I'm quite shocked actually that a company this big is behaving in such a fashion.

I'm quite shocked actually that a company this big is behaving in such a fashion.
They have changed to a new accounting system. charging for more bottles than I have since April still not resolved and sending new wrong bills. Has an account for 25 years Energas will not make 26 years
I have tried contactiong local Manchester branch, My call is diverted to Hull. I have emailed Manchester and had replies but issues still not sorted.

Nothing short of a nightmare!
Charged for extra bottles that we do not have, to then be told by the rep to cancel the direct debit as it is a national issue and they can’t take bottles off the account.
But then you heard it here get a bill for nearly 1K with the same amounts on charged for 8 bottles when we have 4 on site the place is an absolute joke.
Try to get hold of the rep she’s often on holiday or doesn’t return calls.
Go to swap bottles you got it they don’t have them in stock!!!

We decided as a company to change supplier from Energas to another competitor. We off hired all the bottles and these were collected. I have proof from someone at Energas that we no longer have any onsite. However, Energas continued to collect payments from us blaming an internal error in their new accounting software. Sure this is on a review from a few years ago. We are owed £234.31 and despite emailing Stephen Newton previously and being promised the refund all my emails are now being ignored. This has been ongoing since July 2025 and is absolutely ridiculous. I have all email proof of conversations and promises of refunds yet to arrive. If someone would like to contact me via here that would be great. Thank you

If you need welding gas don't use this company , promised delivery on a certain date ,guess what didn't turn up said their delivery driver have problems coming below Milton Keynes,if you have company south of Luton go elsewhere , they have not got any supply depot in the south,why bother sending reps down south if they can't supply within a couple of days.

Never had any problems with energas. My items are always readily available and if by some chance, my goods are not in stock, the staff bend over backwards to make sure it’s on site for me the very next day.
Gas deliveries are very prompt and good communication if there is a delay.

Energas have been brilliant, local firm that has grown and who understand your needs and know your account. They provide a new “Qlixbi” cylinder which is unique to them and has massively improved safety at a very competitive price. Never had any issues.

Our experience with Energas has been nothing short of a nightmare, despite what should have been a straightforward transition from Gas Direct. Right from the start, the service has been plagued by errors and unexpected costs.
Initially, we received three bottles, one of which was incorrect. On top of that, one of the 50L bottles arrived with a pressure of less than 230 BAR, which was completely unacceptable. After raising the issue, they sent a replacement, but this bottle only measured 195 BAR. Though we accepted it, considering it was close to the 200 BAR we required, it was far from ideal.
To make matters worse, about a week later, we received an invoice with over £160 in charges! Shocked, I contacted the Hucknall branch to question the fees, as they seemed completely unreasonable. They did issue a £19 credit for the wrong bottle, which we appreciated, but the handling and shipping charges still amounted to more than £70—this was the main reason we questioned the bill in the first place.
A week has passed since my initial complaint, and I’m still waiting for a clear answer or any resolution. This level of service is unacceptable, and I’m not willing to pay for their mistakes, especially when I’m supposed to be charged only £15 for delivery. Until this is resolved fairly, I won’t be paying a penny more.
If you’re considering Energas, be prepared for a lack of accountability and endless frustration. What should have been a smooth process has instead been riddled with errors, hidden charges, and poor customer service.

One of the drivers parked in front of my house in a village & urinated on the driveway. Evidence available as we have CCTV cameras which he must have seen. I emailed Energas the day it happened but nobody has had the decency to reply. Obviously they are all tarred with the same brush & have no manners at all.

Beware when you take a bottle off rental, they will continue to take the payment for the rental, and then blame the problem on their system, getting the money back is very difficult.
Management in the Derby Branch doesn't take ownership of the problem.
There are better and more customer-focused companies offering the same service. Do your research before buying from them.
So was renting argon 5 mix 50l bottle from this company. Charged 53£ per bottle to refill plus rent 8£, after a month took out from my account 230£ was calling them every week for 3 weeks to sort out the problem never sorted anything, now I'm with gas direct brilliant service! Paying 18£ can add photo evidence too
