Kelvin Timber, a cherished family-run Timber and Builders Merchant, finds its home in the welcoming locales of Milngavie and Hamilton, nestled on the periphery of the vibrant city of Glasgow. Our story began in 1970, and since then, we have remained dedicated to providing an invaluable service to a diverse clientele, spanning trade professionals and the general public alike. With a rich history steeped in the ethos of trust and quality, our mission goes beyond mere commerce. We are passionate about encouraging people to make astute shopping decisions and advocating for the support of local businesses. In a world dominated by mass production and impersonal transactions, we stand as a beacon for those who wish to shop with intention and invest in their local community. At Kelvin Timber, we take pride in our role as a trusted partner for builders, DIY enthusiasts, and those seeking quality timber and building materials. Our knowledgeable team is committed to offering invaluable insights, reliable products, and a personal touch that sets us apart. We aim to empower our customers to shop smart, make informed choices, and foster a sense of pride in shopping local. We believe that every transaction is an opportunity to build a stronger, more vibrant community, one timber plank at a time.

Easy to order from!
Everything went smoothly via the ordering system. Received emails keeping me updated, although the one telling me to come in to collect my order seemed to get lost somewhere. Pick up was straightforward too.

Delivered insulation quickly but one panel was damaged. This was pointed out to the driver who simply said it was only insulation. Not good, PIR insulation needs a tight fit and need to be in one piece.

Hi Brian, thank you for your review and I'm sorry if there's any confusion here, we appreciate the stock was out at time of purchase and we hold our hands up to this, we understand this can be an inconvenience.
Our store manager spoke with you directly, he has sent me your conversation. I can see he explained that both stores were out of stock at the time of your order, so it had to be placed with our supplier which could take up to 10 days - which is unusual as we are normally fully stocked, he offered you a refund right away, you stated you were ok to wait, and we've offered to deliver to this you at no cost because you were ok to wait rather than you having to come to the store to collect.
We are really sorry to have disappointed you, we are still awaiting the stock to arrive within the arranged eta. As soon as stock arrives this week we will be in touch or if you cannot wait, a refund can be processed right away, please let us know.
We can be reached on sales.east@kelvintimber.co.uk
Kind regards
Nicola
Brilliant Merchant.
Use Kelvin Timber quite alot but don't think I've ever reviewed them.
Service is great prices are fair and quality is top notch.
Staff in store from shop to yard are all excellent and really helpful. Delivery guys often go above and beyond to get the stuff dropped off and there is definetly quite a few access issues at my property. Highly reccomend this merchant.
