I had a very positive experience with Gisma University of Applied Sciences, especially thanks to my programme advisor, Abigail Kusi. She was very supportive, responsive, and always available to guide me through each step of the application process. She explained everything clearly and made the whole process much easier and less stressful. I really appreciate her professionalism and kindness. I would definitely recommend Gisma to other students.

Gisma university of Applied Sciences truly is a place filled with diversity. This is one of the most important things I found myself looking for before starting my university studies. Everyone is open to our differences and the support given by peers is no exception!

Gisma has been a really good experience overall. The faculty is supportive, and the curriculum is quite practical and aligned with industry needs. There are also good opportunities to meet people from different backgrounds, which makes learning more interesting.

With the constant up to date information received as and when I ask for. So far it has been good.

Amazing experience. The professors are very helpful. I enjoy the campus experience as well. Receive required support from them.

I received a lot of support during my admission and during my visa process. The campus in Potsdam is also very nice and the professors focus a lot on the students.

Do not go there.I am unfortunately student in Gisma University Applied sciences. aı digital business data science. Now I prepare thesis.For first retake I was directed wrongly as research questions were found ineligible. There were 3 research questions and lecturer have a comment after document upload that first question is not eligible. Thesis subject is malware detection in industrial control systems Via ml(machine learning).When I tried to change lecturer and thesis subject what was told me that change subject a little bit like digital twins. But I don't want that small change. Because this is not a small change as literature review should be done again and also coding. I mentioned that I don't feel safe digitally and physically Via this lecture subject and don't want to go on study Via the same lecturer(C.D.) Because he approved these questions Via mail but then he gave low points. I stayed in Edge Hub Brandenburg that is proposed by this university When I came to Germany. While I was studying for this thesis subject some guys attacked to the room that I stayed. Punched, kicked door and threw egg.This occurred just because I told them to be quiet in 4 or 5 a.m in the morning. They wanted me to call police, instead I informed facility manager Via mail. Because I don't know how dangrous these guys and other people. This place is so messy anyone could enter here. Some people don't obey the rules and internet connection is not safe. As some documents were changed in local computer. Even login credentials used in computer. There are scars in my feet since I stayed there. Because of this messy things and bad behaviors of university management Via some lecturers I struggle to complete thesis. Lecturer doesn't help me truely to prepare this 50 page document. He just blames me as I don't know sufficient things in artificial intelligence. These people do anything to earn money. And an Indian student was dead while I study here. So creepy things. Student affairs don't know anything and direct students in a wrong way. They declare in their website that student find jobs in short time. Totally a big lie. Never ever enroll to this university. They behave very good while enrolling to this university but they don't support you correctly.All they care is money in any way!

I contacted with this school last year on January and they promised to support for visa process and they did not inform step by step. Then they said I could track lectures online(If It is like this, why we try to have campus education.. anyway) I contacted with them for refund and they said to me I need to make around €2500 more then I can apply and council will review. Then I made it and I requested, they said they rejected. I requested official document but only one worker from student support team who never listen the problem said to me just “rejected”. I do not advise this place for international students. I contacted with many people like in my condition. I just request back my all payments.
Please stay away from this school for your mental health.

Lack of student support.

I am an international student from Nigeria, and I was admitted to GISMA University of Applied Sciences for the M.Eng. in Computer Science program starting April 2025. I paid a deposit of $3,200 with the full intention of attending the program. Unfortunately, due to visa delays and financial hardship, I was unable to proceed and began requesting a refund even before the April intake started.

Despite the fact that I never attended a single class, never accessed any university resources, and withdrew from the program, GISMA continues to demand full semester payments. They have refused to refund my deposit or issue an official withdrawal letter unless I pay thousands of euros more — for services I never used.

What’s worse is the repeated threats of debt collection and the refusal to acknowledge their own refund policy, which clearly states that withdrawal is allowed with only a €150 admin fee. I have sent many respectful emails, escalated to their finance team, and even received confirmation that I was owed a refund — only for it to be ignored or reversed later.

GISMA's treatment of students, especially from non-EU countries, has been disheartening. I hope other students, especially those coming from abroad, proceed with caution before trusting this institution with their time, money, and future.

Please STAY AWAY!

Terrible experience. Me and my wife made plans to study a master's program there. We each paid 3000 EUR deposit to secure I places and then I had medical problems and we decided to cancel our program.

It's been 4 months now since I have been literally begging for the deposit back. Every time they ask us to submit a new application and every time we do so they send us an automated email saying we need to submit another application. It's basically pure SCAM!

I would advise everyone to stay away from this financial institution. The level of communication, transparensy, integrity is basically non-existent.

My next step is to hire a lawyer next week to get my money back. Obviously they are not going to send it to me. I will sue them and make them pay more for damages they inflicted!

STAY AWAY PLEASE.

I have no real impression of GISMA because they did not answer my requests by email, one of them a simple yes/no question.
I just got a standard mail, that I could give them my phone number so they could call. Plus they send me a couple of advertisements as well.
Very unserious service in my book.
