Highly recommended for their excellent service and sensible advice. Went to listen to turntables and ended up staying for a few hours. Jamie went through them and changed the amplifier and speakers so we could get a good idea of how that altered the overall sound. He made it clear that there was no point in spending more on a turntable if its performance was limited by the other parts of the system. At the end we were happy we could make the correct choice based on how it was going to be used.

So, where to start: I bought the Rega Elicit amp from these guys exactly a year ago whilst away on a New Years vacation, and was so impressed with the customer service and advice given, that I made a point of travelling 3 hours back this year to consider purchase of the Rega Planar 8 and Saturn MK3 CD player.

My experience exceeded last year’s service provided; not only did they remember me, they set aside a 3 hour window for myself and a few colleagues to demo the products being considered.

Sales personnel that are neither pushy, insincere or impatient are a rare breed. Jamie and Charlie are exactly the types of advisors you want when potentially parting with significant sums of money for toys you’ve always dreamed of.

Both Jamie and Charlie demonstrated an exceptional level of product knowledge and a genuine passion for audio equipment. Their expertise guided me towards the Rega Planar 3 50th Anniversary turntable. This turntable marked a significant upgrade for me, and I am very happy with the performance of the Rega Planar 3.

I will return soon to HiFi Gear for a new amplifier, confident in the excellent service and product recommendations I have received. I wholeheartedly recommend HiFi Gear to fellow audio enthusiasts.
