We chose EGY to replace our conservatory, windows and fit a garage door, but we really wish we hadn’t.

Below are just some of the issues we experienced:
- Working part days so job took longer than it was supposed to (only told it would not be finished at end of last day)
- Not turning up when they said they would & not informing us that they wouldn’t be attending
- Leaving potentially dangerous rubbish strewn around the garden
- Using different fitters each day so we had to continually repeat ourselves and things weren’t finished to our preference
- Being continually lied to, including to do with what could and couldn’t be done, types of fittings used and quality of finish
- They used incorrect parts which needed replacing
- The conservatory fitters were very noisy, disruptive and the job was finished to a poor standard
- The conservatory floor has been badly damaged and needs replacing
- The self-cleaning windows not only do not self-clean but are already permanently marked by bird poo. We are now left with lifelong cleaning costs at an increased rate due to how difficult some areas are to get to.

The Management and colleagues that initially followed up recognised the poor work. So much so that after the initial time set to install the conservatory, we had 7 further visits to try and resolve the issues. In the end we told them that time would be the last, they still didn’t bother to do a good job. We are now left with either having to live with the bad finishes or pay for someone to re-do them.

All this would be bad enough, but the attitude of the Director assigned to deal with our complaint has been disgusting. We received a blanket apology and were advised that due to company restructuring, this situation wouldn’t happen again, which I do not believe for a second after having to deal with him and his dismissive attitude. We listed many issues which were just ignored, hardly any of the issues (and none of the ongoing cost issues) were addressed. We were given information by their office regarding costs which turned out to be a lie, he didn’t even bother to apologise for that, just made excuses.

We were assured by the Sales Rep that we would only pay once we were happy, yet another lie. Whilst they did give us a discount, the amount offered (and then some) will be swallowed up by replacing the damaged floor and having the poor workmanship re-done. That was the maximum they would offer, we had no option to agree as he just threaten us with court and demanded payment.

We recently had our windows replaced by EYG and are thrilled with the service we received from start to finish. Due to damage to our property, we needed new windows fitted urgently, so we contacted EYG for a quick quote. A representative visited the very next day to take measurements and provided a detailed quote on the same day.

Once our insurance approved the work, we placed our order, and the process moved swiftly from there. The surveyor came out promptly to finalise the measurements, allowing production to begin without delay.

The installation itself was completed in just three days by two exceptionally skilled installers. They were polite, professional, and meticulous, taking care to leave no mess behind at the end of each day. They truly were a credit to the company.

It’s only been a few days since the windows were installed, but we’re already noticing a significant improvement in the warmth of our home. Not to mention, the windows look fantastic from the outside!

We couldn’t be happier with the entire experience and would highly recommend EYG to anyone looking for quality windows and outstanding service. Thank you, EYG!

Made an appointment with sales team, they contacted me day before to confirm appointment, they never turned up and never called me to let me know they had cancelled appointment - this is sales team! What would fitter be like? EYG took 2 years (yes that is correct 2 years to respond to this review!

Explained what we wanted and he explained everything without any pushy sales talk.
Good price quoted so booked fir work to be done.

From our very first enquiry to this company, we were dealt with in a friendly, ultra-professional manner - traits which were continued by all the EYG staff and employees who we encountered. Shane, the Sales Consultant, is vastly experienced and knowledgeable, and was instrumental in helping us choose which style of windows best suited our property. The fitters, Gaz and Jordan, were polite, exceptionally skilled, and were very careful in removing the old windows without causing damage to the internal reveals or external render. They cleaned up thoroughly after the work was finished, and we are delighted with both of them. Finally, the quality of the windows is first class and the price quoted was very competitive. EYG have transformed my property and I have no hesitation in highly recommending this company.

Eyg fitted a new front door a small window and redid our conservatory. They were supposed to start on Monday 22nd July but called on the Saturday before that they would be a day late.
The fitters did a fantastic job and we are very pleased with new door and conservatory.
They explained what they was going to do every step of the way.

Mark Damien and John did a superb job fitting us two bifold doors.

We asked for a quote for a new front door. The salesman that called around appeared confused and unsure of his product range and left without giving us a price. I then got a phone call from the Lincoln sales manager who provided us with a quote that was almost £1k more than the other competitors, and that was supposed to be the sales price. When I told him it was too expensive he became rude and condescending. I am now plagued by regular cold sales phone calls from this company. November 24 Update: Still getting regular cold calls despite asking them to remove my number from their database. I've now had to block their number. Update: Jun 26 - I wrote the original review March 24 and it has taken EYG until June 26 to reply. I think that tells you all you need to know about their level of customer service.

