care for their customers.
Quality of items (mangoes in this case) was split and bruised. I was beyond wasting my time complaining to them as they are just not interested!
Be prepared to not get all your items and get poor quality on those items you do!
Terrible!

I ordered items on their website.Next day received call from the store stating 3 items not available and will not be able to refund and compelled me to buy something else which I don't want. They want to sell the items they want,not the items which I ordered.

Horrible customer service, ordered fresh fish which was to be delivered on a certain date which never happened. Then finally they courier it and the courier is delayed due to DPD issues. Ultimately when received it was all smelly and leaky. I had called them when DPD said it is delayed and they did say that it is highly likely that the parcel will be spoilt due to delay but when I received it it was smelly without any ice pack. They refused to listen saying they wanted me to wash the fish and try it and there is nothing they can do. Opening the box itself emitted a foul smell in the kitchen and they wanted me to open the packs and take pictures. Ultimately I refused to do that as the smell was rancid and rotten. Will never purchase from them. Every person you speak to gives different and contradictory message which is clear they don’t want to refund the exorbitant charges they charge. They are nothing but fraudulent business who cheat their customers.

Ordered goods £101 and £4.49 for small onions , orded few frozen foods with temperature controlled packing for extra cost end of the day the frozen foods were inedible when we received it as all went soggy , didn’t receive the small onions as well so asked for refund for small onions and inedible frozen foods , got a call today saying will refund for small onions but not for inedible frozen foods , so told them this will be last order

Ordered on 21august and delivered on 23rd august

They collect weekend additional delivery charges, but never deliver. I did not receive my my order with delivery date 18.06.2023 till date. They are replying with default answers without trying to understand or resolve the exact issue.
