I don't understand how you can purchase a course and then you still being charged for your certificate. I even joined to be a member but still it's asking me to purchase my certificate. So, you complete a course, pass the course without a certificate because you will need to pay again??? THIS IS A RIPOFF!!!!!!

HIDDEN COSTS BEWARE OF THE SCAM
I paid and bought the 120-hour TESOL Certificate. After I finished the system asked to pay another $70 for the digital certificate. That's an abuse. Try using other TESOL courses who do not charge separately for everything.

Course OK but you can't return to refresh and use it after its expired
I enjoyed my dog training course once I figured how to navigate. I messed up the first study session exam as I didn't understand the system- you can't go back. I did learn and would like to refresh and practice a couple of sections, but, unlike other online courses, it disappears when your time is up.

Huge Dip in Quality
Bought the Lifetime TESOL course at the beginning of COVID and life happened so I never finished it. They recently did a bunch of restructuring so I contacted them about getting access to my old course, now that I have time I was able to devote to it. The courses are VASTLY lower quality than they were. The old course taught you about language structure, phonemes, dipthongs, IPA, anatomy of the mouth and how language is created - the new course is a very simplified common sense "course" about running a class and the very basics of sentence structure and grammar. I feel like I missed out on a high quality course that was replaced with stuff I could have learned for free on YouTube. I got my "certificate" but not much of an education. An absolute shame.

Rewarding, , Accessible, and Useful Courses and Certificates
I started working with IOA about 4 years ago to meet certification requirements as a tutor for an academy based in the UK. I took a 120-hour course in Teaching English as a Second Language. The course was offered online and I could work on it when I had time. After completion, the course certificate enabled me to meet ongoing continuing education requirements as a teacher in Illinois. I am now a lifetime member of IOA and can take whichever courses I choose whenever I choose.

ICOES Digital Certificate not received
I paid and finished the 120/hour TEFL course and after that I bought the ICOES Digital Certificate on Saturday March 23rd, 2024 (3 days ago). But I haven't received anything yet. However, I read on the website section on ICOES Digital Certificate that 'After payment is approved, please note that you will need to go to the account menu on your virtual campus account to finalize the order by clicking "Redeem Certificate"'. Yet such option, "Redeem certificate", does not show on my online platform account menu. This issue with the platform has delayed a job application I had to send last weekend, so now I'm afraid time to send in my application is over.

Knowledge is Power
I enjoy the variety of courses offered & that they have current content. Sections within the courses give you enough information to keep you intrigued but not so much that you can't retain it. Just the right amount, for me. If there is one thing that I don't enjoy fully, it'd be the certification process, or lack of. I don't want to pay extra for documentation that says I've completed said course when I've already paid to have access to the course in the first place. As most of these are just providing base knowledge for actual degrees, it might not seem that important, but when these courses could prove your commitment & give you a slight advantage over others, it could mean getting a job, or a raise, or a promotion, whatever the case may be, it doesn't feel good to put in the hard work & not be able to receive the credit, without paying extra. Don't quote me on "credit" because I'm unaware of what is or isn't on here. That's for you to discover. I do know I enjoy being able to learn about a huge variety of relevant topics.

Able to resolve my issue after seeing initial review - good platform with a wide range of courses
* matter was resolved off the back of this initial review within a few hours* Reviewing here as it seems it might be the only way to get some kind of response from this company- I did the TESOL course with yourselves in November last year, completed in in time and have since been attempting to purchase my digital certificate however there is a glitch on your website payment system making it impossible to input card details. I have gone through all normal troubleshooting processes and no change. I have emailed you three times and received no response. I have contacted you on instagram as I noticed the account was active, but again- absolutely no response- really hoping we can resolve this but the communication from this company is absolutely horrendous and non existent.

IT bundle
I had purchased an IT bundle through Wowcher but had problems redeeming the offer due to issues on Wowcher side. In effect, I asked IOA to deal with this and they did so effectively and efficiently. Bruno was a star! I have not yet started the courses so cannot yet feedback on that.

It was cheap becuase I bought voucher on Groupon otherwise I would have to pay £100 for course that has no videos explaining. The course itself has stuff that I already knew as client, not explaining anything in details. Waste of money