Having been let down by another well known double glazing company in Hull we called EYG to give us a quote for the remaining work that needed doing.
Daryl the sales man was very straight forward and we were more than happy with the quote which hasn’t left us out of pocket.

Bad experience with this company, one of three companies I invited round to give quotes for 7 replacement windows.
Martin attended in March and measured all windows; he gave a quote which was competitive and similar to the other two. He made no mention of the lack of lintels above each of the four upstairs windows, which was clearly apparent as they were identifed by the other companies.
I accepted the quote in good faith, and signed an initial contract. A surveyor was arranged and Simon arrived some weeks later. He immediately identified that four 'steels' were required above the upstairs windows and said that the cost would now be increased by over £900. I refused to pay anymore than agreed initially at which point he called EYG and told me we could get away with only three steels with an increased cost of over £700.
Again I refused to pay anything further.
I asked EYG to clarify the position and John Waugh, Domestic Sales and Marketing Director got involved.
Four days later I got a text stating the installation team would contact me shortly.
Still no new quote had been written or communicated to me, so I called EYG myself to be told the additional cost of £700 plus was still live on the contract.
I immediately cancelled the contract and got my deposit back within 7 days.

A happy ending though, I have received a more professional and fair response from local firm JF Bodmans & Sons in Doncaster who charged much less to negate the lack of lintels. I am awaiting an installaion date from them.

My Aunt gave EYG her telephone number 20 years ago as she was trying to get out of a garden centre and they ring her every couple of weeks and won’t take no for a answer it has been stressing her out so much as she is 93 now and they bully her into making an appointment and then I have to phone and cancel it and each time they promise me to take her off the data base so the last time this happened she was so distraught at the thought of this stranger coming to see her that I had to threaten to call the police but of course in the trying to sort this all out I had to give them my telephone number so now I am on the blooming data base and today when the “sales rep” rang and I told him it wasn’t on that they keep ringing me he hung up on me so I rang him back and he denied talking to me and hung up again so I rang again and again he hung up and then the manager rang and I let rip. I am actually considering on keep cold calling them. Don’t touch this company.

I wasn't going to bother writing a review about the terrible service I received from this company however after reluctantly giving them a second chance to come round for a conservatory quote, the salesman didn't even bother to turn up for the appointment, no phone call to let us know.
The original quote was for all our windows and front door. Salesman came round, eventually gave us a price which we haggled on some more, finally signing a contract to do the lot for just over 7K. However about a month later another salesman called to inform us there had been a mistake which meant we had to pay another £500. As the contracts had already been signed and agreed upon I refused to pay anymore. We had it all done by someone else in the end.

Matthew came out to see us for a rear extension, he is the sales manager at Newark.
He was so polite,knowledgeable,and put some ideas to us. He wasn’t at all pushy and we felt very relaxed with him.
We are not going to go ahead with it at the moment but the quality of the products looked first class.
If we do go ahead in the future this is the company we would use.

We had a lovely salesman called Daryl visit for a discovery consultation for an extension and a new front door. He was open and honest throughout and spent a lot of time getting the design we were after and offered us various options to suit our budget. We hadn't been able to proceed with the project at the time and, although he was here to sell, we didn't feel pressured at all. Once we are able to take the project on again, we'll absolutely be contacting EYG and Daryl to re-quote.
I'd recommend anyone looking to get an extension to put them on the list to get a quote as the higher-end option. They are a trustworthy local company to consider.

I've just had a sales man out to give me a quote for a few doors and I found him bizarre, rude and to be honest I felt really uncomfortable throughout the whole appointment. He was patronising, condescending, didn't introduce himself (after a crap joke about him being from tv licensing) at the door and instead let himself in and despite me saying I didn't want to play 'guess the price' he continued. He also walked away with the quote on a pad and paper so even if I was willing to go with EYG, I wouldn't feel confident that it would still be available to me after he left. I knew exactly what I wanted in the design of the front door but he tried to convince me of his preference instead and then made some rude comments about the decor in the house we have just bought (and as I told him, are planning to renovate). Just a really crappy sales style and an unpleasant visit.

We had bi fold doors fitted back in 2017 , unfortunately from then till now, we have had two small issues, but one phone call to the service department and they had an engineer attend within two days. Absolutely fantastic service would highly recommend the company and The after sale service
