Courtesy car
5 minutes of leave the garage the petrol light came on. Car was lovely and clean on the inside but the outside was not. The window screen was full of dead insects and the car had no screen wash in so we could clean it.
The gentleman who dealt with us was lovely.

Staff helpful, but don't answer phones
While the staff were polite and helpful face to face, trying to get a hold of the service team on the phone was a stress, the phone line would just keep ringing or worse answered then immediately hung up. I was left two days without knowing what was going on with my car and had to go down in person to get an answer. When I enquired as to why I kept being hung up on, I was told that it was because there were only two members of staff and that they would have been with another customer. Where I can understand they are unable to answer the phone, hanging up on a customer without even giving them a response is awful customer service. This is no slight to the girls on the service team as they can only do what they have ben instructed. But either answer the call and inform the customer that you would call them back, or implement a hold queue system, either option is better than the customer feeling ignored and frankly annoyed at being hung up on.

Brilliant service!
We’ve been a customer of Evan Halshaw Sunderland for a couple of years now and has always been impressed and pleased with their service. Our recent visit was with James and Lauren, they were very patient and accomodating with our situation as we look for few options. James gave us honest and upfront feedback on our selections, which shows that they are not just after “selling” the product but also focused on clients actual needs. It was a great pleasure dealing with the team and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. Highly recommend!

Absolutely disgraceful service…
Absolutely disgraceful service beginning to end. Where do I start? Let’s just talk about the collection of the car
Had to ask for my documents
Asked to sign documents saying I had inspected the car when I hadn’t
When I inspected the car, dirty on the paintwork inside around the doors, and 15-20 unblown balloons in the boot
No users/car manual - still waiting
Asked to sign documents stating my part exchange car had been in an accident/used as a police training vehicle/had finance on it/was used as a courier car etc etc- none was correct
When I got home documents on the back seat with the previous owners personal information, full name and address
Took 3 days to get through to a manager who I believe just fobbed me off, and told me to destroy the documents - no - these documents are the previous owners and not mine to destroy
Now had an email a week after collecting the car to provide documents that they have already photocopied, eg my proof of car insurance for the new car.

Didn’t get engine flush as didn’t have the tools
Booked well in advance was for two & half hours told on day could take till 5pm wasn’t told this so receptionist quickly changed time didn’t get engine flush as garage didn’t have tools was told I can have this done on next service

The front facing people/reception were very welcoming and available to attend to me. They gave the opportunity to ask any questions. Contact by telephone, although mobile connection was interrupted at times not sure why, communication by staff members especially Dan was very positive and clear. Vehicle handover was also done by the technician who helped answer questions we had.
