Très très mauvaise expérience,
J'ai dû payé 90e en plus de ma réservation car je n'avez pas la carte crédit ou j'ai la normal débit.
Le jour de retour du véhicule on me demande de payer le lavage du véhicule.
Jamais vu cela.
Je ne louerai plus jamais chez Drivo.
En plus il n'ont pas d'agence mais un van sur le parking de l'aéroport.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. DO NOT LET THE LOW RATES FOOL YOU. THIS COMPANY AND EMPLOYEES ARE FRAUD. They send you with defective cars then say you’re are responsible since you pulled off their lot. They charge over $200 for smoke cleaning cost weeks later AND I DO NOT NOR HAVE I EVER SMOKED. I hate smoke but here I am being charged with a fee and they hang up when I ask for a manager. All they had to do was be honest and do the right thing. I’m reporting this company to KBB as well. Full of BS

Très mauvaise expérience avec Drivo Rent A Car. Malgré une réservation prévue à 12h00, j'ai dû attendre jusqu'à 13h45 pour récupérer le véhicule. De plus, la représentante du service client (téléphonique) a été impolie et peu professionnelle lors de nos échanges. Après la location, une charge additionnelle de 600 MAD a été prélevée sans explication claire ni preuve de mon consentement. Lorsque j'ai demandé des justifications, l'entreprise s'est contentée d'envoyer une facture a posteriori sans démontrer que cette somme avait été acceptée. J'ai dû transmettre le dossier à mon établissement financier pour contester cette transaction. Je ne recommande pas cette société en raison de son manque de transparence et de son service à la clientèle décevant.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a car rental company. I booked a car in advance at Drivo/Ace at LGA Airport, and when I arrived they told me they did not have a car for me. That alone is completely unacceptable, but it got even worse.

I saw a car there that would have worked perfectly for me, but they told me it needed repairs. I did not believe them, so I went to the back and asked the mechanic/repair worker, and he told me the car was actually good. That made it obvious to me that they were lying and simply did not want to give me the car. The supervisor was extremely rude, dishonest, and unprofessional. Instead of helping.

I also paid $50 twice just to get to pickup and then again for the way home, which made everything even more frustrating and expensive. This company showed no respect, no honesty, and no responsibility. They wasted my time, my money, and caused a lot of stress.

Nobody should trust this company with a booking. They are dishonest, rude, and completely unreliable. I strongly recommend that no one goes there.

Bait and switch, total disappointment they shove additional charges down your throat or want you to cancel the trip. When you’re at the counter, you already have no choice, but to agree to their foul play.

Absolutely the worst car rental experience I've ever had.

DRIVO added hidden fees, charged me for an "upgrade" that I never requested or agreed to, and then added an extra $100 charge without giving me a clear explanation. On top of that, I was hit with unexpected toll charges that were never properly disclosed. What seemed like an affordable rental turned into a much more expensive bill because of surprise fees.

When I asked about these charges, customer service was unhelpful and couldn't provide a satisfactory explanation. I left feeling misled and frustrated.

I would never recommend DRIVO to anyone. Read every line of the contract carefully and ask for a complete breakdown of every charge before you leave the rental counter. Based on my experience, I will never rent from this company again.

I booked through wisecar.com, believing I was renting from Ace Rentals. In reality, the actual rental company is drivo.com. This wasn’t made clear at booking, and it caused confusion when trying to sort out my reservation.
A few issues to be aware of:
* Misleading booking process – The listing implies you’re renting from Ace Rentals, but drivo.com is the actual operator. This lack of transparency feels deceptive.
* Limited inventory – Vehicle selection was poor.
* Hidden geo-charge fees – They use a geographic charge grid, so if you drive outside the state, you get hit with extra fees that aren’t clearly disclosed upfront.
* Restricted footprint – Despite drivo.com claiming affiliation with Ace Rental and Fox, their actual coverage is limited to NY/NJ, meaning you can’t drop off at other locations like you’d expect from a national brand.
* Poor customer service – Both customer service and management were unhelpful when I tried to address these issues.
Overall, this felt like a bait-and-switch: you think you’re booking with a recognizable name, but end up with a smaller company with limited service and hidden fees. I’d recommend booking directly with a major rental company to avoid this kind of confusion.

