Couldn't recommend The Handy Squad enough! Robert was our Handyman and the quality of his work was excellent! He put up a HUGE TV on the wall for us, and when we asked him to do 3 other jobs he did them quickly and without fuss. He was a really friendly guy. And the efficiency of HS HQ was also impressive! Will definitely use again!

I have used Handysquad for many years and have always found their work excellent, punctual and very helpful. Robert sorted out a number of jobs in my house coming up with solutions and saving me money on parts.

I've now used the handy squad on multiple occasions.
My recent dealing with them has been very good. They helped me arrange the work even through I was travelling overseas.
all the things I needed fixed were fixed which is great.

They do have a new policy where they want to lock the money up front for the visit. I admit if I hadn't used them before this would put me off, but on this occasion I was happy to do it because I have use them before and their work has been good.

On one of the jobs Russell the handy man actually went above and beyond and build a "hing" where the original was broken and we couldn't get a replacement so very grateful for his ingenuity.

Excellent service from the Handy Squad. Very efficient and pleasant - would 100% use again.

I was very impressed with the smooth processes and arranging my booking. The handyman who visited was very capable, friendly...and, importantly, for the job done. Very much recommended.

They offer a great service. I am an interior designer who use the Handy squad on many occasions when i need smaller jobs installed - pictures, shelves, curtains etc. They are always on time, friendly and do a good job. However on a recent project - after just over a month - a shelf has come loose and fallen down. When this was fitted by the handy man with glue he stated it would hold, although for the remaining shelves I ran out and purchased different screws to be safe.(I am not the expert - it is why i hired them) Alas, the glued shelf has fallen. I called their office to discuss a remedial visit to refit the shelf and was told it would be a minimum full handy man fee. They offer no snagging time period or even a reduced fee for remedial visit. Was told the handy man 'left no notes' that he would need to revisit?! This seems odd, it is not something he would know about happening. I would be more than happy to wait for a handy man in the area or close by to reduce travel costs.
A pity as I will no longer be using their services due to the poor customer service i received.

Just used The Handy Squad for the fifth time this morning - this time to decorate our Baby Nursery. Bill was fantastic and worked through half a dozen tasks (hanging frames, curtain pole, floating shelves etc) efficiently with great attention to detail & skill. Really pleasant guy as well.

Excellent service and highly recommended - easy to book, arrived on time and quality of work top notch.

We have contacted the handy squad twice now and think it is an excellent service. Instead of floundering around when something breaks or collapses, speedy help is available at a 'phone call. Richard arrives when he says he will, sorts out the problem rapidly and disappears off to his next call. There used to be an advert, years ago, about having a bank manager in a cupboard in case of need. This is surely the equivalent for us hopeless DIY-ers..

Radek & Nicholas arrived on time; they were polite & friendly and got on with the jobs. No teeth sucking, just efficient worksmanship. Would recommend.

I was told to purchase the incorrect value for the radiator, so when they came back to fit it they couldn't. They charged me £189 to do nothing. I was quoted £400 to take off and replace the radiator, they would not honor their original quote and tried to charge me more to come back and fit it, despite being told by their plumber to order the wrong values.

Further they measured the pipes, they said the pipes were in the correct position, I had my new floor laid. The pipes were not moved, however they said they couldn't fit the radiator. They basically hadn't measured it properly.

They also came to the house to quote for another job, but forgot to do it and then made up some random quote which I knew was incorrect (too cheap/not enough time).

I am a very honest person, if I know something is my fault then I'm happy to pay for it. But this wasn't my fault and I paid.

I wish I had used Pimilco Plumbers, the pricing is basically the same and they are honest and do a quality job.

Customer service was also unresponsive, and they don't seem to know how to pick up a phone.

I would highly recommend The Handy Squad. I specifically had Nicholas who was very informative, useful and well presented. He was extremely helpful with my plumbing and toilet seat replacement.

It was an absolute pleasure. Lovely people doing a great job.

We recently moved into a new office in central London and needed some odd jobs to be done. We are extremely happy with the service provided by The HandySquad.

Nicholas was amazing, he provided excellent service and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. He was friendly, helpful and professional.

We will definitely be using HandySquad again!

I have used Handy Squad before but not for some years. I am glad to say they are still as efficient and helpful as ever.

Radek arrived promptly, was polite and patient. The item that he was to help me with, wasn't ready, so he was happy to find some other bits to do while he waited.

Everything was done to a high standard and swiftly, in fact the final charge was less than was originally quoted!

Would definitely use them again.

Professional, punctual, efficient and polite, we couldn't ask more from the team.
We would like to give a special mention to Nicholas who not only provided excellent service, but who went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. He was friendly, helpful and ready to answer any questions we had.
This is a quality service, we have used a number of companies in the past but this one we will be sticking with.

Radek was extremely efficient and fast and even made some good suggestions for placement of items that I wanted putting up. He really went the extra mile to get some special tape for putting a sign up in my son's room. Thank you!

Have used a few times now for jobs ranging from plumbing to furniture assembly to picture hanging. Great to be able to have a list of different jobs undertaken by one person during one session which can be booked to fit in with full-time work. Most recently, Nicholas was excellent at furniture assembly and meticulous applying privacy film to windows. Booking is easy and pricing transparent.

The plumber sent by the Handy Squad did not deal with the issues that I had booked them for. Despite explaining the exact job required (including photos of the problem) I was charged for two hours work where the plumber did not attempt to undertake the requested task and was instead given a quote for the job to take a further 3 hours at an overpriced amount. It was cheaper and quicker for my husband to undertake the work himself even though he had no plumbing experience and needed to buy some specialist plumbing tools. The handy squad use a system where you are booked in for a two hour slot and will not complete the job if the tradesman thinks it may take slightly longer when they arrive on site, even though they had a full description prior to booking. I feel as though the Handy squad rely on public who do not have any understanding of plumbing and take advantage of a system where you book hourly appointments to push expensive return visits. 

I made a verbal complaint by phone which was ignored and so followed up with a written complaint requesting a refund (full or partial). I was offered £50 to be offset against the 2nd quoted price for fixing the copper elbow. I declined this offer as this would still make the work incredibly overpriced if undertaken by the handysquad. I believe that it was unfair for a qualified plumber to have viewed the photo I provided and to allocate a 2 hour appointment window which they subsequently felt the job could not be completed in; I question the ability of the qualified plumber if this job could then be done by a non-professional in less time.

I’ve used HandySquad several times for “little jobs” that are beyond my DIY skills, most recently they repaired a chair whose leg had split in half and fallen off, and an ottoman who’s hinges had come loose. Booking process was very easy, Bill arrived on time, with an enthusiastic , can-do attitude, did the job effectively and without leaving any mess. I find it’s a really good service to deal with domestic niggles quickly and easily.
