We posted an ad on Craigslist seeking individuals willing to stress-test the ErrandHubb website, identify potential bugs, and provide feedback about their overall experience. We hired approximately five people for this purpose, including Sean Nettles.
Sean completed his review, and afterward, the owner of ErrandHubb asked him how much he believed he should be paid based on the amount of time he spent reviewing the website. We discussed whether the payment should be $20 or $40. Sean stated that $25 would be enough. We offered to pay him $30 instead, which he accepted, and the payment was sent to him through Zelle.
We have records of the Zelle payment and our text-message communications documenting this exchange.
Approximately two or three hours later, Sean contacted us again requesting an additional $10 and mentioned that he was sick. We explained that the agreed-upon payment had already been made and his testing assignment had been closed, so we would not reopen it simply to issue an additional payment that had not previously been agreed upon.
Before requesting the additional money, Sean had written a very positive review of ErrandHubb, which we have retained. After we declined his request for the additional $10, he subsequently posted or edited his review to include negative statements that we believe are false and inconsistent with his original review.
We believe the timing and documented communications are important context for anyone evaluating his review.
Anyone who would like to see the relevant text-message exchange, proof of payment, and Sean's original positive review may visit ErrandHubb.com, click Contact, and request the supporting documentation.
Thank you for taking the time to read our response.
