hmv (UK) - Edinburgh Princes Street Anmeldelser 

HMV. Somewhat flawed system in place that I personally encountered. I was given a gift card for Christmas, that I couldn’t use online so I thought of phoning up a store to see if they had anything I’d like available to buy but you have to pay to phone HMV locations. So, I rock up to the Edinburgh Princess’ street location on a whim and I’m told the game I’m interested in isn’t there (PS5 Release) because they don’t stock games anymore. So, I had to use my ‘in store’ gift card, to buy a game on the ‘HMV website’, in store so I could get it delivered to ‘my house’. Wow. That’s a lot of work for a product… guy on the counter was a gem though. CEO’s fix the company, yeh?

As requested, my CD box set was delivered (within a cardboard box), to my local store. I collected it, and took it home. I opened the protective box, and found the box set, still shrink-wrapped, inside. The casing of the box set was clearly damaged, which begs the question "who shrink-wrapped a damaged product?".
I took it back to the store, but they didn't have another copy of the box-set. I was told to take it home, and start the lengthy process of arranging a replacement copy from the website. However, when I checked the website, it contained contradictory information on the returns process. To cut a long story short, I was left bemused by the whole process, though (thankfully) the local store eventually accepted the damaged box, and re-ordered another.

The package arrived really quickly, well packaged and looks fantastic. I'm really happy to add this steelbook to my collection.

Excellent service in Edinburgh store, Princes St. Young lady went the extra mile to help me order some old movies. Instant Email receipts provided all the necessary information. Delivery was faster than expected. Overall a really successful store visit.

Have only listened so far to 1 of the 3 vinyl albums I purchased. Only to find Katherine Priddy’s ‘special edition’ transparent green LP is scratched! It was a gift for my partner and am not sure how I can prove we didn’t cause it. The delivery from HMV was fine but the scratch is very disappointing and am aware that’s nothing to do with HMV really as they don’t produce & package …

I placed my preorder in store for collection in store. The process was very easy, and the store staff were very friendly and helpful. The order was available for collection at the time stated, and again, the collection process was easy, and the staff member was courteous and friendly. All round, it was a very good experience.

Product was in excellent condition arrived on time company is always sincere in describing item I enjoy shopping with HMV. IVE NEVER HAD TO COMPLAIN..KEEP UP THE good work.

I was kept informed of the changed date of release for the CD I ordered. The delivery was trouble free and the product was in good condition when it arrived.

The online choice is huge, and it was very easy to pick up in store when in town. The people in store were great too.

This store is a mixed bag. The staff seems to struggle with outdated software. But we placed our order and it came by Royal Mail in due course. So thank you hmv, and may you stay in business until we meet again.

I was in urgent need of a DVD and the person at the store helped me find it and get it ordered in the nick of time! He was so kind and helpful. Thanks for such a pleasant experience!
