Modtog en henvendelse via mail, om at nogen havde forsøgt at registrer en virksomhed med samme navn som vores, hvilke de ikke kunne. Hvis vi ønsker at registrere varemærket i Danmark, er omkostningerne 4499 DKK ekskl. moms. Deres tilmelding vil blive behandlet inden for 24 timer. Hvis vi ikke svarer eller ikke er interesseret, vil vi acceptere den anden parts anmodning.

Ifølge Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys i Irland er det fup og bør ignoreres.

"It has come to our attention that a company named ‘IPR Protection’ is targeting Irish businesses with the below trade mark registration offer. Please note that this is a scam and should be ignored."

I just got the same template email.

It might be a good idea to mark the email as spam.

I just got the same email from them. I emailed them back about it as I wasn't sure if it was real. Jack Walsh has replied saying I've 3 options to choose from. I've replied asking for a phone number just to see what they say next.

Anyway to report this company?

Obvious scam is obvious. The face on their front page was taken straight from thispersondoesnotexist.com.

SCAMMERS!!! I got the same email.

Received the SCAM email in Ireland.
Here is who is sending this, they are based in Arizona. They have tried to hide all their identity.

Complete fraudsters - even the claims they make are not possible as the company office would reject them automatically. Interpol should get on to these guys
if someone could be bothered to file a suit

Same as the others, scam to try get payment.

Received an email as others did stating that another party is about to register the business name.
As far as I am aware this is not true!

Clearly an absolute scam, it did give me a chuckle it was so ridiculous, but be wary

We received this email and it is identical to other posted on here. The company has no phone number to contact or postal address.

Scam, trying to sell trademarks to scare small businesses into brand protection for a risk that doesnt exist.

I received an email which stated:

"Yesterday we received an application for the trademark registration of COMPANY NAME. This application was not filed by you or your company, but by a third party, as we observed from the application forms."

I checked with a bona-fide IP attorney and they confirmed that no such registration application has been made.

As other reviewers have pointed out the website contains no contact or company information.

Furthermore, I found the following almost identical website: eubrandprotection.com. Same staff etc.

My conclusion was that this is a fake company and the mail received is almost definitely a scam.
