We are a small HVAC company. My account was suspended early due to an automated system error, despite completing the required compliance training on time. When I called support, I was bounced between departments, given incorrect information, and promised a reactivation that never came. After multiple calls and long hold times, I was told my account had been fully terminated due to inactivity while I was on the phone!! All while I had a customer actively waiting to be financed.
I now have to reapply and wait up to 5 business days, and have already lost an estimated $20,000 in business because of it. For a small business that relies on financing as a selling tool, this level of miscommunication and lack of urgency is simply not acceptable.

Made a payment to pay off balance and they told me it was reversed and didnt go through after telling me by email the account had been paid off. F Greensky! One of the worst companies ever! Once I get this cleared up I will never deal with them again.

What a pos company, we had our loan approved through them with Dreamstyle to get our bathroom remodeled. After approval, Dreamstyle seemed to disappear and ditched everyone. The project never started, and Greensky will not remove the loan from our credit report. This all started when I called Jacuzzi bath remodel, and they sent us a rep from Dreamstyle. When you call Greensky, it rings, and a voice message appears, and then hangs up. The online help was worthless. STAY away from this company!!!!!

There is an application started with my name that I didn't...they wont talk to me with out me giving them PII info about it...terrible customer service.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Had to because that is the only company my electrician provided. Stay away!!! My tax refund will go to being away from these con-artists.

I applied for a loan and when I saw the interest rate and terms I did not proceed with financing through Greensky. Greensky reported to the Credit Bureaus that I opened an account. When I contacted Greensky they told me it was my responsibility to close the account even though I never opened an account. Everything about this company seems shady.

We go through greensky because we got windows through Renewable by Anderson and let me tell you was the worst thing we could have done. Greensky has hidden fees it's seem like the cost never goes down because once your done paying more monthly fees are added. Absolute horrible company. If you want to be paying for something for ever steer clear of these crooks.

This company is a money hungry outfit. Please do not do business with this company. They do things behind your back, and without your knowledge, and make you out to be the bad guy. If I had read the reviews of this company, I would have NEVER DEALT WITH THEM!!!

I would not recommend GreenSky. Despite having an excellent credit score of 822, I was offered a loan with a 12.99% interest rate, which is surprisingly high for someone with strong credit. I expected much more competitive terms, and this experience was disappointing. I would suggest others carefully review their options before moving forward.

My bank sent a payment on 3/5/26. It did not clear my bank and Greensky did not post it as received. I tried reaching Greensky on five different phone numbers. All said the same recording: We are gathering information on a late payment. I tried everything to reach a human but that was impossible. Here's what what Greensky advertises:

Need I list the other four numbers I tried that all had the same recording about collecting information and then offering me payment options, none of the options led to a service rep or human of any description .
I paid off the balance of the loan today. I will not deal with this company ever again and same for the company that recommended it.

They scammed my grandpa out of a ac unit he purchased was supposed to cover his whole property he has a 3 bedroom house the unit they uncharged him only works for one room in the house this company is a scam do not do business with them let’s all come together and file a claim against them or something this is not right

Poor customer service & communication. Almost every single customer we referred to apply for financing through them was denied, and I reached out to get information and to help our customers with absolutely no responses whatsoever. But as soon as I emailed our rep to cancel, they had our account cancelled in less than 30 mins. Guess my questions for actual customer use didn't matter, but my cancellation did? Not a company I'd recommend to any companies considering home services financing.

I bought carpet from express carpet. They use greensky to do a “No interest for 12 months” thought it was a great deal until my Security company called and said they sold my info on the Dark Web!!What finance company would sell your info to anyone?
What a Scam

Be aware that this company is involved in scams and works with contractors who are also scammers. I spent almost $10,000 on a new driveway, but now I don't have the money or a proper driveway. The contractor's work was of the lowest quality. My driveway is cracking and rusting, making it look like it's 40 years old. It's a total loss. Thank you Greensky

I'm only giving one star because it's the minimum that can be given. They take advantage of older people. They are charging me late charges though I haven't even had it for 30 days, they don't tell you when the payment is due and they don't send a contract. They are hard to get in touch with wouldn't recommend ever ever.

Was lied to. On Payment plan. Any company that uses Greensky will not be getting my business.

I am only giving one star because it is the minimum that can be given. I wouldn't even go that high. This company is basically a legal loan shark. They will give you a decent rate however what they wont tell you is that out of your payment 90% of it will go to fees. You will end up paying two or three times what you borrow. Stay as far away from this company as you can.

I want to point out something important because a lot of people don’t realize the difference between true 0% interest and deferred interest.

This GreenSky financing through Hiller was true 0% promotional interest — not the kind where they go back and charge interest on the original balance if you don’t pay it off completely. I didn’t pay the full balance off during the promo, but I paid it down significantly. When the promo ended, interest only applied to the remaining balance, not the original amount.

Everything worked exactly as explained. Payments posted correctly, no surprise charges, and no retroactive interest. If you understand the terms and use it responsibly, this is a very fair and transparent financing option.

As other people have said- you must release the funds if most of works has been done. But, we are still waiting for updated plans and final inspection from county and the work was done May 31st 2025. Over 5 months they have their money we don't have the work done.