DON’T USE THEM!!!! I have been trying to get my security deposit back from them for MONTHS!! And on top of that, the car I rented didn’t have working A/C. Worst car rental experience ever

My recent rental experience with Drivo Rent-A-Car at their Newark location was an absolute nightmare from start to finish.

First, they provided zero instructions on how to access their airport shuttle. We were left stranded at the airport and had to pay $50 out of pocket for an Uber just to reach the rental lot to pick up our car.

The 2024 Chevy Malibu they gave us was in terrible mechanical shape. It made a strange, unsettling noise the entire trip, and I felt genuinely unsafe driving it on the road with my daughter.

To make matters worse, the drop-off process was completely dishonest. An employee named Bob attempted to scam me by claiming I was responsible for scratches that were already on the vehicle. He only backed down when I pulled out my phone and showed him time-stamped photographic proof from the day of pick-up showing the pre-existing damage.

Between the unsafe vehicles, the lack of basic communication, and the staff trying to pull a fast one on customers with fake damage claims, this place is not worth the headache. Save your money and rent from a reputable company!

We rented a car for a weekend near LaGuardia airport. They charged us $200 security deposit even though we took the insurance. We dropped the car off in perfect condition. The security deposit was never credited. I had to open a claim with my credit card to get my money back. Stay away from this company!

I rented a car from Drivo in Tangier. The staff member was unfriendly, rude, and unprofessional. I was told the car had GPS, but it didn’t.

I asked for permission to drive into Ceuta for just a few hours, but my request was refused.

When I returned the car at the airport, I explained that the last petrol stations I had passed had run out of diesel. I offered to pay for the missing fuel, but the staff member responded in a rude and sarcastic manner.

To make matters worse, I was then told I had to pay because the car was not washed. I have rented cars in many countries and have never been asked to return a rental car washed.

I will never rent from Drivo again.

Avoid renting from this place. I frequently travel across multiple states and visit New York once a month, and this is undoubtedly the worst rental agency I’ve ever encountered. They fail to maintain the rental car properly, and upon returning, you’ll be subjected to additional charges and fees. There’s a reason why there 2 stars on Better Business Bureau

Affreux, c’était une véritable arnaque, il faut en sorte de vous mettre au pied du mur pour pouvoir vous charger de l’argent. En plus ils prennent n’importe quel prétexte pour ça comme le fait d’avoir une carte de débit pour vous charger 100 € en plus je fais référence à Imane à l’aéroport de Marrakech. Ils sont affreux à fuir.

First, I did not receive the vehicle with a full gas tank, yet I was expected to return the vehicle with a full gas tank, or else be charged for this. When I brought this to the company rep's attention upon return of the vehicle, they just brushed me off and moved on. Second, they took a $200 deposit on my card, which is common practice; however, the $200 was not returned until 21 business days (basically one full month) after the car was returned. I never experienced this at any other car rental company. Finally, note that this rental company at JFK is off site and not where the other car rental companies are at JFK. This added an additional 45 minutes to my trip to get the vehicle and an additional 30 minutes upon return of my vehicle.

Failed to return my deposit after 28 days and now have to wait 120 days as I have to do a charge back with the credit card company very disappointed will not be using them again

You charged me 130 for insurance up front. Then another 100 when I got there. Why could you not be honest about the total insurance costs. 230 for 10 days. Way too much for insurance. I had my insurance cert w me but you would not take it. Very underhanded.

They sell through Hotwire, then DO NOT honor the actual reservation. I reserved and paid Hotwire for TWO day rental. Ace (Drivo) charged me late fee when i returned the car two hours into the srcond day.

Besies, cars are old and beat up. The AC wasn't working properly.

My experience with Drivo JFK was a complete disaster.

First, they refused to accept the "Full Coverage" insurance I bought through EconomyBookings due to their own corporate dispute, forcing me to buy their much more expensive on-site policy.

Second, they directly CHARGED a $200 security deposit to my credit card instead of placing a standard pre-authorization hold. They only issued a refund after I sent a furious complaint email over a week after returning the car.

Third, they lied on the rental contract, marking the fuel level as "Full" when it was short by a notch. Since I returned it full, I paid out of pocket for their missing fuel. When confronted, their Team Leader "Steve" sent an unapologetic reply claiming they don't guarantee a full tank—despite it being printed on their own contract.

Shady billing, fraudulent documentation, and arrogant customer service. Avoid this company at all costs.
