Poor quality for the price. Customer service was also frustrating—I had to chase my refund after returning the items.

Been ordering from French Connection for a few years now. Quality of clothing is exceptional and unlike other clothing companies their sales are genuine and amazing I’ve have some real bargains! They also look after their loyal customers with also offering additional 20% off sale items. The returns process is always quick and easy. I know they have encountered some issues recently with refunding customers who shop using shopify but this has now been rectified. I can’t fault this company and I love their clothes!

Emailed about lack of refund on 12 March 2026. Consumer Rights Act 2015 says companies must refund within 14 days of receiving the return. Days elapsed: 22.

The refund process for online orders takes far too long. It took 3 weeks from them receiving my order before I was refunded, resulting in charges on my credit card.
Many other companies refund payments as soon as the package is posted.

Items delivered late, when asked why explanation was a new system. Returned one item. 14 days after they received the item I still have no refund, have been chasing frequently, response being, new system in place. Absolutely atrocious customer service.

Sent back my order and it was confirmed received by French Connection on 12th Feb, it is now 26th Feb and I still have not received my refund. Never known any company take so long to process a refund! Customer services said I have to wait 10-14 working days, which is 20 days including weekends! Unacceptable

This company really are the gift that keeps giving.
As they ignored multiple emails and social media messages regarding my missing item, I recharged via my bank. Even though the company is incapable of replying to customers they have quickly disputed this with my bank.
I have CCTV footage of my house to prove the item was not delivered.
I have proof from the Royal Mail to prove that the item was not delivered.
I'm not clear on why keeping customers money without delivering said items is part of their business plan.
My bank has all of the evidence and are keen to continue this. It is a pity that French connection dont put the same effort in when customers reach out directly.

Placed an order for a dress on the 16th of Jan, after over a week of it sitting at ‘order processing’ I began contacting them to find out what was wrong. The phones have no answer, after a few days someone responded via email to say they had ‘technical issues’ but order will be processed and sent that day. I then got the money bounced back into my account, the next day email says ‘order has been cancelled and a refund will be with you shortly’. Yesterday I noticed they have withdrawn the money AGAIN 11 days after I ordered the dress. Absolute shit show.
Ordered the dress on John Lewis yesterday, ready to collect today. But I begrudge giving them (FC) any money, I don’t have time to find a new dress

Ordered a coat for my husband on 23rd December and when it didnt arrive by the second week of January I contacted customer service. I was told some delays in the warehouse but they sent me a link to track my order and I would be notified when it was dispatched. Now a month later on 22 Jan they just cancelled my order. No explanation nothing. Great customer service, well done...I won't be ordering anything ever again

Still waiting for order to be dispatched from the 13th January....Emailed 3 times not answered for days then spent time waiting on phone lines and was told no problems in the warehouse but then received lots of emails saying not despatched as technical issues . 21/01/26 Update to the below: after waiting 3 weeks for my item to be dispatched and several emails just being told they're experiencing "technical difficulties," yesterday I had an email out of the blue saying my order was cancelled with no explanation. I called customer services to ask what was going on and they said my order was cancelled due to "stock discrepancy issues." So the jumper I ordered is no longer in stock, despite still being advertised on their website. I'm not sure how this can be legal if they're taking money for items they don't have. To add insult to injury they're still marketing to me on email and social media, trying to get me to buy items they don't actually have. And to add to the frustration the item was purchased on a gift card which means they would only refund it to a gift card, so now I have to buy something else from them even though I don't want it! Honestly just avoid this company for your own sanity.
10/01/26 I bought a jumper in store only to have to return it the next day as I noticed a hole in the seam. Still keen on the jumper I hoped to exchange it for another but they didn't have my size in stock. I ordered it online on the 28th December and it still hasn't been dispatched 2 weeks later. Contacted customer services who have just said they are having "technical difficulties," with no indication of when my order will be dispatched and no wider communication to keep their customers up to date.

I honestly can’t get over how bad this company is. This is my second review and it’s to try to get them to pay attention. I’ve tried dozens of emails, (there’s no other way to contact them - Chat is never opened, their phone is never picked up). Besides what I mention in my previous review about purchasing the item now there’s a problem with the return. I returned this item Dec 17, that’s almost a month ago. I still have no refund. I’ve written them many times and only get the automated email with no real response. It’s January 10. Do yourself a favor- do not purchase online from this company. Incredibly frustrating.
Update : response to their response below. Bull- this is a lie. There is no one on phone. I call all hours of the day. There is always a busy signal or the phone just rings. There is no one on chat. I’ve tried all hours of the day. I’ve sent dozens of emails since I placed the order in November. It’s JANUARY. When I placed the order my emails were about tracking it since they didn’t send any tracking. No answer. They finally answered and I told them to cancel it since it was taking so long and they didn’t. Now to return it I’ve tried since Dec 17. Even my credit card company has tried to contact them to dispute it- no answer. If I didn’t see actual stores I’d think this company was fake.
Don’t shop from here. If there’s issues you’ll have to deal with them for months. Awful experience

I bought a jumper which was not inexpensive that bobbled on immediate wear. So something that was originally £75 looked old and shabby after one wear. I wanted to leave a review of this product on the French Connection website to let FC know that this is a faulty product and it turns out there is no way for normal customers to do this. This seems in itself to be bad practice for a trusted retailer. I won’t be shopping with French Connection anymore.
