I invested 1000 euro into Goldmoney, it has been sitting there for many year. I had not controlled the progress in a long time. Then when I asked to liquidate my balance and transfer this balance to my personal Bank I was told that my account had been terminated. How can an honest company do that. It sounds like they are just taking your money. I saw that my holdings in Gold was much less than what I had invested, so I requested to take out my balance. They tell me my account is terminated. Stay away from businesses like this. I sent them a very nice email asking what has happened. They said they would look in to it. My last message was that my account was closed or terminated.

They increased the cost of storage of just 2 Oz of gold to a staggering £8 per month. I have now racked up a bill for hundreds of pounds. The initial charge was about £1 per month. They didn't care about the fact that it was only 2 ounces of gold. They said it was a flat fee. I will never use this service again and would not recommend. When you buy gold you typically store it for the long term at a cost effective rate. They also take 0.5% for selling which is not too bad, but the £8 per month for a very small amount of gold is basically a rip off.

I am also a victim of this company's insanely high account fees and extortionist charges when you sell your gold position. There was a TEN PERCENT(10%) difference between the value they showed in my account and the actual proceeds that I received from the sale of my total position, which represented the equivalent of $10,000 CAD in my case and I wasn't even shown the much lower amount at the time I confirmed my sale & wire transfer. I'm now reporting them to various financial governing and regulatory agencies to have them investigated and would also like to join forces with other clients that have been gauged & ripped off by this shady company that exploits its clients to possibly mount a class action law suit against them for fraudulent business practices, especially since they've been receiving complaints about their fees from many clients and done nothing about it.

The main issue is the lack of transparency. A reputable company should be upfront about all fees associated with their services. There is a posted fee of 0.5% per transaction that should cover the operational and logistical costs incurred by Goldmoney for those transactions. If for whatever reason they are insufficient, then those rates should consequently be adjusted and Goldmoney should inform their customers well in advance of the new rates and when they will take effect so they can make an informed decision whether or not they want to keep their assets with them. As it stands now, hidden fees are part of the transaction and results in a huge discounted price when redeeming your assets compared to the real market value and there is no other option than to sell to Goldmoney at its own determined price.

I wonder how Goldmoney customers who recently had to settle the redemptions of their holdings at a steep loss compared to fair market value feel about Goldmoney venturing into other businesses such as jewelry and real estate. Below is a statement from CEO Roy Sebag made recently on Dec 23, 2023. This statement from Mr. Sebag comes as no surprise. “Because our precious metals businesses have performed so well in recent months, we have been provided with the opportunity...”

Our goal was to capitalise on the generational shift in interest rates, and we felt that it was possible for this second income stream to reach $10 million of long-term inflation indexed earnings power per annum. Because our precious metals businesses have performed so well in recent months, we have been provided with the opportunity not only to reach this goal but to exceed it a whole year earlier than expected. Moreover, we have established ourselves as a reputable counterparty in the institutional property markets and have built relationships with the most prestigious asset managers.”

The above quoted text is from an article published on their website directed at shareholders and potential investors in the company. Since I cannot link the article here is the title:

Goldmoney customers deserve a fair and transparent experience. Focusing on core business practices, like competitive fees and clear pricing structures, would likely benefit both customers and the company's long-term success. Perhaps if these customer-centric improvements were implemented, the company's share price wouldn't be at an all-time low.

I joined back when it was just GoldMoney and not GoldMoney Holding. There were no storage fees at that time. I should have paid more attention, but after not checking my account in a while saw what was a 6 gram+ gold balance become a 0.2 gram gold balance. I turned that into USD before its too late but who knows if I will even be able to get. Avoid and buy physical IMO.

