Rang about a Mondeo. Told him I wanted it and would come tomorrow, rang him to put a deposit down, he agreed.
He then rang me back 5 minutes later telling me it was sold. But he could offer my finance, then he tried to offer me a 5k car for 9k after finance and was very pushy about it.
Let's be honest, the Mondeo never existed.
Totally unprofessional
Made an appointment with Adam Hastings to view an automatic Vitara in Halifax today. Arrived to find he wasn’t there and when we enquired the car had already been sold! What a total waste of time and, given the cost of fuel, money. Won’t be dealing with them in future.
Avoid at all cost
Very unhappy will level of service
Bought a discovery in December. When looking over it I noticed a suspension fault. Sales person told it was because it had been sitting for a couple of week. Turns out the compressor and wiring where faulty. Also notice an oil leak which turned out to be from when the did a service on it. The over tighten the oil filter housing an cracked it. Out of the blue last week the fuel sender unit stopped working so now I don't know how much fuel is in the car. Other things that have bugged me is I have waited 4 weeks for yhe v5 doc but after numerous call to the dvla is is still not I'm my name
So where do I stand
I'm facing a bill of £900 pounds which will only be covered partly by the Warrenty they gave because oil filters mounts an wiring are not covered
Not a nice company to deal with and should be avoided at all cost
AVOID AT ALL COSTS - ABSOLUTE DISGRACE
Easy Car Credit are a con and were featured on 'Call the Sheriffs' due to their fraudulent business activities. I didn't know this when I made my purchase.
I bought a 2017/8 Range Rover Evoque from Easy Car Credit and the whole buying process was appalling. We planned an initial meeting at 6pm and at 6:15pm, I was getting no response when calling them, and the shop was all locked up. Then at 6:30pm, after numerous calls and texts, the sales lad arrived in the car. I had no idea where it had come from and they wouldn't let me see.
He was extremely pushy, forcing the car down my throat and didn't let me take it for a long drive. I was able to drive it around the block, I didn't get out of 2nd gear and before I had chance to get a feel for the car, we were back.
The car was advertised as immaculate and HPI clear. Once I had paid the deposit, they went silent. I realised the car had outstanding finance and when I tried to contact them, it was a week before they responded to tell me it was normal for car dealers to have holding finance.
After a few weeks of silence, they contacted me to say the car was ready for collection. Upon arrival, again late and this time accompanied by a random woman, they were quick to get me into the office. They were reluctant to let me talk and tried to rush through the sales process. They tried to knock £1,000 off the original part-exchange value of my car, even though we had already agreed a price and then I paid the outstanding balance in full. They also made me sign an agreement stating that the car is 'as seen' and if there is anything missing, there's nothing I can do about it. I thought this was odd but preceded with caution. We swapped documents and within minutes of us finishing, they had left. They gave me no opportunity to inspect the car and there was no thank you / goodbye / etc.
Once I had arrived home, I noticed that the car had been bumped on the rear bumper and bodged up. Additionally, they had removed the parcel shelf (£240), two of the mats, and the puncture repair kit, I assume for re-sale. There was also no service history, even though it was advertised as having full JLR service history. I have emailed numerous times since purchasing the car and had no response.
After a week, I noticed that they had still not paid off the holding finance, even though they should pay it immediately once the sale has gone through. I tried contacting them and again, received no response. Another two weeks went by and I was really starting to panic at this point and then they finally emailed me out of the blue to say it had been paid. That was the last time I ever heard from them.
I am now stuck with a car which has no service history, pieces missing and no hope of getting these items back. They're a disgrace and are only out to con people. They have also 'phoenixed' several times, where they close the business name down and set up under a new name, in order to avoid bad press. Avoid this company and any sister companies at all costs, otherwise it could end up costing you substantially, as well as terrible stress and worry!

Avoid this company and their sister company. The car I was mis-sold was advertised as HPI clear, full main dealer service history, and pristine. It was none of these things. There were 2 lots of outstanding finance, Audi had no record of it every being serviced, and it wasn't pristine. Lots of dents and two dodgy paint repairs that couldn't be seen when it was raining (my mistake), and one key. They then mis-advertised the car I part exchanged. The mileage was lower than when I dropped it off, and they said it had options that it didn't have. My solicitor is dealing with it, and struggling to get a response even though they are in clear breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They are also known as The Motor Arena, look at their ratings and try and ignore the suspicious 5 star reviews. They also appeared on 'The Sheriffs are coming' Season 9, episode 1. I'm sure lots of 5 star reviews will suddenly appear on this list of reviews to knock mine down the list.
