Kitchens are good quality & local branches are helpful. Huge amounts of cardboard packaging with a kitchen, a skip at the branch would be really useful especially as this could be recycled.

Every person that I had dealings with were professional and helpful.
It is nice to see that there are still companies that provide brilliant customer service even after they have your money

Just had our new kitten fitted the whole process has been so easy I could not fault sean who helped design the kitchen and Lee the fitted was top notch I would highly recommend howdens for a new kitchen.

For the first time I find them expensive and staff not qualified to operate in the construction industry they are more retail staff

The planning was good
Delivery was on time but we have experienced various parts missing or insufficient ordered/ delivered eg hinges/
Screw caps/ hinge blanks/ shelf supports
One cupboard door was the wrong size

Monday 25th July
• Old kitchen ripped out at 09:00
• New Kitchen delivered at lunchtime
• 1000mm Cabinet and around 5 other parts missed from order, unable to even start the fit without this cabinet.
• All the trim was in delivered in black, all needed to be changed
• None of the kitchen was designed for push to open/close, therefore half of the kitchen was sent back.
• Fitters picked up that the “larder” wall had not been measured properly and cabinets would not fit.
• Spoke to XXXXX, he couldn’t attend site as was busy and on the way out to Bristol.
• I had to stop work, listen to the fitters and calm the family down. Entire afternoon of stress and missed work on the eve of partners operation.
• XXXXX came out on-site, shown that one side of the kitchen wouldn’t fit. Proposed that this could be rectified by “scribing”. Didn’t appreciate that this meant running a circular saw up the middle of the leading face and resulting in an obvious bodge job that is the first thing the eye is drawn to.
• I then had to drive into Gloucester Howdens as no one knew what was happening. Spoke with XXXXX, assured us the compensation would be addressed, this stopped us from cancelling and sending the kitchen back in its entirety. I decided to trust that issues would be resolved as didn’t want the delay of starting from scratch with a new kitchen provider. As it turns out I wish I had sent everything back, got money back and started from scratch.
• 3rd party calls my fitter to say worktop will not be measured until the 8th and not delivered until 18th Aug. Just hours after my old kitchen had been ripped out. No one from 3rd party or Howdens called me to tell me that I’ll be doing the washing up in the bath upstairs for over a month, and no plumbing in kitchen with missus going through chemo and operation the following day.
• Why let the old kitchen be ripped out with such a long lead time?!
• Why such a long lead time when the kitchen was ordered weeks before install?

Tuesday 26th July
• 3rd Party came to collect the wrong items just after lunch. Driver refused to look at product boxes and left. Instead I had to stop work come inside and sort through everything. Driver then failed to return as promised. I then had to stop work again and telephone to get him back here to collect items (he arrived just before closing)

Thursday 28th July
• Replacement parts delivered

Friday 29th July
• Set up for the microwave wrong, waiting for shelving kit

Monday 2nd Aug
• 2 cabinet doors are damaged and need replacing
• 1 cabinet door is missing

Monday 8th Aug
• Worktop measured

Tuesday 16th Aug
• Still waiting for cabinet shelves
• Waiting for cabinet side to be collected and reimbursed

Wednesday 17th Aug
• Time off work again to meet with XXXXX

Thursday 18th Aug
• Worktop due to be fitted

Friday 19th Aug
• Fitter getting married
• No idea when I’ll have running water in kitchen
• Partner is recovering from last week chemo and the disappointment of her operation being delayed. She is hugely disappointed in the service, as she specifically choose Howdens as she wanted a hassle free install for herself and family whilst she was out of action.

Professional service, helpful ideas, swift execution and delivery make working with Howdens a pleasure.

Yet again when ordering I told Howdens to send all of the kitchen without anything missing or don’t send any of it.
For the third time in a row parts missing and then informed would be several weeks before they could fulfill the order
