I cannot praise this fantastic little company enough! The order process was easy with a great selection of cheeses on offer together with a wide range of accompaniments and a great site to navigate around! I went on to buy the Ceramic Baker & Tunworth and ended up ordering lots more including the Date Night Cheese Selection... it all arrived safely the next day, packaged very well and none of it to disappoint! The ceramic baker is gorgeous and the baked Tunworth was extremely tasty! We have now sampled all the cheeses, biscuits and chutneys, including the figs and all are extremely delicious. We will definitely be buying from The Fine Cheese Company again, and very soon I am sure! Thank you!

I live in France and it's sometimes difficult ordering things for family birthdays. Despite the internet signal playing up and my order disappearing, the wonderful Katie answered my e mail very quickly and my order was sorted out on the phone in minutes. She was helpful and good humoured. Excellent customer service!

Bought an expensive tin of crackers for a Christmas present online. No mention whatever of nut allergy information. Recipient opened the package to find 'not suitable for nut allergy sufferers' and will not touch them. Money down the drain and Natasha's law being ignored. Marvellous

Ordered as a Christmas present - recipient was pleased to receive, however it was delivered 3 days earlier than the date I had specified and despite paying extra for it to be gift wrapped this didn’t happen which was disappointing.
So far no response from customer services.

The blue cheese that I ordered is perfectly ripe and unwaveringly holds its flavour.

My order was fulfilled on Thursday and promptly arrived on Friday morning. It arrived neatly packaged inside a well-fitting, cooled cardboard box.

I ordered some cheeses, picked the delivery date and some tasty cheeses turned up on time. I didn't have any need to contact customer support so can't comment on how good or bad that is; but I am happy with my cheese.

Having first ordered from this company in 2016 I occasionally still order, but not again, customer service non existent, after an order not delivered and trying to find out why I have had no joy in contacting them very disappointed. Have spent my £39.95 and have no idea if or when the goods will be received. This item was a gift for someone who was ill instead of flowers, as she loves them. Unfortunately she has not received them and as it was 11 days ago well on the way to recovery. I will not be purchasing again from them.
Very surprised thought I was dealing with a Company who I could trust.

Attempted to use the website twice to order a voucher. Would not add to the basket and kept refreshing all the time.
Phoned twice and told I would get a phone call back to make the order. Never phoned.
Wouldn't bother with this company if I were you.

Excellent delivery time, shame about the customer service. My cheese soon had mould on it and the condescending email in response did little to make me change my mind about ordering from them again. Having lived in Italy and eaten all varieties of pecorino, not once have I seen it with mould on. Nor have my Italian friends. It's a pity as I had sung your praises to friends who were hankering for burrata.

Appalling service from this company. I bought a gift voucher for a family member for Christmas. When attempting to use it the code didn’t work online and after numerous calls and emails they finally took the order over the phone. To add insult to injury they neglected to send the order out and only did so a week later after being chased. Do not waste your time with this company.

Special Valentine's Day box ordered. When it arrived the contents of cold bag had spilled onto the cheese and cold meats. The contents of the cold bag were labelled "Not for human consumption". As one side of the cold bag was missing and not in the box it must have been packed like this. I sent them an e-mail explaining the condition of the product but they just wanted me to send them photographs! Most disappointing.

Really pleased with quality of packaging (secure, no plastic!), free delivery options, and great prices compared to buying from local shop.
Only knocking a star off because DPD driver didn't ring or buzz and just left a box (which said it had to be refrigerated) on my mailbox, where anyone could have taken it.

Ordered for 23 December for a surprise gift for our family evening meal, rang up and told coming between 4/5pm never arrived, came the best day too late and told it was not there fault and they would not refund me until they received it back and they couldn’t collect for a week, why I would want the cheese which was the smelly cheese box in my home whilst we went away unbelievable.
I gave it to a neighbor, they kept hanging up the phone and never responded to emails
Will stick with the courtyard dairy in future.

It should go without saying that their cheese is just divine. However, this review is about customer service.

Mistakes happen, that’s life, but my measure of a good company is how they deal when things go wrong. There was a problem with the content of my most recent order, and Murray could not have been more helpful or effective sorting it out. A great experience and all sorted out in short order.

We did initially have an issue, as not all of the cheese had been sent, however customer services were incredibly efficient and the missing items were delivered within 24hrs with no quibbling.

BE VERY CAREFUL - I'VE HAD 3 PAYMENTS TAKEN AND AS YET NOT REFUNDED AS THEY APPARENTELY (YOU DISCOVER AFTER THE EVENT) CAN'T PROCESS ANYTHING BUT PAYPAL DESPITE OFFERING THE OPTION TO PAY BY CARD AND ALLOWING THE PAYMENT TO PROGRESS... OVER AND OVER (FOR ORDERS OUTSIDE UK).. Read on..

As with others reviewing here, I ordered a cheese hamper while in France with my UK registered credit card and delivery to a UK address.

The first time I selected payment it simply said "There has been an error try again later". I did. Same thing.
I then tried using a different card from a different bank account. Same thing happened. That bank account is run through an app so I immediately saw that a payment had been taken.

I got onto Gavin at Customer Services who simply told me...

If so, this will be the issue, our website isn’t currently accepting any orders from outside of mainland UK, unless you pay using PayPal. The money that gets declined basically sits in a holding account in a pending stage, this automatically comes back to you within a certain number of working days."

"As this has been declined from us, we are not sending a refund as we didn’t ever have the funds. This will be in a holding account; the void request has been sent to your bank to void these payments but it can take them up to 10 days to respond to that so you would need to contact your banking platforms so get them to act on the void request at their earliest convenience."

Absolutely appaling and I hope this prevents someone else getting essentially scammed in this way without any proper notification at payment time, and missing out on sending a gift to a family member that we can't visit this year as planned.

So disappointed and annoyed. I will be reporting this company as others should to trading standards.

Further to my previous review I have had contact from customer service and apparently there was an it issue from the 4th and over the weekend where card payments from outside Europe were being declined and I should receive a refund in a few days. I will just have to wait until that happens but am rather anxious about making further purchases. I had ordered before and was very happy. I am in Australia and ordered on the 4th Dec a number of items for my son and family in Barnet. The payment came straight away out of my account but my order was still sitting there not confirmed. I sent email to customer service, no response. I telephoned from Australia 9am your time, no answer after three times trying. I then phoned the Bath store and the young man said he would have someone from Customer Service contact me. I had an email from Gavin who advised that as I had no confirmation the payment would have been declined and would take a few days to return to my bank. I can't understand why they can't match the payment to my order and process it. I had been told that you have had website issues on the 4th but no-one is trying to help me. Very disappointed.

I ordered a gift for a birthday treat for someone. Some of the (very expensive) cheese was past it's best when delivered. I have emailed customer service and phoned, no response to either after 10 days of trying. Very disappointed. I have used on several occasions in the past and been very happy so not sure whether I got lucky then or whether something has gone wrong now.

We bought the brigette wedding cheese cake. Absolutely beautiful and delicious all 4 cheeses perfect size for 18 guests. So good we've ordered it for over Christmas.
