I’m a small retail business that setup GEM as a financial provider. Poor communication and no help setting up the starting process and haven’t paid out after a month of waiting for payment. I’d avoid dealing with latitude GEM finance. Zero stars if it was possibl!

I don’t like paying interest on my purchases so I call to make allocated payments before time is up. It seems they are seriously messing with me on purpose to start getting me to pay extra in interest. Call after call and my payments are not being allocated to correct bill, all my payments are being spread across to bills that still have months left but ones coming to the end of interest free periods I’ve wanted paid - nothing! Scamming me, telling me my bill will be paid next statement when app and text communication is clearly showing me my payments have been processed but allocated else where. I call to try to explain that there is a problem but insist I just wait to see next statement. So by next statement they can charge me interest and tell me it’s my fault for not allocating payments sooner. Like, yuck! So put off. What a muppet show.

Spent nearly a month now chasing a payment that was accidentally made to gem to have it refunded, after filling out multiple forms and waiting weeks I was finally told that they had found the payment and to fill out yet another form, only then to discover my account has magically disappeared and they can no longer find any of my details and refuse to assist me without the details in their system. Absolute joke.

Absolutely horrible customer service!
I have made separate payments each fortnight to allocate payments directly and pay off smaller expenses while also paying off interest free ones. My payments are never allocated as requested, payments are sprinkled over other expenses all Willy-nilly in their best interest so we have to pay more billed charges!
Horrible mannerism from the customer service reps and repeatedly declined statements to see how much left is owing and to check allocations have been fulfilled.
Spoke to the supervisor and was not put through to any one in a higher position as I requested.

DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!

Worst customer service ever....I'm not recommending them to anyone. They dont even deserve a 1. If you have an enquiry, they will either put you on hold for such a long time or automatically disconnect the calls. I'm soo pissed off by the company. Do not waste your time and energy going through this company!!!

These scumbags. aren’t even worth a one star review . They stole our data sold it for a bowl of rice in the back streets of deli

Very poor customer service. It's a real headache to follow up. Inappropriate credit limit calculation. No empathy towards customers. They just don't understand the business.

I made use of the interest free periods. I made one purchase with a shorter interest free time. About a year later I purchased an appliance from Harvey Norman and it had a longer settlement . I thought I would pay extra so as to be free from interest. All my extra payments were put onto the purchase that was due much later. I jumped hoops to get through to them, finally speaking to a “manager”. No changes. I am now paying interest on the one that’s run out off interest free time and my purchase due in around 3 years is almost paid off. They then stopped sending me my allocations on my statement. Sneaky. Should be illegal. Will pay in full shortly and cancel the card.

This company is fraud scam believe me do not get trap by them.
I am paying money from 6years I just borrowed for by fridge and sofa combo. After paying 6 year still by balance is same.I still need to pay same amount.I do not know the money I am paying from 6 years where it's gone.why people not taking legal action against them and shut that company to safe other people's.

I don't blame the company for the cyber attack but I am appalled by their way of communication (none whatsoever) and responsibility to their customers. Thanks to Gem my credit now looks bad. There is literally nobody to talk to about my current loan balance as the app shows no changes or payment updates. Very bad for business

I am about a week away from seeking legal advice. Over two months and no allocation for a payment my insurance company when my car was written off. I have spent HOURS on hold to get hung up on, told we can’t help you call your insurance company, we haven’t had any payment or communication from them, request a statement and see if the payments on there, literally “we don’t know”. I have even called my insurance company to have them make direct contact on my behalf to solve this, they said we can’t speak to you, my insurance case manager called me afterwards to inform me and said she strongly urged them to make contact with me to sort this out and explained the stress of the situation. STILL NOTHING. Placed a formal complaint only to get sent another statement with nothing on it?! On top of all of this, all my identity documents were stolen and I have zero idea how to replace it?! Utterly useless and so disappointed in this place.

You lot lost my personal information with a cyber attack on your sight, you told us to go renew our drivers licence for safety, and also said you would reimburse the fee, well it's been weeks now and no payment, everytime you ring the staff you have are as helpful as a brick, they know nothing and won't be able to help.
You lot are liars and frauds as you won't pay out, shame on you

This company has "lost" thousands of customers personal details and now won't answer their calls. Do not apply with these people they will cost you money and offer nothing in return

Every month i am charge 3x billed finance charges on the same balance, plus an account service fee plus a payment handling fee. on a ballance of $4800 comes to $112 per month in interest. 3 separate fees for ! ballance , and after speaking to someone in India I'm told I have 3 accounts which only one shows up on their site in Australia . Do not deal with these people under any circumstances!! I'm paying out and getting out!

I don’t need the cards anymore so I closed them all, but thank you for letting me use your cards for more than a decade.

Worst experience I had from Gem. Unfriendly and unpatience staff member when they want to sell a product and now I've been trying for 3 weeks to get hold of them with no success, just to get a settlement amount. I would not recommend Gem to anyone.

You'll buy something from Harvey Norman, nek minnit, you're the owner of another credit card.

It was around 9:45 am today, I called to Gem customer service centre. My request was handled by a girl on another side. She was so knowledgeable and helpful. She listened me and then she explained me everything regarding my problem and she tried her best to sort it out. She has broad horizon of thinking power and understanding. I am very much happy and satisfied with her customer service. I would like to rate her 11 out of 10, if its possible. It was more than excellent service. Thnak you very much rep.
