Do not use this dodgy garage!!!

Attention, all the people who suffered from dealing with this garage, please, file a full complaint with the TRADING STANDARDS! These Scammers must be shut down for good and all of us to be compensated. If they receive more complaints, this is very much possible!

They lie to their clients with the intention to pull out as much money as they can until we are not able to pay any longer.

I’ve had a brake fluid leak , brakes didn’t operate as required and had to top up the fluid everyday. Called AA to come and diagnose the problems and take me to the relevant garage for repairs.
AA patrol recorded leaking brake fluid from brake pipes and took me to Fastlane Autocare garage as they were registered with them. I was told you would be getting updates by text messages at all times and have never received any!

They have reported to AA that the brake cylinder needs to be replaced as they haven’t found any leaks. Charged almost £400 and then sent to AA another request to replace the ABS sensor saying this hasn’t fixed the problem. Quoted around £700-800 and as my warranty only covers £500 I was asked to confirm and pay the remaining amount. I immediately refused and reported to this garage and AA that the brake fluid leak from brake pipes had been initially diagnosed and accused of fraud.

I have collected my vehicle and took it to another garage which within 1 hour with me being there found the leak from the brake pipe and I have replaced those pipes for only £200 which fully resolved and fixed the fault!
They returned my vehicle with the driver’s mat dirty with foot marks as they don’t use any protective coverings and refused to clean it.
A very very dodgy fraudulent garage!!
I’m now starting an ombudsman claim with relation to this matter!!!

If there was a minus option other than a 1 star we would have chosen that one. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't waste your money with this company. They have charged us pounds short of £600 for a diagnostic check ( we have the invoice). They have then quoted thousands for a new gear box. Is this because we have a personalised registration registration number? They then quoted us figures of thousands more for a new gearbox? . Fortunately we have now sought help from a reputable company. Please please seek other quotes...This is our opinion....but we have the invoice etc....

Charges us a fortune to just find out a problem we already knew! No communication whatsoever! Run by clowns and cowboys!! DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE!!!!

Right, i sent my moped here and i had to pay £750 up front to fix a fuel injector which for one is a rip off. then they never call you back or contact you in any way shape or form. the amount of times i rang up chasing the bike they always said a week until it was done and something else was wrong with it.

this then went on for a year and we just went and picked the bike up and got no refund at all.

absolutely horrendous company!

This garage is full of scammers, car went in Feb 2023 to have work done, asked for money upfront. We,ve had 12 months of lies and excuses, £3200 and still not got car back

Avoid this company at all cost, we took our car here in March 23 with a knocking noise from the engine for investigation. As our car was a high performance car this investigation seemed to involve a member of staff miss treating and ragging the ar*e off it on a so called test drive (footage of which we recovered from the Dashcam before they took it down). we were told it needed a new timing chain, as the car had an extended warranty on it this work was authorised eventually by the warranty company once they were able to contact Fast lane as communication is not their strong point hence our car being stuck there for so long. The timing chain was replaced with an inferior after market part not a genuine manufacturer part like we were told it was, but this did not solve the problem, in fact it was just the start of our nightmare with this garage. They had the car in total for over 4 months during this time we were told (when they bothered to communicate with us and the warranty company) there was various problem after problem with various parts within the engine and it would need a full new engine which we did not believe as the car had very low mileage, we decided to take the car back into our possession and get it looked at elsewhere, we were eventually told it would have to be recovered as it should not be started or run. Very annoyed by now as the car was a runner when we took it there. On the day we was to recover the car we received a call telling us to hold off collection as the cars bodywork had now been damaged by a customer hitting it (which we did not believe more like they had done it themselves, no witnesses, no cctv, no idea) they said they would repair it which they ended up doing but very badly and poorly. We had had enough by now and was fuming. We eventually recovered the car to a new garage who stripped the engine down, found the real cause of the knocking noise and repaired it within a few weeks. It turned out everything fast lane told us was wrong with it was no where near what was actually wrong with it, they didn't have a clue.Fast lane charged us over £2000 to replace the timing chain which never needed doing in the first place (as the original one was examined by the new garage) and return our car to us in a much worse state than when we took it to them.We still need to get the bodywork sorted by a proper bodyshop and hope to get it done when the weather picks up in the spring. Apologies if this review seems long winded but just needed to get it out there as lots of other people have said that Fast Lane Autocare rip you off and have zero customer care. Do your homework and read all the reviews before trusting anyone with work you may need doing on anything.

Absolute shambles of a company, don't go anywhere near them unless you want to be ripped off and pay for something they don't do.

