Même si c'est très tentant de l'utiliser en mode gratuit (pas besoin de compte, connexion rapide, changement de serveur facile et kill switch intégré), ne le faîtes pas. Le VPN a tendance a se déconnecter tout seul et malgré le kill switch activé, votre IP apparait en clair. Pour résumer : pas fiable du tout, oubliez.

Nous avons examiné votre compte et constaté que le prélèvement a été effectué en janvier, tandis que votre première demande d'annulation et de remboursement date d'octobre. Ce délai étant largement dépassé (45 jours), nous ne sommes malheureusement pas en mesure de procéder à un remboursement.
Nous avons également examiné toutes vos interactions précédentes et n'avons trouvé aucune trace d'une demande d'annulation antérieure au renouvellement. Notre équipe vous a également communiqué ces informations par e-mail et reste à votre disposition pour toute question ou clarification supplémentaire.

Hotspot Shield Drops Linux, Breaks Trust with Long-Time Users
I have been a loyal Hotspot Shield customer for many years, even purchasing a lifetime subscription because I trusted the company’s long-term vision. Unfortunately, I now feel completely let down.
Hotspot Shield recently decided to drop Linux support entirely. For a VPN service that should prioritize privacy-minded users, abandoning Linux — one of the most security-conscious platforms — feels like a total disregard for long-time customers.
To make matters worse, support gave me conflicting and misleading answers. First, I was told I could still use a browser extension on Firefox. Later, another agent admitted that the Firefox extension no longer exists. In other words, there is no working solution for Linux users, despite years of loyalty and payment.
As a lifetime subscriber, I’m not about to switch to Windows or Mac just to keep using a service I already paid for. This decision leaves Linux customers stranded, with no alternatives provided.
For anyone considering Hotspot Shield: be aware that platform support may be dropped without warning, and promises to “lifetime” users clearly don’t carry much weight.
