The order took one month to fulfil. Midway I asked what's the status of my order, never got any reply. When the order finally came, it at least was as described.
I bought a Dutchware Chameleon hammock from Dutchhammockstore.nl in July 2023 and as of January 2024 the hammock has still not been delivered. I contacted the company several times asking for more information on the order and have received zero response from them. Reading other people’s comments here it seems this has been true for other people who have used this company. I can only say I very strongly advise that you do not buy anything from them, as they seem to be a very poor business. They are also listed on the main Dutchware site as the distributer of their hammocks in Holland and I hope that Dutchware also pay attention to the bad business practices of this company and cease using them as a distributer - as it reflects negatively on their product and business even by association.
I can confirm the experiences of others that posted a one-star review here: this shop has awful customer service, is very unprofessional in its conduct and blatantly rips off its customers. Let me sum it up:
1. The shop does not respond to e-mails. I have tried to contact the shop with questions on several occasions and never received a reply.
2. After payment, it took almost two weeks for the package to arrive. I reached out to the company and – again – did not receive any response.
3. The company rips off its customers by overcharging them with the shipping costs. I paid the full €6.50 (reserved in the Netherlands for parcel shipment) for an envelope that only contained 23 grams of goods. In the Netherlands, such an envelope shouldn’t cost more than €1.92.
Advice: Avoid this company, there are better vendors around that don’t treat their customers like garbage.
Advice: Avoid this company! They don't respond to emails and still haven't shipped my order after several days. No info on their website stating that they're closed or that they only send on certain dates. I've bought similar gear from other EU-vendors which ship the same day. I always consciously avoid vendors which are slow to ship and patron those who are quick to ship and respond to the customers. Had I know this then I'd never had bought anything from them. A very unprofessional and unacceptable way to run a business. Zero stars.
Dit verdient niet de naam winkel. Wat een absolute aanfluiting. Je als klant laten wachten, niet reageren, op terugstorting van je geld moeten wachten en ettelijke malen hierom moeten vragen? Ik zal de naam van de persoon die hier achter zit niet noemen, maar ga je s.v.p. schamen. In 2022 zo'n belabberde online service leveren?

I placed an order on the 31st of July, and asked for a status update on the 8th of Augustus. I got one on the 9th informing me that the colour of the product I ordered was out of stock, and that I could pick a different colour. Compliments for the speedy reply, but it would have been even better if they would have informed me about this, without me having to ask for a status update in the first place. Anyway, I replied with my answer that very same day.
It got quiet after that so I again asked for a status update on the 24th of August, no reply. Sent another status update request on the 2nd of September, no reply. Eventually on the 15th of September I received an automated message informing me that the product was shipped. And lo and behold, the product arrived on the 17th.
I am glad the product arrived. But 7 weeks to get it delivered? No award for best possible customer service.
I am also not content with email communication. Ordered mid of May and until now (mid of August) no response when the hammock is being send to me. I got replies though when I mentioned that I can ask to get my money back with paypal.
I would never use this shop again, but would order directly at the dutch company in the US.
Dutch hammock store er en fin forretning, med mulighed for forbedring når det kommer til kommunikation med kunden.
De leverer de varer der bliver bestilt, når de har dem på lager, og ellers bestiller de dem hjem fra hovedsædet i usa(DutchWareGear.com)
Når man har bestilt kan der godt gå lidt længere end man kunne ønske sig før varen bliver afsendt, men når det sker får man en mail med tracking nummer.
Jeg har bestilt fra dem 5 gange, og jeg har modtaget alt jeg har bestilt, med en leveringstid mellem 4 hverdage og op til 3 uger.
Når man har lagt sin bestilling er det svært at få kontakt med dem, men jeg tvivler ikke på deres integritet 👍
Their customer service is non existing. I ordered some stuff from them mid July. Some of the items I received where the wrong size. I contacted them and got a reply that they would look into it. A week later I contacted them again to follow up. They apologized but then again did nothing. Later I contacted them again without any response. 1 month later still nothing. This company clearly doesn't care AT ALL about their customers. Stay away.
Answer to reply from Dutchhammockstore: You can't use Covid as an excuse for ignoring mails from your customers. It might be a sidejob but if you don't want to put the needed amount of time into it you should drop it!

Bestilte en cuctom køje, på siden oplyses man om at de skal have mindst 4 og så bestiller de hvert kvartal fra USA.
Fordelen er at jeg som kunde spare nogle skatter og afgifter, fordi jeg deler dem med andre, ulæmpen er at der kan gå meget meget lang tid før, hængekøjen ankommer, men det er man jo så oplyst om (hvis man gider læse på siden)
Jeg bestilte kort før corona ledlukning.
Da de får min køje i Holland, opdager de at jeg har bestilt en del til et andet mærke, og skriver og spørger om jeg skal bruge den, eller om jeg vil bytte til en tilsvarende del beregnet til chameleon'en (service)
MEN ind til da hørte jeg nærmest ikke et pip fra dem, det er mange måneder at gå, når man ikke har hørt om firmaet før, og intet kan finde her på trust, der af kun 4 stjerner, det kunne have været rart med en mail om at jeg ikke var glemt, når der er så lang ventetid.
Min køje er ankommet, megen venten (og det er fint for de skriver jo at det kan tage lang tid, fordi de vil spare på told og mons når man vælger en custum køje) da først den var landet i Holland gik det stærkt til trods for det var hen over en weekend.
Der tør jeg godt handle igen.
