We inherited some bamboo when we moved house, a large clump of what was allegedly a non-spreading variety. We have since learned there is really no such thing. After being in place for probably 20 years, it suddenly began putting out runners that were coming up all over the place, several metres away in places. So we looked around and found this company. The two guys who came to do the work, Charlie and Vlad, were very friendly and helpful and explained everything they were going to do. They had to work very hard by hand for two days because the hire company supplying the small mechanical digger they had booked failed to turn up. When it eventually arrived they moved a huge amount of earth and some very large stone boulders around a water feature, and were very thorough, even going next door to deal with some shoots that had emerged on their side. When they had finished, the whole area was left really tidy, everything that needed removing was placed in a skip. We have already had the first scheduled return visit to inspect for any regrowth (none found) and we don't expect any to emerge now. The return visits and long guarantee give great peace of mind. It's an expensive service, but we are very happy with their attention to detail and would recommend them. The potential damage that this stuff can cause if it gets near your house is huge, and the ensuing repair bills would be far higher.

I first started using this Company back in June 2023 when it was trading as Inspectas. I found their quotes undercut a number of the national operators but it was obvious from speaking to the CEO he was eminently qualified to deal with my particular issue. I paid upfront for a 5 year treatment and monitoring services for an invasive species in a number of different locations.
I am extremely pleased with every aspect of this company’s performance to date. Polite contractors attend site , the customer support is prompt and efficient and on the odd occasion when I have needed to contact the CEO he has returned my call or replied by email. More recently when i needed to sell a property I requested they fill in a questionnaire on behalf of a potential buyer. There turnaround of the paperwork and answers to direct questions was immediate and thorough. So massive thumbs up from me !

I contacted Invasive Land Remediation to clear bamboo that had spread over 2/3rds of my mothers very large garden. This has been an issue for several years and prior to us cutting the bamboo back a few months earlier the garden looked like a jungle. The bamboo had spread very thickly everywhere even growing up through the patio area. I was in the process of selling the property as my mother was going into a care home. We needed a quote to remove the bamboo as part of the sale of the property, and the neighbours had flagged up that it had spread slightly into their property and were rightly very concerned. The sale fell through and I decided to pay for the removal as summer was approaching and i didn't want it to spread any further. Andrew responded very quickly to any emails I sent and answered any questions or concerns throughout the process. We met Charlie at the property to inspect the garden prior to quoting, we liased this with the neighbour, he inspected both gardens, discussed the process, access for equipment answered any questions myself or the neighbour had. we received a comprehensive quote with photographs. Charlie was very calm and professional, this immediately put me at ease as I was finding the situation quite stressful. The work went ahead on time on the arranged date, access to both properties agreed all aware of the process and timescale, and it was completed on time. The house was empty, I felt comfortable to leave the keys with Charlie to gain access to kitchen facilities and I just left them to get on with the job, checked in once they were all hard at work. The whole area was dug out including the patio, a couple of walled areas around a pond and boarder it was a huge job. All the waste was removed and, it was then backfilled levelled with soil and seeded. They did an amazing job, when the grass started growing it was a complete transformation! The new buyers were happy, the property was sold. We received a report with follow up inspections and certification which has been transferred to the new owner. They re-inspect once prior to selling and there were no signs of bamboo. I highly recommend this company Andrew and Charlie and the team were excellent! I am so glad we used them and got the job done correctly. Thank you to all the team!

Our neighbours had to have knotweed removed, we were told it was growing on our side and that we could have that removed. Long story short, the work was done. What was supposed to be a very simple removal on our side, permission given to lift a single fence panel and remove it, turned into our garden completely ruined, our child hasn’t been able to use the garden all summer as they refused to put it right, very snotty to us over email and phone, no interest in fixing what their employee simply destroyed. There was NEVER any permission given to smash our patio, or CUT through our fence panels. They apparently tried to come back to tidy the mess, by knocking on our door once when we wasn’t even in. So don’t do it to yourselves, as this has caused massive stress and issues for us, probably will in the future as the plant wasn’t even removed properly and has already started to come back in the same place.

We had invasive bamboo across both our property and a neighbouring property. Andrew's team were top notch. They gave us a very reasonable quote for bamboo removal and the work was excellent. Adrian completed the work for us promptly and with minimal mess during severe heatwave conditions. Would highly recommend!

Andrew and the team were extremely professional throughout the whole process of reporting on and eradicating invasive bamboo. Spreading bamboo is the stuff of nightmares, after some research we decided to go with ILR. The job turned out to be a lot more complex and time consuming than expected but they were adaptable and made it work. I have to give an extra special shout out to David - the man was unbelievable with his work ethic, staying on to complete the job over weekend in very hot weather. In the end a barrier was put around the whole perimeter of the garden and the rhizomes inside were all removed (a lot of them!) There were a couple of small regrowth shoots that were dealt with promptly and I feel much more relaxed now - not having to stress about bamboo popping up everywhere! We are looking forward to getting back to having a garden we can enjoy again. If you want peace of mind then I would recommend!

We’ve just had bamboo removed by Invasive Land Remediation, who were recommended by our home insurers as well as another independent source. We had another three companies come out to quote, but they were by far the most knowledgeable and professional, and we immediately felt we were in safe hands.

We were warned that the removal might involve getting underneath patio slabs and removing some healthy plants nearby, and that is exactly what happened. The whole process was explained to us very clearly and concisely, so we knew what to expect and were fully prepared for the disruption.

Everything was completed within a week, and we were particularly impressed with Charlie, who was incredibly diligent and hardworking despite working in 35-degree heat.

A couple of bamboo shoots have appeared since the work was completed, which we had been told could happen. On both occasions, Andrew sent someone out immediately to deal with them, and they cleared them with minimal damage to our lawn. In fact, all of the lawn damage from the original work has healed really nicely.

We would thoroughly recommend Invasive Land Remediation. It is not a cheap experience but their price was very competitive and not the most expensive and given the quality of the work and service, we felt it was money well spent. They have also been excellent at responding to emails and phone calls before, during and after the work.

Overall, a very professional, knowledgeable and reassuring company to deal with.

Back in spring 2021, I was 5 months into owning my new and first house, when I noticed an incredibly fast growing tall guest in my garden - Japanese Knotweed!

I emailed Andrew Ford, the director of the company, with pictures, after for a second time I thought I may have Japanese Knotweed. Again, Andrew swiftly replied confirming that I thankfully do not have this in my garden (as per last time). Andrew was also personable.
