Have to agree that app is not very user friendly and process is just time consuming in general. You can’t just choose a shop, you have to request it then in many instances they deny your request without any explanation whatsoever. Or you request it and it tells you someone else has it, etc. Honestly, one of my least favorite Shopper companies at this time. I hope they streamline the process to engender greater interest.

This is a very interesting and low paid side job. In some cases, the assignment reimburses you for purchases, while at the same time requiring a greater dollar amount in purchases than the reimbursement. The the compensation is often not adequate to cover the expense of getting to the location.
One fascinating detail of the review expectations is coming up with lengthy written reviews when logic would say a simple yes or no, or a three word statement might be adequate. Surprisingly those will get rejected because the reply needs to be 30 characters. So you come up with a reply that’s 30 characters or more and it gets rejected for inaccurate punctuation, capitalization, or spelling errors. A crazy amount of time is spent, trying to produce an extended reply, and then have to go back and figure out what punctuation their system thinks ought to be inserted.

Not a user friendly site at all. It took several hours to sign up. Finally had some potential assignments sent. I cannot navigate to shop page on website, it’s as if 3 different companies are mushed together trying unsuccessfully to be “efficient”. They need a straightforward system, not a maze to navigate just to accept jobs. Now that lve read these bad reviews about non payment l will not accept any jobs and will unsubscribe.

Shop details of logistics and objectives are always clear. Quick reviews of shop and payment on time as per policy. I have been impressed by their flexibility when a situation has arisen.

I am filing a formal complaint regarding ISecretShop (ISS) for permanently banning my account without warning, explanation, or opportunity to appeal, after a dispute with MarketStat, a mystery shopping company that uses the ISS platform.

Timeline and Facts:
• November 11, 2025: A MarketStat mystery shop I completed onsite was denied after I followed all instructions. MarketStat claimed I contacted the wrong person during the phone portion. I was given no prior notice or opportunity to correct anything.
• I have filed a BBB complaint regarding MarketStat for this issue (BBB Complaint Reference #24135734), ongoing since November 11, 2025. I have received no response after 11 days.
• After the MarketStat denial, I discovered that my ISS account showed zero available shops across the entire United States, including major cities where shops normally exist.
• November 20, 2025: I contacted ISS support. Staff member Andrew required me to ask three separate times before admitting that I had been permanently banned. Another representative, Ivan, defended the company’s actions and then refused to respond further, leaving me without explanation or recourse.
• ISS’s official reply stated:

“Your profile has been permanently banned from the system. That is the extent of the information we will share with you. You are currently seeing all the shops you are eligible to see, which is zero.”

Why This Is Unfair and Harmful:
1. ISS banned my account permanently without notice or explanation, which is extremely punitive and unjust.
2. The ban appears to have been triggered by MarketStat’s unilateral denial, over which I had no control or warning.
3. I completed the assigned work for free, relying on ISS and MarketStat instructions.
4. ISS staff behaved unprofessionally and refused to provide a reasonable explanation or appeal process.
5. I have completed over $10,000 worth of secret shops through ISS, yet ISS appears to protect MarketStat and clients over their evaluators, creating a clear conflict of interest.
6. This action has blocked me from earning income and demonstrates retaliation and unfair business practices.
I have over 500 dollars in Jobs in que to be paid from different jobs on ISecretShop site. This is a deliberate personal attack.

Total scam…..said I was scheduled to review a restaurant …went and did what was required and spent almost 100 doing so only to find out when I went to do my review, that the restaurant assignment had been cancelled by them. Never notified me …argued that they emailed me but somehow I got all their other emails …so I was out the money I was supposed to get…I would have never gone and done that if I wasnt getting paid….TOTAL SCAMMERS AND LOSERS….STAY AWAY

Rude and condescending staff. They do not appreciate the work that you do.

I've been with this gig app for a few years now. In the beginning, its a little extreme, but once you start, it gets so much easier. Have patience with the pay, they all pay, Ive never not gotten paid. Their platform is user friendly and always have an email if you have questions while on thd job

Beware of this site. I’m a seasoned mystery shopper and have never had any issues with other platforms. I’ve had to track down very late payments owed to me and had a scheduler not schedule correctly then tried to blame me for “missing” the shop. I will no longer be using this site. Not worth the stress when there are so many better ones out there! (Note: I rated it two stars instead of one because I did have a smooth experience with one of the companies on the site).

Run away as far as you can. I have worked with several mystery shop companies, and this one is by far the worst. Run, don't walk.

Im not sure if this is a fake shop - they said they sent the order with stamps so they don’t have tracking - who does that?

