Formula One Autocentres - Strood Anmeldelser 

I had booked on line for a MOT and full service. I was sent a email reminder the day before telling me the date and time of the service. When I turned up at the auto centre in Stroud at 9.15 was told I had missed my MOT slot it was at 08.30. I said the email reminder yesterday did not stipulate an exact time it said all day. Presenting my vehicle at 9.15 seemed to me to be a reasonable time for the service and MOT.
Unfortunately I had to agree to the service to be completed and had to find another garage to carry out the MOT. As the MOT ran out that day this caused me a great deal of worry. Luckily I found somewhere who could complete the MOT the same day which cost me more than it would have cost if formula one had done it.
When I’ve required tyres in the past they have said bring it in first thing. So I thought this applied to a time saying ALL DAY in their email reminder.
It is only when you scroll down on the reminder email in smaller print that it tells you to bring your vehicle in could it be possible for the on line booking system to correctly inform customers what time to bring their cars in bold letters instead off the ALL DAY in bold letters.
This has caused me to be inconvenienced and out of pocket.

Called less than an hour ago to check they had a tyre in stock and see if they could fit me in today. 45 minutes later, I'm sat in my car typing this review as I'm so impressed by Dave at Strood's customer service and the speed at which it's been done. Very happy customer and will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for making my hectic Sunday that little bit easier to deal with. Brilliant work

Shocking, I was charged twice for labour and thank god I contacted the regional manager to inform him that they were pressurising me on making decision on the phone whilst I told them I was in the middle of work and had to call them back in hour or so.
Furthermore, I called them this morning out to tell them I had to cancel an appointment that I booked. Whilst on the phone I told them I emailed them some paperwork about earlier diagnostic which I thought could be helpful for them, and they told them this was useless whilst I told them this could aid them into finding the fault, at which point they hang up on me.

Took my car for a service at Strood site, they didn't have the right software to diagnose my engine light, said it was an "unknown error", but a local garage did, expect more from a brand company. Was told it's fine to drive with my engine light on, turns out it was my crankshaft sensor which I sorted at a local garage.

Got an MOT done here which was fine but would not go back here again for a service.

Got to Strood garage this morning for MOT, which I booked 10 days an advance. Rude man at reception with no badge has told me that my car’s MOT is not booked on his system and he doesn’t care about fitting my car in. Without any apology he sent me away. No customer service, no manager on site who you can speak. MOT is running out in couple of days and all this days I’m working, now I’m calling all local garages to get a short notice appointment. Would never go back there, please be aware before you book any appointments with them.

Fantastic. Staff are friendly, helpful and made the whole process great from start to finish. I will definitely be using the Strood branch from now on. Really happy

After being fobbed off by elite garages...I got a second opinion, no problem with brakes...Will need to sort out exhaust flexipipe but not as urgent as I was originally told. Dave and other staff were helpful and I will definitely go back!

The worst experience I have ever had.
Booked in for 2 new tyres at Strood f1 autocenter.
The booking was at 11.30,I was told on arrival that they was behind an hour.
So waited around.3 hours later the manager comes in to tell they can’t fit me in.
No options to change the date,no apologise with no care in the world.so very rude

Would not adivise anyone going there the manager Dave small bloke has no idea in is profession very rude when my wheel fell off they tried to deny it all could have killed some one

Really good service from Dave and can’t remember his name but the MOT engineer. Accommodating and honest matched with great knowledge and skills.

Awful company. Said the main hard brake line had “exploded above the fuel tank and “it would cost a fortune”. When researching and looking into the year of the car, the cables don’t even run above the fuel tank - they run around the side! Spoke to another garage who confirmed this. Took it out of the F1 garage and elsewhere, it was a £125 job and nothing like F1 autocentres said. Interestingly, when you start talking to other people, they’ve experienced similar stories. Clearly a company that does these kind of things regularly to inflate their work and charge extortionate amounts.

Have been to the Strood centre again this month. Always very good and helpful. Will keep using them.

I was booked in for an MOT but my car failed which I wasn’t expecting. Dave the branch manager was so helpful and told me a local scrapyard I could go to for a part I needed, and he was able to get the other bits I needed and fit me in for a retest on the same day! Thank God he did because my daughter went into labour the next morning and I had to get her to hospital. Thank you so much! Highly recommended.

I visited Formula one today after needing an urgent tyre change. When we called they had the tyre size I needed in a budget tyre which is what I was going to purchase. However, when we arrived it turned out these tyre’s had actually already sold out and they only had a more expensive tyre left in stock. Dave the branch manager instantly stepped in and said as we had already been quoted we could have this tyre for the same price. Great service and all done really quickly. Thank you!

Prompt attention by the manager Dave on arrival and kept well informed dispute turning up without appointment.
They were able to check my brakes immediately and also able to replace the front brakes in same visit.
The technician Charlie worked promptly and efficiently and had the whole job turned around quickly

So happy with my recent service & MOT. The manager David, explained everything clearly so I understood what was happening. The technician & MOT tester, Josh & Cass did a great job & it was an all round pleasant experience.

I’m really grateful to Formula 1 Strood who have worked on my car several times, helping me out at really short notice when I needed my car to be working. They’re always friendly, well-priced and work to a high-standard. I never feel patronised or that they’re telling me my car needs work it doesn’t. They’re also in a handy spot with places to grab a drink/food/essential shopping while you wait!
