Wide range of options for our new tent however didn’t have the one we wanted in store. Lots of staff about, but none terribly attentive or helpful - too busy chatting amongst themselves. When I was able to get someone to help they just struggled and said if it’s not there we don’t have any. Not terribly helpful. She was also unable to tell us when it would be back in stock so suggested we ordered online. We did that and it said 3 days delivery. It took 8 working days to arrive. Customer service wasn’t great.

We visited the Belfast store to look at tents and other equipment for camping. We were assisted by Bradley who was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He is an absolute credit to the store and just made it an enjoyable experience. I purchased sun glasses and as he walked past he took the opportunity to point out that there was a free carry bag to accompany them that I hadn’t realised was there. In passing he also spoke to anither lady who had purchased a child’s folding chair and he demonstrated how to collapse it as there is a bit of a quirk which catches some people out. I can just tell he enjoys his job and goes above and beyond 😃

I had a few questions about OEX, Rab and Peter Storm jackets and Dagmara was brilliant. Dealt with my many queries and explained how to care for a Gore Tex jacket as well. Then it was layers time and again Dagmara came to the rescue. All in all a successful shop and a fantastic assistant in Dagmara. Prosze!

The store is extremely good value for money. The staff particularly Sarah-Louise are absolutely fantastic, very helpful, very knowledgeable and give the impression that they were happy to help. Really good place to shop for all your outdoors needs. The staff are exceptional in their customer service.

Really helpful staff

Went in to buy sleeping bags for a homeless charity in Belfast, being a member the sleeping bags were £10 instead of £20. I bought 2 boxes, 8 bags in each box. Unknown to the girl at the checkout these sleeping bags were for charity but she was very helpful and said they could get a better deal, so between her and 2 other staff we managed to get a very good deal. Thank you to Clare, Maia and Charlene for going over and above.

Unfortunately customer service is severely lacking in the Abbey centre store. Lots of staff wandering around the store but wasn’t approached once to ask if we needed anything. Also stood waiting at the tills while 4 members of staff stood chatting and laughing with one another to the side of the counter. Watched a lady in front of us give up and leave and don’t blame her. When someone eventually opened up another till there was no apology and it was like we had inconvenienced her by trying to spend money in the store. A really uncomfortable experience and disappointed as the place is expensive and we were spending a lot of money… doubt we will be back.

Bradley gave me great advice on tent choice ( OEX Hyena 2) when replacing my decayed item. Was out off stock, but he had me one next day, also got an OEX chair as I'm looking a bit of comfort these days.

Been in a good few times this summer and all the staff have been really helpful when I approach them- shout out to Sarah-Louise who is the reason for the 5 stars, she give over and above, listens and friendly in a professional way.

Just left Go outdoor in Belfast had brilliant experience with their staff particularly Ben in boot department. I will return soon

What made my experience great was the help that I got from the staff member called Mark. He was able to advise me about the camping equipment that suited my needs and quickly realised that I had a disability and helped me get all my camping equipment gathered up and even packed it into my car for me, as I could not lift the heavy 8 man tent and some others items. I am extremely grateful for the help as it was a little embarrassing for me as I could not manage doing this all alone I have been back since and Mark has been quick to help myself and other customers. I even offered him a tip for his kindness, but he would not take it out of respect for the situation I was in.

I have never had a bad visit to this store all staff are approachable and helpful, One staff member Sam stands out as he goes out of his way to make your visit as easy and stressless as possible, he advises you of whats the best for what your looking to do.

This is our second time in two weeks visiting the Belfast store.
On both occasions we received excellent customer service from Sam. His expertise in the camping field was outstanding. Would def recommend this store. We will be back 🤗