They also wrote that they removed the original box because it was easier to ship.

Do not buy anything form this site - really bad experience.

I recently joined Isecret shop, so far everything I have done has been fun and easy to understand. I like their online platform, its easy to navigate and submit assignments. Their scheduler's are great, they respond quickly and are very helpful.

I'm going with a 3 star for now but that may change next week if I don't get my paycheck from them. They are a conglomeration of several mystery shopping marketing research firms that I have been involved with for an extended period of time. I actually love the work because it's obviously remote, I can get out of the house OR do a survey by phone, and the pay goes directly to my Paypal. MOST of the member firms are pretty fair about who they send out on different shops. Intouch Insight is my fave, because there are ALWAYS shops available with them, and I can get 2, maybe 3 in one day! I've done a plethera of convenience stores, which obviously I cannot ID here, but trust me you've heard of them. I get to buy food for me or my roommate and get paid for it! What a deal! There is however ONE of the member firms, PRISM INTELLIGENCE, that throws a monkey wrench into the all this positive reviewing here. I applied for a shop paying a significant amount of money, and which nobody had bid on, ironically enough. I bid and was IMMEDIATELY rejected. I was qualified, adept in the field the study was in, and readily available. The whole thing seemed to boil down to them handpicking who they want or who they THINK the target firm will appreciate visiting them. I wrote them seeking an explanation for my rejection, as well as asking that all my future assignments be for the OTHER member firms in the organization. The rejection seems to be motivated by race (I'm black) and all of a sudden, the company wiped my entire personnel file out of existence! The catch is that with no record of me as an independent contractor, they can TRY to fend for the position of NOT PAYING ME MY PAY NEXT PAYDAY! I've already gotten one sarcastic email from a person in favor of keeping me blocked (and yes I got her name.) I shared with her "You do you" and the Attorney General's office is on my speed dial.
Y'all know how I roll with Trustpilot. Every time I report, there is a RAPID solution mysteriously coming out of the woodwork. Let's see what happens on payday.

UPDATE
Well, Jennifer E. is apparently sticking to her guns about potentially NOT paying me, so time for the BIG DOGS to come out. The AG gets called in the morning. I gave her the same warning I've given EVERY company that THOUGHT they could short me a payroll.

UPDATE 6/1/2025
Well the moral of the story is that according to the email they sent me, "ISecretShop is NOT a company, its a software" and the company that controls them is actually Prime Intelligence. I actually interacted with the heffa who deleted my personnel files that was threatening to delete my payroll for last Friday. They seemed totally smug and satisfied with that scenario, even though I told them I would be contacting both MY Commnwealth's Attorney General, as well as theirs. As it turns out all the mystery shops I was due to be paid for were for one company, and they had emailed me copies of the receipts for my shops, which I STILL HAD IN MY EMAIL, so I was able to verify my work, and got paidwith no issues, no thanks to ISecretShop.
So here is my warning to you about them.
The parent company for the "software that is NOT a company" is Prime Intelligence. The morons running it WILL DELETE you from their system if you ever complain to them about ANYTHING, and you'd better be careful and have ALL your ducks in a row if you do any work for any company using ISecretShop. KEEP YOUR MYSTERY SHOP RECORDS in your email! There are other mystery shop firms in the country you can work forand avoid this drama. Its WORTH IT to shop around!

I really enjoy working for iSecretShop. They are a very dependable and reliable company. I have been doing quite a few shops for different companies through iSecretShop recently. They pay on time. The schedules are great and very helpful when you have questions. This is a very legitimate company.

The worst mystery shopping company ever. They are scammers, took all my points away for a shop the admin canceled! Not me, however I contacted the administrator, and the tech support and got no help! Plus, on top of that they don't pay well! Nothing in the training videos suggested your points can be taken away for nothing! Clowns! 🤡 Pathetic and raggadey business!

I've been working with this company since 2019. They are stripped Ford in their breakfast and always pay. They are my favorite secret shop company to work for because they have easy to understand rules and questionnaires.

So far, so awesome! It is work, but it is fun work, and worth it. I just signed up last month and for one 'shop' to see how it worked, and if it was legit. My husband and I shopped a job on Saturday, and had a BLAST. I submitted my very first report yesterday and was notified today that the report was approved, and payment will be completed within 25 days. I am very happy with the experience both with the organization and the actual experience my husband and I can now count as a great memory!

A pleasure to do assignments for, not as many available as I would like but the ones I have done have been most interesting and enjoyable. Lorna from company had been most friendly and explained any queries I've had and I look forward to doing many more in future.
