Many issues

Many issues. Had service for over 15 years.
My house is bigger and the sensors furthest away would not always communicate with alarm system. many sevice calls were made to fix but it couldn't be fixed.
when an alarm goes off a computer calls you back to see if all is ok. It use to be a person calling you. If i had a criminal with a gun to my head I would want a person on the other side to take the call and not a computer.

Flawed system. The system uses cell phone technology to connect to its central alarm monitoring. ( It also uses the internet via wifi.) Often in my area, their system imbedded cell phone could not connect to a cell tower. Without a cell phone connection should the criminal cut the electric power or the internet the system is inoperable.

In the last year, criminals have started to use WIFI blocking technology. It is all over the news. These wifi blockers render the alarm system inoperable. Sensors can't communicate with the main box the signal is blocked. Criminals can just walk in

When trying to cancel my subscription the company made it impossible. It took me four months to cancel -- multiple calls made and several emails. I politely asked for a portion of these monthly fees credited for this four-month period I tried to terminate service and they refused.

We are sorry to hear about your experience and understand the frustration you are feeling. We have looked in our system and see that you are an Alert360 customer not a Frontpoint customer. To provide some clarification, Alert360 is a separate alarm company that in the past partnered with Frontpoint to provide some of the front end servicing for its accounts. Alert360 did decide to discontinue this relationship and take over providing the full servicing for its accounts almost a year ago. As such, Frontpoint would have no participation in your account's cancellation experience. We recommend reaching out to Alert360 at 888-642-4567 to resolve any issues with your account.

System Upgrades

It was time to replace my smoke and heat units in my house and garage. I had 9 units to replace and your Associate Product Support Specialist, Daniel Galeas, was outstanding. He provided support for the swap out as well as insured the new units were communicating with your system once installed. I couldn't ask for better service.

So far it’s been 4yrs I have been using…

So far it’s been 4yrs I have been using Frontpoint and there has been no complains. Customer Service has been amazing. The tech support is very knowledgeable and help resolve issues remotely.

Trouble company

Trouble company. Alarm went off on 2 separate occasions, and both time the cops came and no signs of a break in. So I had to pay for a false Alarm fee to my city 2 times $75 each..When I called Front point they said the Alarm panel was set off by some one. How and why would some set it off thats just stupid. And i had a indoor camera and you can clearly see the contol panel And no one is home or around it. I guess it must of been the ghost. So The lady on the phone that was helping me was more focus on why my fire Alarm wasn't on its base. She said my contol panel was fine. I canceled my subscription after that phone call..

In June In posted a review of Frontpoint. The issue was that I was charged for an extra month because I was unable to cancel on the first of the month which fell on a Saturday when they were closed. After posting my review, I was contacted by a representative from Frontpoint who apologized and saidn my charges for July would be reversed. THAT IS A BOLDFACED LIE. It never hasppened. Subsequently, I contacted Frontpoint and the representative assured me that my charges for July would be reversed. ANOTHER BOLD FACED LIE UTTERED BY A CONGENITAL LIAR. I would advice against doing business with Frontpoint as they are unrel;aible when it comes to acount issues. There are plenty of other security system suppliers who do not play these types oif games

I acknowledge the refund From Frontpoint. This is what happens when companies employ poorly trained customer service representatives. This should NOT have happened to begin with and then refund shouls have been processed much faster.

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH FRONTPOINT

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH FRONTPOINT! I found out the hard way that they are the WORST company when it comes to cancellation! If you ARE A CURRENT CUSTOMER, please make sure you read the cancellation clause in your contract (which they will be happy to send you multiple times) and cancel more than 30 days in advance as otherwise, they will charge you an additional month as you did not give them proper notice. Also, the cancellation process is lengthy with a ridiculous number of steps and you must complete the process or they consider your account still open. If you are reading this review as you are considering to do business with Frontpoint, please avoid the frustration and choose any other company to provide monitoring for your security system! I have NEVER in my life had such a lengthy process to follow to cancel service with a vendor!

My camera died!

One of my indoor cameras went out overnight last week. So, I called Frontpoint. They were busy and returned my call a few minutes later. An agent named Kenny G helped me.
The problem partially was that I was on 2 different WiFi services. Kenny was awesome, took all the time necessary to diagnose and fix the problem. It turned out that I was was unaware of many of the features that my system had available and as such was not using. I'm 75 years old and not terribly computer savvy, but Kenny took all the time necessary to walk me through many features and benefits of this sophisticated system. 2 hours later we were done. I now am aware and using the security system much more effectively thanks to his care, patience and knowledge base. I couldn't be happier with the service I had received that day. My hat's off to Frontpoint and Kenny. Will continue to be a happy satisfied customer.

I've been with Frontpoint for years

I've been with Frontpoint for years - if you called somebody answers - now there is NOBODY. Look it up. And now we're going to require a code to login - for your protection - SO WHILE I'M DRIVING AND GET AN ALARM I'M SUPPOSED TO ENTER A F.....CODE. Or somebody rings the doorbell and it takes 5 minutes to login to answer - Easier to just get up and answer the door - kind of defeats the purpose of having a doorbell camera.

Nobody helps, my panel box has been flashing blue for weeks, the doorbell camera doesn't see people deliver hugh packages - they just magically appear. So what is the purpose of this system? I want to get rid of this system but have a contract for 2 more years. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY.

I wrote this review 6/21 - they just now responded 7/19.

My fire alarm needed new batteries

My fire alarm needed new batteries. I was correctly told how the change them. I did that and now my alarm works perfectly.

My problem was solved very quickly because the diagnosis was correct.

I could trurn on my alarm last night that that and I now feel safe.

Frontpoint is making is difficult to discontinue service.…

Frontpoint is making is difficult to cancel my services. I have been a customer since 2018 and overpaid by 100% for several years. Finally my monthly has been reduced but the equipment no longer works. I am not interested in purchasing new equipment and they are harassing and telling me I have to keep paying for 5 more months. In all honesty I want a refund for all of the months I overpaid. This company has bad customer service and I need them to stop contacting me unless they are willing to give me a refund.

To Whom It May Concern,

Frontpoint does apologize for the poor experience caused by the representative in January 2024. However, it does emphasize that this was the only subpar interaction that the customer experienced. Additionally, to be clear the customer paid the standard monthly rate for our Ultimate Monitoring level plan of $49.99 and the lower rate was only due to signing the contract that they were fully aware of at the time. At no point was the customer ever overcharged for their monthly rate.

With all this in mind, the past due balance and the contract term are all entirely valid as while the experience on the January call was regrettable it did not negate the contract itself. Nevertheless, as we do strive to provide the best service at all times we did waive the contract term and close the customer's account without payment.
