Here’s the context for my positive feedback: I hired 200 Chiavari chairs from another hire company for my son and future daughter-in-law’s wedding on Sunday, 18th August. About six weeks before the wedding, the company informed me they couldn’t deliver the chairs on the weekend, a day before the wedding. The wedding venue couldn’t accommodate a weekday delivery, creating a significant logistical issue and causing much distress, as 200 guests were expected.

In desperation, I contacted Furniture UK and spoke with Becky. I explained my dilemma and requirements for hiring lime-wash Chiavari chairs with matching seat pads. Becky checked her system and confirmed that I could hire the chairs and have them delivered at the specified time, even providing time slots! Her knowledge and understanding of my difficult situation reassured me that the booking and delivery would be on time. Becky also promised to call me two days before the wedding to confirm the hiring of the chairs and to reassure me that everything was in order.

As a retired Operational Manager in local government, I am acutely aware that what is promised is not always what is delivered. However, I am pleased to say that Furniture Hire UK delivered the chairs to the venue well within the time slot. The chairs and seating pads were clean and of quality. The day after the wedding, Furniture UK collected the chairs promptly, as the venue was booked for another function.

My experience with the quality standards and professionalism of Furniture UK is five-star. I especially want to commend Ms. Becky Withey, who was incredibly knowledgeable with excellent customer practice and was most helpful in aiding me with hiring the chairs. Her advice on securing the delivery timings and arranging the collection was precise. Family and friends have asked for recommendations for hiring furniture for events, and I have not hesitated to recommend Furniture UK and specifically to contact Ms. Becky W.

I recently ordered furniture from Furniture Hire UK for an important event my company attended, and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. There was an error with the collection date, which I strongly believe was due to a mistake on their end. Despite having agreed on a specific collection time, their staff failed to arrange it correctly, causing significant inconvenience.

What was even more frustrating was the lack of accountability from Furniture Hire UK. When I reached out to resolve the issue, they refused to acknowledge their mistake and took no responsibility for the error. It was clear that they were not interested in addressing the problem or making it right.

I want to warn others that if you encounter any issues with your order, don't expect Furniture Hire UK to be helpful or responsive. Their approach to customer service is severely lacking, and this experience has left me with a very negative impression of the company. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere if you value reliable service and accountability.

The staff were excellent and the quality of the items also was excellent

We needed furniture for delivery asap as ours we had ordered hadn't come. The sales staff were on it, and we had no issues til the order came. We had specifically asked what the state of the tables would be and we were informed they would be all quality checked and cleaned before coming out - either the person who does it has a different perspective of what it or isn't acceptable or it wasn't done. The table tops were scuffed with marks all over them and as they were a rattan style there were parts broken and sticking up. I ordered two parasols and no weights came to hold them down, I called to ask for them the second delivery came out and still not enough weights for the parasols. Raised this as a complaint and the only response i received was a manager passing the book and blaming someone for the downfall of my order. I don't need to know who's issue it is, I was merely flagging the issues so they could be internally rectified, perhaps a training need whatever that looks like. In stead "we haven't had any other complaints" and "not our fault" was all i received therefore the raising of concerns was pointless it seems. Disappointing to say the least.

This company is great when it comes to hiring furniture for various events. The customer service they provide is top notch and they are really quick to respond to any queries. Every is really friendly and you are always guided along the entire process so there is no worry or hassle.

After my original chair suppliers let me down two working days before a big launch event, I phoned Furniture Hire UK and got through to Emma Keating who was so lovely and helpful. She sent over a quote almost immediately and managed to process my request with guaranteed delivery ahead of the event. I couldn't be more grateful for her help.

Fabulous customer service! I enquired about hiring chairs via email and within 5 minutes had a call back from Brooke who talked me through the entire process and couldn’t be more helpful. She wanted to ensure that for the threshold of hire I made the best of there services and catered for all my linen requirements for my wedding as well! Which saved my budget as I was going to have to buy them. Very quick to respond. Had a quote within minutes and saved on carriage costs as they had a special offer to apply. All paid and a receipt issued automatically with a follow up from Brooke to say she would call me the day before! John Lewis customer service could learn from this company! Thank you Furniture Hire!

