A Very Professional Company!
Our client dropped off boxes of his, and Navis stacked them on pallets and shrink-wrapped them. Pictures of the pallets indicate good work. My interactions with Navis has been enjoyable. The guys there are responsive and responsible. I was really impressed.
Paid $3100 for their mistake
Used Navis pick up and packing service for an auction shipping. Their service is pricy, but packing quality and shipping speed is okay. Communication is responsive during quoting. What made me frustrated was Bruce changed shipping carrier from quoted FedEx to UPS without my approval, which caused an international custom clearance complication in Australia and resulted additional tax payment over $3100. Bruce is just "sorry, i didn't know that" but customer has to pay for their mistake. Not a pleasant experience.
Unprofessional Company
Called this company to possibly have them become a provider for our business. The secretary was nothing but rude, but when asked to speak to a supervisor the individual got on the phone to say to take them "off my list" and hung up. I guess they DO NOT want new business, very unprofessional!
Billed at over double the quoted amount with no warning or explanation.
I used Navis Pack and Ship of Florida to ship equipment and the experience was unacceptable. The initial estimate appeared normal, but I was later billed at over double the quoted amount with no warning or explanation. I understand that some extra costs can occur, but doubling the price without notice feels arbitrary and spurious. They also attempted to add daily fees as if my business was an inconvenience to them. The entire process left me feeling manipulated and taken to the cleaners. Doing business already carries risk, but with Navis Pack and Ship it becomes pure volatility. If additional charges are expected, the least a company can do is warn the customer and confirm approval before moving forward. Instead, they completed the service and blindsided me with a bill more than one hundred percent higher than the estimate, creating unnecessary financial strain. I cannot recommend this company to anyone.
STAY AWAY!!DESTROYED FINE ART SCULPTURE AND NEVER PAID FOR IT!
This company holds itself out as a fine art packer and shipper. I hired them to pack some valuable fine art. One of their guys tried to pick up a ceramic sculpture by himself and promptly dropped it on the floor, breaking it into a million pieces, not allowing restoration. It was worth $34,000! Keith said it was his fault and he'd take care of it with his insurance, but he never has. I'D STAY FAR AWAY FROM NAVIS OR KEITH.

They grossly overcharge for their service and shipping. I was charged a $43 handling fee plus an extra $98 in shipping for a ~20x20x5” ~12lb item.
This far more than the item I payed for. I ship for my job and I sent a $20 label that I had created in less than 5 minutes off private ship.
From previous orders, their shipments arrived a few weeks after paying for shipping, so the cost isn’t from expediting.
After that I was sent into a long string of about 20-30 emails between Scott and Austin, yet to resolve.
Scott personally does not like to answer questions: stating “I will talk to my manager” followed by never returning the call
Perfect packaging and delivery of two…
Perfect packaging and delivery of two large paintings to Germany, thank you very much.
Navis Pack and Ship in MD
Most important is Navis Pack and Ship MD web site DOES NOT PROVIDE FOR CUSTOMER FEEDBACK. Navis "cherrypicks" only those that are favorable. That harms potential customers that seek a full scan of feedbacks of various levels from Poor to Great. It speaks importantly to its lack of integrity. If they are not honest with disclosing feedback, they aren't honest.
Navis website: “… will provide you with personalized service and attention including updates and tracking information about your shipment…
Navis failed to initially inform me: “Our trucks handle pickups and deliveries within Navis website disclosure: We will create the right custom packing and shipping solution for Delaware, Maryland and Virginia… we use third-party carriers for out-of-state deliveries.” My delivery was in CA. Navis does not track third-party shipments by their website commitment. Rather, Navis provided a “tracking site” for the third-party carrier.
Per the third-party carrier status, the shipment left Navis on September 16, 2025, and on the following day, September 17, 2025, it arrived in CA at 2:07 a.m.
September 18, 2025: Hayward, [CA – in storage]
September 19, 2025: Hayward “
September 20, 2025: Hayward “
September 21, 2025: Hayward “
September 22, 2025: Hayward “
September 23, 2025: Hayward “
September 24, 2025: Shipment delivered.
