I have held my account for almost 10 years. First I was told that I could no longer add to my holding. Then I was informed that I needed to close my account. I was "very" disappointed with the length of the whole process. It took numerous e-mail and it was a long arduous task.

I opened my account with Gold Money over 10 years ago. I recently needed to withdraw my holdings, but this process was a little bit difficult for me as I hadn’t really used my account for many years and I’m currently in a different country than my home country. I had great communication with the Gold Money representative who was very helpful and made the process easy.

Overall, this company has been a little disappointing. They make it very difficult to cash out and get the physical metals. I've tried it at least 3 times and still haven't been successful. They also request proof periodically that you are who you are when you haven't even logged into their site.

I am an old man trying to pass on my holding to my grandchildren, which involves their setting up holdings and us merging our holdings. Goldmoney are setting up one hoop after another for me and my grandchildren to jump through, amounting to harrassment, and we have given up trying to merge our holdings.
Some years ago my attempt to pass on my holdings to my son also failed because of some problem internal to Goldmoney.
I will now start selling my metals, which is a pity, owing to the lack of cooperation by GM.

Ankush Bal was very polite and responsive to my emails and quickly worked to troubleshoot the issue with the Goldmoney communication portal which was not sending my messages through.

I've been a customer for over 15 years. I have not done a lot of trading until this last year. In spite of what some have said in reviews, I have had no problem wiring money out of the account. Just recently I wired out a test amount of $50 just to make sure it worked and it was seamless. Storage fees have been reasonable. People do not seem to understand that all exchanges that have allocated metal (has your name attached) charge storage fees. Also, there is always a spread between bid and ask prices for all metals whether you go to a dealer, buy online, etc. You always receive the lower price when selling and the higher price when buying. Same with all free markets including stocks. This is normal and I hate to see people talk about it like it is some kind of scam. Maybe they do not have experience trading. KYC laws are difficult for us clients to follow but that is not the fault of the business but rather the law.
Speaking of laws, if I understand the client agreement correctly (you can read it), it says that if Goldmoney goes bankrupt, you are entitled to your metals and cash less any debt you owe them. That is very favorable for the client.
One thing Goldmoney could do to improve the transaction experience is to allow the customer to lock in the price when trading during normal business hours when markets are open, though this may be a limitation of their location. Also would like to see them execute transactions in 24 business hours rather than the current 48 hours. Thank you.

Update 4/29/25: Silver buy order placed 4/23/25, not scheduled to be filled until 4/30/25 due to inventory shortage. I understand that can happen but how about an email to inform the customer? How about rapid response to the customer's email query (had to wait almost 24 hours). I still like the company but they can do much better than this.
