Beware of Auto Renew
UPDATE: I called customer service back and spoke to a different rep. She was so understanding and helpful. She was able to escalate my request and within 20 minutes I received an email showing the the recent renewal had been cancelled and the money was refunded. I give her 5 stars for her customer service but I only gave GoToMeeting 3 stars because I should not have had to call back to get this done.

I am a director of a very small non-profit. I received an auto renewal receipt email this morning for our GoToMeeting subscription. I had intended to cancel this subscription earlier this year due to lack of use but forgot. When I saw the email this morning, I immediately got on-line and cancelled the subscription but that only cancelled the auto renew for the NEXT subscription period. I called customer service to cancel the current auto renewed subscription and get a refund but was told by the rep that due to their terms and conditions they would not cancel the current subscription nor refund the money even though it just renewed this morning. I thought they would at least try to work with me on this. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Terrible Customer Service! We joined join.me which I guess is part of goto meeting. When you go to join.me it automatically redirects you to the gotomeeting page and when I go to my account it says I have no active account so I wanted to cancel the subscription. I checked and since no account was listed as active I thought it wouldn't auto renew. Well it did under join.me (which you cannot find under accounts because of the auto redirect). I had to call customer service to even find it and then asked to cancel and they only cancelled auto renew and would not refund me even though the renewal happened 1 day ago and there was no way to cancel it online. It was going through hoops, auto systems, and more to just speak to someone. Awful service. Much better systems and customer service out there if you want a remote meeting service.

They are sneaky and renew and continue to charge when the service is not used. They are not helpful at all and would not recommend them to any one.
Snaky, sneaky auto renewal
Their business model relies on snaky auto renewal revenue by continuing to charge the credit card despite the customer never using the service and trying to cancel. When confronted, they refused to refund the ADVANCE charge for a year’s renewal. That means that they are taking money and NOT providing the service. Truly immoral.
TERRIBLE customer service.
TERRIBLE customer service. Very deceptive in their business practices. Tried to cancel, but was denied even though received email to contact if auto-renew was a mistake. When contacted, they advised email is incorrect, and could not cancel the auto-renew, but could reduce NEXT YEARS auto-renew by 75-80%. ???
A true nightmare to deal with
A true nightmare to deal with. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I’ve been trying to resolve a billing issue with them since JUNE (it’s now nearly September) with no luck. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent on the phone and writing emails to these incompetent people. The company I work for has a product with them that’s been fully paid for on an annual basis (I have proof of such) but they’re claiming they don’t see the payment on their end, and are now trying to claim that we have a monthly subscription of $39.00 due to them - WE DO NOT. They charged my credit card for this amount without my consent or knowledge. Truly the most disorganized company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

They lied during the sales process regarding their capabilities to get a small commitment from a small business.
Then during the setup process when they couldn’t fulfil their commitments we informed them we weren’t moving forward and admitted to misleading sales information, but wanted us to pay the set up fee

Annual subscription renewal hard to stop
Annual subscription renewal is hard to turn off - ended up inadvertently paying for another year when I haven't used it in 2 years. Ended up having to call to cancel. Glad new laws are getting made to prevent this scammy behavior.

The amount of spam mail received is incredible. They do not seem to do any screening whatsoever.
It has gotten so bad I now automatically delete any mail coming from them whether it's legitimate or not.
NEVER give them your email address.

Scam. They continue to sent demands for payment 6 months after I cancelled. They refuse to acknowledge my cancellation. Platform is not worth the headache you’ll get on the billing side.

This is a website for scammers to send unsolicited emails. I get so many random emails no matter how much I block this company platform.

è in assoluto la più peggiore piattaforma che io abbia mai usato! è terribile! purtroppo per questo corso hanno scelto goto e ci da OGNI GIORNO un'ampia varietà di problemi più vari, non ne posso più! Spesso crasha, Il microfono non funziona, OGNI UN PAIO DI MINUTI SMETTO DI SENTIRE per 30-60 sec e questo è sufficiente per non poter seguire la lezione. Sul cellulare surriscalda troppo telefono.

Prendi ad esempio i corsi che si pagano attraverso FormaTemp , che business.
Guardando le recensioni positivi sugli altri siti resto basito..

PESSIMA PIATTAFORMA impalla un computer intero, impossibile pensare di aprire una pagina internet nel frattempo, sconsigliatissima.
Veramente arduo seguire dei corsi in questo stato!
3 Companies combine and never figured it out
2025 Another two years and they still have not combined their products. Still using the old and new names. Still Admin is a mess. Still kludging new features on the old mess. We only make one major vendor change at a time but they are next.
2023 Currently they have had trouble running my payment though nothing changed. When I spend a long time to reach an agent, no problem, it goes through. Just running the card already on file. There is no longer anyone managing the account. I ask why I have responded to all their payment emails for months and forwarded them to all known contacts, and nothing. Even today, agents will run the card but tell me the products still have separate accounts. I call both, both have no problem running my payment. Explanation? None, do not worry. My sales rep? The number they give me goes to a VM with no name. This is chaos. This company runs like 4 or more disjointed companies. There is logmein, gotomeeting, gotoconnect and jive, which I think they are dumping. And the product names in admin do not match the product names you purchase after years of an incomplete merge/kludge of the companies. They have separate admin sites for the products, and you have to bounce around 3 or 4 admin sites looking to handle the same employee. It is a mess.
Bro never ever recommend
I am grasshopper customer that always support with GOTO and never ever recomme. I missed a lot of customers with grasshopper and their support
Awful spammer company
Awful spammer company. They allow spam lists to be loaded into ANY webinar invitation. Even though they have a link titled "Stop GoTo Webinar emails" under each email, they only let you opt out from receiving emails from that specific webinar. I'm absolutely SICK OF GETTING GOTOWEBINAR EMAILS and I will post this review to all review websites, Google Maps, Facebook etc. plus I will submit complaints to authorities regarding GPDR and CCPA violations. I suggest everyone should do the same.
Goto used to be good, now it's dreadful
Goto used to be good, but now they are terrible. The APP itself is subfunctional. There is an update APP. Good luck trying to get that on your desk top unless you have a lot of time to waste. They also make it very difficult to contact billing to cancel subscriptions. If you are considering goto for the first time. My advice is DON'T.
