utter scum
utter scum. I receive calls from 705-242/243 numbers daily at any hour. I am on the no call list and this is ignored. This company is constantly harrassing me and shuffles blaium to thgeir "partners" who are just scammers.

I have not had my VOIP for almost 3…
I have not had my VOIP for almost 3 months, have had no help from tech support, I've called at least a dozen times, constantly hung up on or promises to fix the issue. It's a VOIP, how difficult can it be. I DO NOT recommend this company.

Look, these people sell phone numbers to scammers, they will not police abuse on their system.
Even when you phone them, you get jerked around on an automatic system, and once you finally get to a live person, they treat you like shit, because they only care about money, legitimate or not doesn't matter!

You know what you’re doing..you are profiting off of Scammers. You know how sold phone numbers work yet you don’t investigate the person who wants to buy a number off of you. In saying you have ‘no control of the number once it’s sold’ is how you are making money off a Scammers. I’m on the no call list so I believe you are selling private phone listings as well. You need to be shut down. I will put a complaint in with the Better Business Bureau. I am getting multiple local-numbered scammers…they all bought the burner phone number from you!!!

To clarify, Iristel is an international wholesale phone number provider, meaning we supply millions of phone numbers to telecommunications companies around the world. Once a number is sold, we no longer have control over how it is used or who it is assigned to.
Unfortunately, there is no master database that tracks exactly which company or person is using a number at any given time. When you look up a number, it may still show Iristel as the original owner, but that doesn’t mean the number is in our possession or under our control.
We take fraud and spam seriously and encourage you to report unwanted calls to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre or your phone carrier, who may have tools to help block these calls.

A guy called me that works for you from a 7786570202 number. He scammed me out of a little over 600 dollars. I would like my money back asap and he needs to lose his job. He is using your company as a way of scamming people. What goes on over there. The call is from Vancouver British Columbia. We’re very sorry to hear about this situation and understand how frustrating and upsetting it must be. To clarify, Iristel is an international wholesale phone number provider, meaning we supply phone numbers to telecommunications companies, but we do not make or control the calls made from them.
Unfortunately, there is no master database that tracks who is using a specific number in real time, and when you look up a number, it may still show Iristel as the original provider. However, we have no way of knowing which company or individual is currently using it.
We take fraud and scams very seriously, and we strongly encourage you to report this to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre and your local authorities so they can investigate further.

I have been receiving DAILY spam phone calls from this company, using DIFFERENT NUMBERS making the calls every time. I use the Canada 411 reverse and every time it shows these calls are from IRISTEL!!! That company says it's able to STOP such calls yet they are the ones making constant SPAM CALLS TO ME!!! PLEASE REPORT THEM

I am on the National Do Not Call List yet I keep getting calls and texts from numbers with this company. I block the numbers but the calls just keep coming from new numbers. I’m not interested in unsolicited marketing tactics.

If I could give negative stars I would. I receive multiple calls every day from numbers, that when reviewed by reverse phone lookup, are Iristel numbers. There is rarely anyone on the line when I answer. On the rare times that I do answer they turn out to be phishing calls attempting to get me to reveal personal and financial information. Shame on you Iristel — there ought to be a law against your kind of so-called “business”. Your business model should be considered criminal by the law.
I have noted your response to other complaints on Trust Pilot. Your response is always the same cut and paste deflection of responsibility.
Yup, just as I expected, this company sent me the exact same meaningless response that they sent to all the other people on Trust Pilot who complained about their spam calls.
Interesting — in response to the above paragraph Iristel has completely rewritten the initial response to my complaint.
As well, Iristel has been accused by the CRA of an income tax scam that defrauded Canadian taxpayers and the CRA of 63 million dollars. Google - “Radio Canada - CRA admits it paid out $63M in ’sham’ tax refund scheme” and you will find the news story.

Non-stop Harassment
I've been getting calls non-stop for past few days which I didn't' answer out of habit as I didn't recognize the numbers. Since they don't' leave any voicemail, I figured they are spams so I started to block them. They call again with slightly different last 4 digits on the phone. Today alone I received 11 phone calls starting at 7 am to now it's 3:49 pm. I reverse looked up all the numbers and they all belong to this company. It is unbelievable that companies like this are allowed to operate and harass people.

Bell Canada scam
Call from "Bell Canada" to replace the modems in our area. This is legit. However 4 hours later my bank account was hacked under the pretense that my wifi was not secure. Boy did they have the script down pat. Fortunately my bank was onto it before I even called them. I think that it is a disgrace that your company can support these overseas people. The number he gave me was 613-699-2143. I have made Bell aware of this as well.

Wow I was shocked to get a call who…
Wow I was shocked to get a call who originally thought was a client and the person calling From 7787609048 was calling me from this company. The colour had a very very heavy accent and I could not understand exactly what he was saying. The number looks similar to accompany I had previous talk to and I said oh sorry I’m still not interested but thanks for calling or something like that. He immediately started yelling at me talking over me wouldn’t let me talk very abusive saying I should learn how to answer the phone and listen to people when they’re calling and he just kept yelling and screaming at me till I admit I swear him and hung up I had lost my cool, because what was happening was totally unbelievable and was being Attacked! I guess the lower reviews for other people have been because of bad phone encounters as well, but I’ll tell you I would never call this company for communication needs I would never recommend them. I don’t either. By the way, I am a licensed Realtor and when I answer my phone, I’m never rude because I know to never bite the hand that feeds. I’m sure this is going to bother me for a long time, even though I wish it wasn’t. It was just so horrible…. Especially for someone 68 years of age!