Navis failed in a substantial manner to produce what it committed: “We’ll create the right custom packing and shipping solution for your items; and just so you have peace of mind, we will provide you with personalized service and attention including updates and tracking information about your shipment.”

Do not use Navis Pack and Ship
Do not use Navis Pack and Ship at 1630 W. Evans in Englewood, Colorado. Our cherished family heirlooms were never documented, then they forgot about them, then the shipping got delayed, then all our stuff was lost and we had to coordinate another shipping company to fix their mistake and finally, the contents were damaged upon delivery. We had a terrible experience, not with the company, but with the owner Keith Navis. He is unprofessional, inept, unresponsive, incompetent and has no integrity. He lacks the most basic customer service skills and often makes mistakes and then lies to try to cover them up. Do not hire this company as it will be a constant battle throughout the entire process to get the simplest results with Keith.
BEWARE OF NAVIS
I utilized Navis to ship artwork from my mother’s estate in Ohio to Florida. I chose them based on their reviews fir this type of service. Unfortunately, my experience was horrendous and should be a warning to anyone looking at them for art shipping.
I was shipping original artwork and did purchase the insurance, they drew up the contract and the pick up went as planned but there was a piece (the most expensive) missing when they delivered to Florida. I contacted them and they did not pay me the value of the piece, in fact they paid me nothing. I sued them but to no avail.
BEWARE OF THIS FIRM – their contract isn’t worth the paper it is written on and now I no longer have a valuable piece of artwork I will never see again.
Five stars plus!
Very impressed with the service the Seattle area branch. Service was prompt, professional and very timely. We couldn’t be happier!
Avoid if your auction house used them as preferred shipping company
For some reason I don't understand, Sotheby's use them as their preferred shipping company. They are unresponsive, their representatives do not pick up the phone neither do they answer your emails. Their pricing is not competitive and worst of all, their lead times are outrageous (6-8 weeks fron CAN to the US!!!). If you are buying items at an online Sotheby's auction, make arrangements BEFORE you purchase anything, otherwise you'll have no choice but using Navis P&S.
A family heirloom was safely shipped to Scotland in excellent time!
I contacted Navis Pack & Ship about shipping an antique cedar chest to my daughter in Scotland. I spoke with Zahid Riar and he arranged everything and communicated with me each step of the way. Once it had arrived in the UK, DHL contacted my daughter to arrange a delivery time. It arrived today, packed securely, and it was in perfect condition when she removed all the packing material. I will definitely use Navis for future shipments to Scotland, and highly recommend it to anyone searching for a reliable international shipping company!
Navis will find a way to increase your bill.
A couple of things went wrong with my experience here. Firstly, it seems very convenient that when they send you the initial quote for the job, they refuse to include the details of the conversation. This is so that they can later claim that the load was more than anticipated and then they bill you more. But this will only happen AFTER they have your credit card details on file. (My advice - never ever give them your credit card! Or at least, let them assess the load and confirm the final quote on the spot). If you complain, it becomes a case of your word against theirs! And no, don't expect Steven Maggied to show any empathy or accept responsibility for this error (or scam) by their representative. He will listen to your cries with the coldest, passive indifference, knowing well that you are stuck with them! Fool me once, Steven!
Secondly, my dresser and bed frames were broken/damaged on delivery. Only God knows if my things were tossed
shipping of wood stove
I shipped a Vermont casting wood burning stove to a relative In Virginia, it weighed 425 pounds, and from the moment I spoked to Bob at the Raleigh office, everything was very organized, professional, and right on target. The price was reasonable for what was involved in the 274 mile trip.He kept me informed, and Eli and Roy, the pick-up guys arrived with the proper equipment, called ahead of arrival, and did a good job with the transport to the warehouse. Within a short time frame , it was shipped to Virginia, and arrived on good shape.Best part, it was packed properly, and the delivery guy had the proper equipment to unload it.Navis did a good job in keeping me informed etc. I am very pleased as is my relative with the whole process. I would consider using them again if I need anything else moved. Thanks again to Bob and Stephanie, Eli, and Roy for a job well-done, Sincerely, Mari-Anne Caron
The worst experience with restaurant
The worst experience with restaurant. We wore waiting pizza for an two hour. We will never come back. DON'T GO!!