Hired some garden furniture for our wedding. Really liked the website and how you could see what you’d be paying, including delivery (which allowed me to keep adjusting until it all fitted into one van).

When it arrived, there was only one person in the van. Since the van couldn’t get up our road (my fault for not requesting a smaller van) this resulted in my now-husband and the driver making a lot of trips up and down the road with chairs (light but sturdy) chair covers (comfy) and tables (very, very heavy, 6ft) and a bench or two. Honestly, he would have been well within his rights to have called the whole thing off after that. The path of true love doesn’t run smooth, certainly not with our road and my organisation skills.

Very happy with the quality of the chairs, armchairs and benches. The tables were a little worn, but some tablecloths sorted that out. Fantastic value for money and everything felt comfortable and sturdy, even on grass.

The return journey was a little better with the smaller van able to get most of the way to our house and extra pairs of hands to carry it all. Still only one driver, so make sure you have lots of help. If you have a reason for them to get to you early, let them know. They will call when half an hour away. They seem to work quite long hours; our pickup was after 6pm.

Every time I had contact with this company, they were polite, helpful, and reacted appropriately to snags or suggestions, more so than most. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

One final tip: your deposit invoice is separate to your payment invoice. Quote the right one when you ask for it back just in case they aren’t linked!

I had planned for a 60th birthday party on the weekend and when the company providing the garden marquee had completed the set up, I was left with limited furniture and a lot of space. I called up Furniture Hire UK and was fortunate enough to get through to Christine Pearson. Not only did she listen to me stress about the fact that I needed more furniture and at such short notice but she put me at ease and got to working out a way in which she could help me out.

She sent through an invoice for some items that we had discussed and after discussing with the party host, we decided not to go ahead with the hire. The next day there was a change in the plans and we then required the furniture. Christine was quick to sort out the invoice and to top it off, she sorted same day delivery after speaking with one of the delivery drivers at their Manchester warehouse.

My experience with this company was outstanding and that was purely because of Christine. I would highly recommend using them if you are in need of furniture hire, especially at short notice!

This is the second time I've used this company to hire the fantastic LED poseur tables - always a hit with the party guests!
Delivery and collection puntual.

We hired in desks and office chairs for 2 weeks during a company conference for our staff visiting from global offices staff. Everything arrived on time and was easily delivered and collected. Great customer service, will use again when needed. Thank you!

We hired the 'Silver White Party Package' for a prestigious supercar event held on July 5th. As requested, the furniture was delivered late afternoon on July 4th, but that is where the positive side to this story ends.

The driver unloaded the van and promptly drove off without asking any of us to check what had been delivered. We realised after he had left that we were missing a coffee table, the legs on the cube seats were broken and the white cushion covers on the sofas were absolutely filthy! By filthy, I mean covered in what appeared to be mud and oil. The two white bars were scuffed and grubby, but I was able to clean these to somewhat improve them. The stacking chairs were fine.

I checked my email and saw the delivery driver had forged my signature on the proof of delivery.

I contacted FurnitureHire and quite frankly was given the complete run-around.

I called at 18:12 on the 4th and spoke to a gentleman who said he was going to log the issue and get it rectified immediately.

I called again at 18:17 and spoke to a different gentleman who told me the same thing and assured me I would get a call first thing this morning.

On the 5th I called at 07:22 and 07:31 to again speak to a gentleman who promised the message had been passed on. He told me the main office would open at 08:00. I then called at 08:01 and spoke to a girl for 9 minutes - reiterating everything I had said yesterday. She tried to call the Manchester warehouse but was unable to get through. She did mention that it was probably a third party company that had carried out the delivery, but what had happened was unacceptable and she was apologetic. She said she worked for the bar hire company and was going to try until 9am to get through to someone then would pass this on to our account manager at 9.

I called again at 10:07 as I had not heard back and spoke to another female colleague. I asked to speak to our account manager and was told they weren't available. She again took down all the details and promised they would be passed on to the account manager.

