Absolutely shocking and dishonest service – avoid at all costs!

My husband and I were locked out late at night and called this so-called “24-hour locksmith” after being quoted £45 for a simple entry. I confirmed the price twice over the phone with the lady who booked it. She never mentioned any emergency call-out charges, VAT, or inflated costs for locks.

When the locksmith arrived, he suddenly quoted £169 + VAT, claiming it wasn’t a “simple entry” — yet he barely even tried to pick the lock (literally touched it for 2 seconds) and refused to check the easier back door we offered. He insisted on drilling the lock, which any random person could have done. So much for professional skill.

After entering, he tried to charge us £75 for a lock that retails online for £10, and then slipped in a £45 emergency call-out fee + VAT — again, never mentioned on the phone. In the end, we were handed a ridiculous £346 invoice, when we were initially quoted £45.

We felt cornered — it was after midnight, this man was in our home, aware of our security, hovering over us — we were intimidated into paying. It was predatory and exploitative.

This company is running a scam disguised as a locksmith service. Their pricing is completely dishonest, they prey on people in vulnerable situations, and the reviews saying similar things are clearly not a coincidence. I will be reporting them to Trading Standards, Citizens Advice, and disputing the payment through my credit card.

Avoid this company. They are scammers.

Huge scammers.
Charged me nearly £500 to replace my lock.
Lied about everything being fixed, wanted to charge me a further £900 for my door panelling.
you can never get a call back and when you do call, they are very aggressive, I even had to ask the manager to calm down so we could atleast discuss why I never received a quote and why was I lied to when I was told everything was included in the first quote.
Honestly it is children running the phone lines and they have no clue what their technicians do.
They overcharge, aggressive and out to just steal your money. Do not use

I was locked out and within half an hour Bobby was here and managed to open the lock within 5 minutes! Amazing service, highly knowledgeable and couldn’t recommend more!!

Fast and efficient service from start to finish. Needed entry into my property as i had been locked out and Bobby had the issue sorted within 5 minutes.
Will definitely use him again, but hopefully i won’t need to…!

If it wasn't already obvious the 5 star reviews are all fake. All critical reviews are being taken down. The public have been warned about companies like this but still they continue to ply their trade in a dishonest and corrupt manner. They charged well over £700 to change a nightlatch (51015) There was a charge for 'service' of nearly £200, a further charge for 'emergency call out' of £130 and £225 to replace a Yale type cylinder which can be bought from Screwfix for £12. The total call out time was less than 1/2 hour. They appear to operate a kind of commission based service to offer work to people who want the job and presumably take a percentage for the lead. There is no website attached to this 'company' and it is not possible to easily identify who are the directors as Companies House list the company as dissolved in 2013. The directors were named as Oz Sharabi and Oded Loulay. The current address of the company is listed as 158 Uxbridge Road W13 8BS although the website keys247.co.uk has a completely different address and a company registration number that does not relate to 24H Locksmiths Ltd. The company is registered for VAT however there is no company with this name registered at Companies House and they are not registered with the Master Locksmiths Association. The website address keys247.co.uk is unrelated to this 'company' although it is used to advertise the services. The invoice number is provided above however key247.co.uk will claim they have not received the 'correct' reply and may attempt to take down the post.

Fantastic company on my way home from work, they guys are already waiting for me by the road side, after l spoke with the customer service about my key 🔑 and book the engineer for 8pm, I really appreciate they prompt respond very recommended also very friendly,

sfccidentally locked myself out at 6 AM while fetching the newspaper. Andy from the locksmith team arrived in 15 minutes and managed to crack the door to let me back in. I waited on my porch, and his swift response ensured I wasn’t late for work. Highly recommend their services.

Locked myself out during a heavy storm. Called the emergency locksmith service, and James arrived within 25 minutes. Despite the weather, quickly unlocked my door without any damage. I waited in my car to stay dry. Exceptional service!