What a rip off, they rip you off politely and in the most cordial of ways, they lure you into spending £96.00 for "diagnosis", at the end of a working day, only to be told they can't diagnose without taking the car apart and need more time. Basically paid a ridiculous amount of money to be told the car cannot be diagnosed and that is after guaranteeing a job will be done and driving over 40 miles for it. A con of a garage. Avoid at all costs and save yourselves time & money.

I wouldn't even give this rip off garage a 1 star. Took half the bill up front payment, of extortionate amount! Man stipulated for parts. 4 weeks on after numerous calls for updates, lie after lie after lie, stated they would have if ready but STILL haven't. I then asked for them to return my vehicle, as they are clearly incompetent, one man stated to give him an hour to get it out!!! NOW refusing to give me MY property back and demanding I pay a further 1k or they won't release it. They have done NO work on my vehicle, how can they demand more funds for no service provided?? **STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS POSSIBLE. MARK OAKLEY is a fraudulent.

Dropped my 2012 Citroen C4 diesel into Fastlane Autocare in St. Helens at 9am last Wednesday morning to have a new clutch/flywheel and ABS rear wheel sensor fitted at a cost of almost £1,600 plus VAT. Initially told to call back at 3: 30pm for an update, but agent did say given the age of the vehicle, completion could possibly run to the next morning. A call at 3:30pm confirmed it wasn’t ready and I should call at 10am Thursday .

The car wasn’t ready next morning, and wasn’t returned to us until 3pm on Friday, almost three working days after I had dropped it off. Despite several calls for progress updates, we were given no apology or explanation for the delay, other than them having to replace a hose on Friday morning while they were re-assembling (although their technician had managed to find further faults which they could repair for £580 plus VAT).

We eventually saw the manager who was completely indifferent to the fact that we had been badly inconvenienced by their failure to commit to a delivery time and date, and his response to every question was it was an old car and they always take longer.
Eventually, my wife asked if his only answer was “ Tough, it’s an old car .What do you expect”. He said “Yeah, that’s about it”

When I expressed dissatisfaction with his answer and attitude he said he was terminating the conversation as I was just repeating myself, he had work to do and I was boring him!

A stressful experience with a business that seems to have no interest in customer satisfaction and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Had my motorcycle in for an oil change, fork seals and diagnostics to cure over reving (possibly tps switch).After over 7 months of phone calls/ messages i finally went to the garage and demanded they release the bike, even then they were trying to say it was awaiting reassembly, I could see it through the open door ? Told to give them an hour so went for some breakfast, then got a call saying it would take them til the end of the day to reasemble it ? Told them I would be back in 30 minutes , got another call 10 minutes later saying it was ready, on inspection the fork seals had been done but no evidence the oil and filters had been changed, Paid up front for collection and parts/labour , just wished I had read the reviews first. Whilst in the shop there were 3 angry customers awaiting answers about overcharging, poor workmanship and lack of communication. STAY AWAY from this place, You have been warned !!!

Mobile mechanic came the same day to diagnose the problem. Yes, they could fix it in a couple of days. After paying for recovery and the work up front, funnily enough it needed another part and couldn't be released without it being done and paid for up front of course. Gave them a time I was going to collect after the second fix and it was parked in the middle of a load of other cars and had to wait like an inconvenience while they got it out. Issue still isn't resolved but can only be looked at if I take it back, tricky with a car that won't always start. The parts are only guaranteed if looked at in the garage, again car won't always start. The mobile mechanics that were able to fit me in the same day I first called are now suddenly booked up for weeks. Ridiculous company.

Used this company to come and diagnose a brake light issue the fee was £175 the next day someone came out to take a look they was unable to take my rear brake light out so I did it for him he then spent about 2 minutes looking not touching anything and said probably water getting in.
No diagnostic machine used nothing I've contacted the company to say this and its all recorded on camera and there refusing to refund any funds back they said we only have my side of the storey and need to speak with the mechanic it's been 5 days and still not heard anything.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ITS A COMPLETE PAY UPFRONT SCAM AND THEY DONT DIAGNOSE ANYTHING.

arrived Oct 18th 9 am computer said blower relay faulty. do not know part or position gone by 9:30 for £173 !
Promised callback never came, chased until 23rd when Fastlane said needs garage work £800 ?! I said NO.

Great service and really informative, would highly recommend them.

If only I'd read the reviews first. Absolutely the worst rip off company I've ever dealt with. DO NOT USE!!!

Phoned for a mobile tyre replacement, they located a tyre I needed to be fitted, which they collected and arrived shortly after, tyre fitted by Jon, many thanks,from John

If the garage in St Helens gives you a quote or a recommendation for a repair, I would strongly suggest that you get a second opinion.

Mark did a fab job on my caravan. definitely a great asset to the company