Unreliable, unprofessional, poor results and not as promised.
When I first spoke with Andy, regarding shipping some sculptures and family items from my recently deceased father to New Jersey and to Portugal, he convinced me that I should ship with Navis rather than their online competitor, because of their expertise and experience, and because they were a known local company. They claimed to have great experience in shipping works of art. Little good that did us. We trusted them with precious family items, some of which belonged to my great-grandfather and had survived intact for approximately 200 years and across two continents until they were entrusted to Navis, and arrived broken or damaged.
In addition to insufficiently packing these objects, Navis was highly unprofessional from the moment I agreed to their exorbitant prices.
When their men arrived to pack, I was surprised that they showed up with plastic tubs, and explained that they would pack for shipment in their warehouse. I accepted this, but questioned it and several other things:
1. The lack of a detailed list of what was being shipped. Thw men who arrived at my house to "pack" our things never suggested that there would be no list. After Navis already had our possessions, Wendy Ahrens argued with me about the desire for a list of what was being sent, which not only was not produced, but I was informed it would cost $175/hour to itemize.
2. The lack of opportunity to insure the shipment even on the ludicrous "per pound" basis on the contract I signed. I objected because I had told Andy Ahrens I wanted to insure the shipment, but the Navis men who took my things told me this was an oversight because "Wendy is the detail person.” The "detail person" subsequently informed me that it was per-pound or nothing, treated me as demanding for expecting a list of what was being shipped, and objected to my attempting to alter the contract to indicate insurance, even though it was what I agreed to with Andy, and what Navis's men on site assured me could be added later. I could have shipped this stuff myself with Fedex or DHL and declared a value for insurance.
3. An assurance by your workers that, for example, jewelry items would be “wrapped individually” in plastic so they could be identified, and that everything would be properly prepared for shipment. This certainly did not happen. Manifestly, things were not properly prepared for shipment.
The dollar value of these items aside (a separate question which I am not addressing here), we entrusted Navis with valuable and sentimental possessions of my father who had just died. Navis did not take the care with them a reasonable person would expect from a shipping company. They provided less than that. And yet Navis claimed we should trust them with these objects because of their experience and professionalism. What a mistake.
Navis's web site makes a variety of claims about their experience with valuable antiques and fragile items. "Andy & Wendy Ahrens are fully certified under Navis' stringent training and operating requirements for packing, shipping, pickup and delivery of fragile, large, awkward and valuable goods." They claim to "provide specialty packing services that typically aren't available from traditional shipping companies." I certainly hope these other companies do a better job than Navis did for us.
In addition, they shipped to Portugal using Fedex, after saying they would use DHL. Had I known they were considering Fedex, I would never have used them, as Fedex has only an unreliable subsidiary in Portugal. Once again, a misrepresentation from the start of what would be provided.
Andy and Wendy Ahrens and their Navis franchise have demonstrated a general lack of transparency in the entire process, and a failure to provide the services promised. Even if everything had arrived safely and undamaged, which it did not, I do not think Navis treated me or my family as I would have expected, nor as they led me to believe would be the case.
Shipping two valuable pieces of antique…
Shipping two valuable pieces of antique pottery from Chicago to the UK. Started off really well with great communication and ended with quite a few problems and very poor communication - still waiting after three weeks to get a wrongly delivered parcel collected. Had anticipated writing a letter of commendation but now condemnation!
Do not use to ship computers
I used this service to send a fairly high end PC and monitor to my best friend. I paid for the service as well as $4,000 in insurance. Not only did the computer arrive completely destroyed, but the packaging shows they have no experience in this area as well. We're talking about basic things such as removing the GPU.
I paid for this service on 1/6/2021. We're almost into April and not only have I not been able to get the PC replaced, but they are still trying to only cover $2000 of the damage. Maybe their other services are good, but for computer shipping do not use them. This has been a huge time sink and I've lost a really nice PC in the process.
Navis Pack and Ship was terrific
Navis Pack and Ship was extremely professional packing and shipping antique furniture and China from Philadelphia, PA to Reno,NV. They were extremely helpful and went the extra mile helping us pack delicate china. Would recommend you use them as a first choice.