I have then resorted to emails as I had an event to run and couldn't be making endless phone calls!

I finally received an email back at 15:19 on the 5th, full of excuses - a great one was 'we're just super busy at the moment' - that's great, but doesn't sit well with a customer who has heard nothing back for almost 24 hours. I was then told that as I had called out of hours team the messages weren't passed on - now correct me if I'm wrong, but by virtue of having an out of hours team, one would expect the team to be there to resolve issues...also, as a customer, I don’t want to hear excuses – I expect someone to take ownership and offer a resolution.

The furniture was collected on the evening of the 5th. The collection confirmation email was sent to me stating 'Nobody was available to sign during collection' - which is completely untrue as three of my colleagues were there, in our stand, watching the collection and seeing the drivers off.

I have emailed this company detailing the above but have heard nothing back from them. I suspect my email will be ignored.

I would implore anyone to avoid hiring anything from this company. Faults can be rectified but poor customer service is just not on.

We have received a nominal refund of just over £200. Considering we paid almost £2000 for the service, this is almost offensive.

We recently booked Furniture Hire UK for our wedding day in June. The entire team were extremely professional, very friendly and super helpful. From the minute we enquired, right through to the day and after the day itself the whole team at Furniture Hire UK were excellent. I can NOT believe what happened on my wedding. Never had this ever happened to me ever in any of my events. Having paid my invoice in full and been told my chairs would arrive at 3pm. Not only did they not turn up to the wedding noone would pick up the phone after calling relentlessly. No reply no message no chairs. This is the most unreliable company do not use t

I never ever write reviews but I feel like I have to for this company as I do not want anyone to experience what I have had to and also I can see that the company are responding to the reviews so hopefully someone will actually contact me!

I hired 120 chairs and 120 cream pads for the chairs to arrive on 2nd June. They contacted me to say when the delivery would be and it was delivered at the time they said and I was thrilled!

The day after the wedding (5th June) the chairs were due to be collected. I was informed by my venue that only 90 cream pads were delivered on 2nd June. I was not informed of this beforehand as the venue only noticed on the day of the wedding (4th June) and they didn’t want to inform me on the wedding day as they didn’t want to cause any stress. This meant that 30 guests had to be seated on exposed wood and velcro which actually resulted in 3 guests ripping their dresses!

I received an email on 5th June stating the collected would not be taking place that day and would actually be the following day. I responded right away acknowledging the email and also letting the company know about the missing pads. The lady responded but ignored the missing pads issue.

I then emailed back asking for a response on the missing pads and got no response. On 6th June I called the company asking when the collection would be and spoke to someone called Emma. Emma explained they had no one to do the collection that day so it would not be until the next day. I had not been informed of this until now. I also told Emma about the missing pads. Emma was very apologetic and said a follow up email would be sent to me to sort out some sort of compensation. I never got an email.

I went on my honeymoon on 7th June and kept getting emails from my wedding venue stating the chairs were still there and very much in the way, when would they be collected. I was getting very stressed and was unable to enjoy my honeymoon. The collected finally happened on 10th June!!! 5 days late and no contact about it since the call on the 6th June.

I emailed multiple people who i had contacted previously at the company, Vikki, Leah and Emma and no response. Emma finally emailed me back on 14th June stating how sorry she was and that she understands a partial refund has been arranged. I knew nothing about this so responded right away asking about this as I had not heard from anyone or received any refund. I have still not heard back.

As I said I never leave reviews but I had to this time as this was my wedding and honeymoon and meant to be the happiest time and not stressful! This may just be a one off but I don’t want anyone else to experience this. I think the lack of communication has been the biggest issue here and is still ongoing. I personally think that communication can usually solve 99% of customer service issues.

We hired tables and chairs for our Jubilee Street Party and Furniture Hire UK could not have been easier to deal with. They were friendly and helpful from the outset, without any fuss they upgraded our chairs due an issue at their end, they called a few days before the event to confirm arrangements, their drivers called to alert me they were on their way and they were super-helpful with the delivery and collection. The whole team was professional from start to finish.
