I was in the Newtownabbey store today. Mark was extremely helpful with an excellent knowledge of the products and great customer service.

Visited the store today to purchase a camping stove, hadn't a clue what to buy..was assisted by Bradley who was very knowledgeable and polite..top marks young man!!!

I bought a flask which turned out to be faulty (manufacturer's fault not Go Outdoor's) and arrived at closing time, but Judith was happy to serve me. She sorted out a refund and found me a replacement product in double-quick time which turned out to be much better. Helped me get over the annoyance of having to get a refund because I couldn't have asked for a better response - thanks!

The workers (Dagmara + Olivia and one other dude) were very helpful and in a relatively short time got me what I wanted. The only thing that could have gone better is that the specific site I went to (in Belfast) is unable to click and collect for some odd reason. Also because of Brexit shenanigans some shoes I was trying to get weren’t in stock in Northern Ireland so even though I could add them to the online bag I wasn’t able to ship them to my place and the website wouldn’t tell me why. Probably will come back even though it is like an hour and 20 minutes away from where I stay. (By bus cause I’m a student)

Absolutely fabulous customer. First Lady for us sorted with wellies for the children- patient, kind, helpful. Second Lady rang through to a colleague to check on stock, approachable, friendly manner. Then at the till, friendly service!
I was taken back from the level of customer care! Absolutely fabulous, thank you all!

Fantastic customer service from Carly & Dagmara!! From the phone call soon as they open to supporting carrying out the box’s to the car. Highly recommend if these two are working for staff

Clare helped me buy a fishing rod and another worker helped us find it for the budget when we couldn't and helped us with the membership card when we couldn't get it

The staff in-store are very pleasant & helpful. There is a great selection of products in-store & a great range of prices.
Our local store is well lit with plenty of space to move around.

I had a great experience when I visited Go Outdoors on Friday 18th September 2026 in Newtownabbey. Becky was very helpful in directing me to various items that I wanted to buy, and she then asked her colleague, Luke B to assist me in buying hiking boots which was the main purpose of my visit. Luke B was extremely knowledgeable about the boots on offer and patiently answered my questions and helped me buy an excellent pair of boots. I would recommend buying anything you require for enjoying the great outdoors at Go Outdoors.

1st time shopping at this store and would highly recommend, I was served by girl named Carly 😁 who was so helpful very friendly and professional she is a credit to the store, Great experience shopping at GO OUTDOORS

Very comfortable shoes, I was delighted to get a pair that I could eventually wear without causing discomfort.

I was in the store looking to purchase some gear for a wild camp, with my young daughter and her friend which included a sleeping bag and rugsack as well as gas stove and cylinder.. and was overwhelmed the choice and options. Having explained what I needed as well as its purpose Ellie guided me to Sarah-Louise and Roaa who were EXTREMELY patient and took the time to explore all of my options considering my budget as well as how practical and long lasting the equipment I would purchase would be. They took the time to adjust the straps on my rugsack and demonstrate how to work the stove with plenty of reassurance and a calm tone given i was visably anxious and nervous discussing some worries i had. They humoured me and no question was too silly for them to answer. With things they did not know, they quickly called upokn a member of staff and wete extremly professional and respectful... in fact I left the shop even more excited for my adventure on Thursday 30th July close to their closing time.

What is the point of having a store in Belfast who advise to order item online only to order the item & once address is added it does NOT POST TO BELFAST OR CLICK & COLLECT IN STORE...BUT I CAN GO TO AYR IN SCOTLAND FOR IT...customer service 30mins wait & then around in circles as no one knows why item can't be posted....asked to speak with management & still waiting 3weeks on...yet a truck can arrive with deliveries of large products but not a shoe box...🤬

Had a few problems with the on line web site. Total disaster.
However when I went to my local store ,I was looking for 2 garden chairs.
Only 2 left were on display, the staff were amazing they were so helpful and cheerful.
They were like a breath of fresh air,from the manager and floor staff, not forgetting the 2 young girls on the till
Their customer service was outstanding, how lucky for go outdoors to have great staff
