I just installed my new alarm system. Which arrived next day after ordering. The quality of the equipment is excellent and with the aid of Simon’s YouTube videos it was very easy to install.
I had an issue with my SIM card and messaged Simon. He came back with in minutes and even took the time to make a short video to show me how to resolve the issue. This was at 9 PM. He is a true gentleman and I would highly recommend his company. Very professional.

I'm not sure what else I can add to the justified praise and recommendations that has not already been stated in the many 5 star reviews.

From the moment I made preliminary enquiry contact with Simon to the final advice sought post installation, he could not have been more helpful with prompt helpful advice and responses.

I installed the system taking advantage of Simon's many You Tube videos clips for each components installation as I added them to the system which made everything so simple.

My house has 50cm thick stone walls which I knew would pose possible problems for the radio signals used by the alarm system. I did establish that the signal would pass through the 50cm thick stone walls. However, I positioned the control panels and key pad centrally in the house such that all monitors had a direct line of sight through doorways or partition walls giving excellent signal communication strength.

The exception was the external siren installation where my ideal positioning would require the signal to pass through two 50cm thick walls. Testing at this position did show a weakening of the signal reception. I thus located the siren such that the signal only had to pass through one thick stone wall.

As I unboxed each component, I was very impressed by the high quality and sturdy finish of each item.
Of course, the moment came when I had to activate the system and more importantly test each monitor. A bit of a learning curve, so as to speak, but a great lesson in learning about arming , disarming and the value of the fob.
Luckily, I say luckily as being 74 and not over savvy with technology, I expected the worse. But wow! everything functioned correctly.

I'd unreservedly recommend both the system and the customer support provided by Simon.

Alarm system delivered within 24 hours, looks smart, easy install.
App is excellent and Simon responded to my query within 10 minutes on a Sunday morning!

System update.
Been running the Guardfather alarm system for a few months now and it’s been spot on. Had a couple of very small issues, but every time I need any help, simon’s customer service is always there, immediately, and always points me in the right direction and gets things sorted very quickly and efficiently. Would recommend the Guardfather alarm system to anyone who’s thinking about purchasing. We’re really pleased we purchased.

Its rare that a product truly outshine your expectations, but the guardfather security system really has. All the kit has a quality look and feel, seems to have been designed with real care and common sense, and is reasonably priced.

Add to that the fact that Simon is very responsive and helpful, and you've got a product that is easily worthy of a 5 star review and recommendation.

Only feedback for future models is the screw holes on the siren could be larger as it was a bit fiddly to fit on the top of a ladder, but not impossible.

I was looking for an alarm system for my home and did originally look at ‘bigger brands’ then I came across Guardfarther and Simon’s videos on YouTube. I took the plunge and have no regrets, the alarm system is top notch, easy to install and Simon’s customer service and support sets him and the Guardfather apart from the rest!

Excellent communication from Simon from the start. I have fitted similar products before including my previous alarm however I found the system easy to install and the app was straight forward to use. The instructional video that Simon sends you is much easier than trying to follow written instructions. It is also re-assuring to know that Simon is only a WhatsApp message away if anything is a problem. It has only been installed for a short time but is working well when tested.

Simon has created the perfect security system for those that want to remain in control and have the flexibility to expand and adapt the installation. The support is excellent, the guidance is very easy to understand, and above all the company is willing to hear from, and listen to possible improvements to make it even better! Just installed the system and it was quick and easy with great support from the Guardfather team. Took me longer to get the old system and wires out. It was simple to place the motion sensors and put the door sensors with no ugly cables or electrical work. Would highly recommend this system.

Simon is one in a million! He didn't install a system for me, I had questions about a system I fitted myself as a DIYer. He gave advice and step by step instructions to fix the 3 issues I had. If he can give this level of care and attention to a total stranger on a system that he has no responsibility for, I can only conclude that any customer of his will receive a service that is outstanding. He has qualities that are rare these days, it is difficult to find genuine caring, helpful people, Simon is a rare breed in today's society. I was researching wireless DIY security alarms for a while and after watching videos on The Guardfather on YouTube I decided to give it a go and I’m so pleased I did. After a garage burglary, we were anxious to find a competitively-priced alarm that we could fit ourselves with minimal technical faff! We are getting on a bit!
After some thorough research and reading many reviews, we are so glad that we bought the Guardfather package.
Everything is high quality, but the absolute best thing is that Simon is so incredibly good at explaining everything in detail in all the various short videos for each component.
There were only one or two things that we checked with him by e mail, and he responds within a hour or two max. NOTHING is too much trouble for him, and he is engaging and polite throughout, never making you feel a nuisance!
Very pleased with the whole experience. Simon has found a niche for people requiring a simple, high-quality system, that doesn’t baffle you!….. And if it does… he’s there for you!