Others have noted that it is difficult to sell your position and transfer your money. The company does not appear to answer honestly why they make it so difficult. I recently sold some metal and instead of a reasonable one time request for necessary verification items I get a series of requests, one at a time, that draws the process out for more than a week. I am up to three separate requests now and still don't have approval to transfer my funds. There isn't a reasonable explanation for why they make it so painfully long to sell your metal and transfer your money out.

i like this company is the best for buy gold and silver and keep in safe store, is cheap, to buy is very easy with the bank and to sell in to my bank account. 100% recomend, any problem that you have the customer service always are good the help you

Honestly Avoid!!
Extortionate storage fees, prices that are WAY out from the market prices, very expensive to transfer out. In my opinion, there are much, MUCH better options out there e.g. Bullionvault.

Achtung. Extremer Spread. Ich habe immer gedacht 0,5% Gebühr je bei Kauf und Verkauf und mit den Einlagergebühren wird Geld verdient. Aber nein, der Spread beim Silber fast 10%. Es ist also völlig sinnlos mit Goldmoney irgendwelche Geschäfte zu machen. Sogar bei physischen Silber in Münzen oder Barren, die man dann auch wirklich hat, ist der Spread nicht höher.

Meines Erachtens können die den Spread ja sowieso anpassen, wie sie wollen. Also Verkaufsgarantie schön und gut, nur zu welchen Konditionen bestimmen immer die.

Slick but tricky and expensive - this lot will rob you with charges and make it VERY difficult to withdraw funds. I'd advise to avoid!!!

Very eager to accept your deposit but, any withdrawals are met with the most stringent requirement to fulfill any possible AML requirements. Closing my account was the only solution and even then the hoops were challenging to get the remaining balance back. Still waiting!

I've been a customer of Goldmoney now for nearly a decade. There simply isn't any competition for the gold storage fees. They're also publicly traded and have a positive reputation. As we've seen recently, you can't trust just anyone without your money. Goldmoney is truly one of the companies you can.

Not only do they charge insanely high fees (I invested an amount with them as a test and they took 43% PER YEAR in fees) they also make it impossible to withdraw the remaining amount due to fees on transfer.
The change in their fee policy was not communicated or accepted and their customer service is incredibly unhelpful, even their replies on here are a joke it's the same copy paste response.

Invest your money elsewhere, these thieves will just take it.

Goldmoney is not a crypto currency platform. It's not a trading platform for high frequency traders. It is a financial institution that can be trusted for long-term wealth preservation. We have been using the service for over a decade and have done very well. I withdrew funds twice with no issues at all. Once to payoff the mortgage on my daughter's house which was a significant amount and was credited to our UK bank account within 48 hours of selling the metal.

A few months ago I wired money to my new account at Goldmoney.com. I discovered that they were taking a $10 fee from my balance each month despite the fact that I had never purchased any metals from them. When I tried to withdraw my funds, I was told that I could not! I could only recover profits from any investments I'd made. I can't get my money back!

GoldMoney – you are great! If I, in the future, need some buy/sell gold service I will surely return to do the business with Goldmoney. I have sold metal several times when in need for cash. Has worked fine every time. I have used this service since 2012 and been happy about. I have used GoldMoney to buy/sell gold for a few years and overall, my experience has been great. You don't just buy gold with a credit card or cash here, but I belive that you buy also financial stability. I strongly recommend Goldmoney company for anybody who want to start investing in precious metals, as well as saving for future and their goals.

16 march I sent a large transfer to credit my account at goldmoney. 2 weeks later my funds have still not been credited to my account. I have been informed by goldmoney agent that they are working on figure it out what has gone wrong with IFX bank and it should take 5-7 business days.
I contacted my bank and they confirmed that the money has arrived at IFX bank without a problem.
Goldmoney responded yesterday to my several previous email saying they are working on it, no ETA.
Be careful sending them money!!!!

Update: Goldmoney still insists it was a problem with IFX payments but is reluctant to provide any proof of communication between them and IFX regarding transfer. FCA is investigating.
Goldmoney has credited the amount to my account but now I can't withdraw it. What a joke!!!!