It was easy to set up and although I needed some guidance with the final connection Simon was on the phone taking me step by step through to the completion of system.

The YouTube videos, especially the long 30 minute one lead you through the installation perfectly. There are a lot of things to do for a full system, but reading all the leaflets and watching the videos means it can easily be accomplished step by step.
Very glad I chose it and can certainly recommend it to anyone.
Support is excellent. I didn't have any problems and the system worked fine, but I saw a strange setting and mentioned it to Simon who pointed out that I must have inadvertently changed the setting. He fixed it in a couple of minutes.

I have been using monitored police response alarms for years and last one for over 15 years which was a Risco system, but they, over the years started to charge fees after fees and even now have to pay for the app. Forget having to change even one pir battery, have to call an engineer out and pay a fortune to have a few batteries changed that cost less the a fiver to get..so ended up getting the engineers code and did it my self, but as the system was getting old and sensors started to wake us up with tamper alarm up to 3 times a night and even with the engineers code I could not set them to omit the zones so that it doesn’t go off whenever. So we decided to look for a system that is cost effective and low maintenance and easy to install and most importantly we can control and program it.
That is when we came across guardfather system, was a bit skeptical at first, reviews look good, so decided to ask some question as I wanted to make sure it did everything I wanted like my last alarm that I had, surprise within 10 min Simon replied back and it was after 8 at night, and after a few emails back and forth I realised that it could do everything with this alarm as the last one and better,(no need for police response any more nor do they ever come out and 3 false alarm and forget it then), I decide to order the system that night.

The delivery came within 48 hours, arrived at 6pm on Saturday and had 10 zones 3 siren boxes 2 key pads 1 hub and 2 key fob, all installed and programmed by 12 midnight, just on my own.. did use the old PIR wall holes to put the new ones in.. my last system took 2 days to install and program by 2 engineers and even then they had to come back a few time for teething problems, was wireless as well.
I had a slight issue with how to part set for night, so I messaged Simon after midnight thinking will get the reply when I wake up in the morning but within minutes he replied back, and sorted that night.

The alarm system is much better then Risco or the other top brands and I have had a few over the last 35 years and it is so easy to use and set up and any problem Simon will have it sorted within hours if not in minutes. And there is no ongoing cost and it can me monitored by my whole family, so if we are away and the alarm goes of my family and sons who live locally becomes my monitoring station and despatched security guard to my house (basically they have to get out of bed and go round and moan about it along the way) and no annual fees.

I give my Hats off to Simon and his start up and for coming up with this wonderful alarm system and I have given him a few feedback how to improve from my alarm experiences in the future which he was really grateful for as customer feed back is something any new company need to listen and grow, on one within 24 hours did an update on the app. I do still have 2 sites that uses Risco alarms and will bring one over 2 Simon and unfortunately with my business one I need police response so will have to stay with risco for now unless Simon offers that in the future which his main hub is set up to do which I can see in the advance setting is already their.
I have no doubt if Simon keeps the good work up he will be up their with the big boys very soon.

Researching guided me to Guardfather and reviews indicated a good product for a DIY non fee alarm system .
Next day delivery from order and great communication with Simon assisted me to set up my home system. I only had issue during install with SIM card and resolved OK , SIM card put in wrong way around.
Also outside garden sensor set off alarm by swinging hanging baskets on windy day resolved by setting to low sensitivity.
External sounder has a very loud setting which can be adjusted. I have it one below loudest and is good enough not to annoy but loud enough to attract attention.
I spent a lot of time to test and customise system to my requirements particularly to options for “stay at home” and “away” settings.
Great system with lots of settings to allow an individual to customise their system.

Delighted with my Guardfather alarm system. The installation and setup of the system is straightforward by following the YouTube tutorials. Customer support is exceptional!
