Nobody wants to complete a speed awareness course, however having completed one today with David Holmes who was very professional and informative. I have been given answers to questions I have been asking myself for a while regarding the speed on various roads. I have driven up to a mile in the West Midlands without seeing a speed sign, and could never understand the 'Street Lamp Rule' which incidentally does not exist. Glad you cleared this up David. The course was well paced and allowed people to ask questions, everything was explained clearly.
You're made to feel like these courses are a punishment but it makes you realise we are all responsible for keeping our roads safe and the knowledge you gain is well worthwhile.
I have taken a lot away from the course today, Thank You! :)

Having agreed to attend a speed awareness course after being caught driving at 26 mph in a 20 mph zone.
In a professional way the tutors made me aware of what the result could have been in the event of an accident.
Having passed my driving test 60 years ago i also learnt a lot regarding various street limits, etc.
The tutors, Peter and Simon were very professional with a down to earth attitude
Since being sceptical prior to the course i would now fully recommend it

The course is quite enjoyable and very informative. It was delivered brilliantly in my case and has changed how I approach driving

This course was one of the best and I certainly learnt a lot from the course managers.

Found the course very informative and I really enjoyed doing it, everybody was friendly and the trainer but us all at ease. Nobody was judged, it was a totally enjoyable experience.

A good refresher course in speed awareness. Well worth doing even without the need to avoid points. A wake-up call!
(However,much more expensive than expected at £100.)

An excellent course and well worth the investment of 3 hours of my time.

Great experience - enthusiastic teaching delivered by expert. Our session was done by Pat. Can appreciate the expertise and was even given some more info that he wasn’t quite sure on after the break which demonstrated great care. Respectfully never want to partake again for obvious reasons.

Well mannered well turned out and well chosen professionals

I do zoom meetings weekly but logging on through my laptop was near impossible even though I downloaded the team app !
Then tried on my phone , the first guy said we were too late for the meeting and needed to rebook !
A couple of weeks later same problem on the laptop !
I logged on fine on my iphone but the guy said HE would be back in 5 mins and I never saw him again! To cut a long storey I could not get a full refund to book a local in person meeting
Drive tech in person was an hour and a half away drive away ! So needed to book through another agent
No way would I recommend drive tech because of the palarva plus not full refund , there are other options to go with 🤷‍♀️

Good course, I would recommend them

Frankly the best training session I have ever encountered. Trainers were both excellent, delivering a broad range of critical information through a series of interactive exercises. Before we were 10 minutes into the course, I realised there was a great deal I had either forgotten or perhaps never learned about the mechanics of road safety as well as the societal responsibility getting behind the wheel of a car. It was interesting and fun, but importantly, I believe I learned something.

The trainers were extremely welcoming & professional. It was a real learning experience as opposed to a punishment (speed awareness course). We were treated very respectfully and the course was interesting & informative.

Excellent training course, professionally given by Linda via Teams. I would recommend this course, there have been lots of highway code changes since passing my test, and I leant lots.

Very informative but entertaining at the same time. I was dreading going but ended up enjoying the experience. It also brought me up to date with modern driving.

Great experience. Did the speed awareness course yesterday with Ralph. He is very knowledgeable and patient. He used humour effectively. Great job!

Absolutely appalling experience with DriveTech.

I took the day off work specifically to attend this course and followed all of the instructions provided to join the Teams meeting. The instructor, Paul, initially appeared on screen, checked my driving licence and verified my identity. He then told me to log out and log back in.

I did exactly as I was instructed.

After logging back in, the instructor simply didn't return. I logged in and out several times, restarted my device and did everything I could to resolve the issue. I then sat waiting for over an hour, taking screenshots throughout to document the time I was left waiting.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that I had already successfully connected with the instructor and had my identity checked. This wasn't a case of me failing to follow the joining instructions — I followed them and then followed the instructor's own instructions.

I've lost a day's work to attend this course and have been left sitting around for over an hour through no fault of my own.

I contacted DriveTech expecting them to take responsibility and resolve the situation, but instead I was left feeling as though I was the problem and that I somehow hadn't followed the procedure correctly.

This is an incredibly poor way to treat someone who has taken time off work, paid for a course and done exactly what they were instructed to do.

If this is how DriveTech handles technical problems during its courses, I'd seriously question the standard of service being provided. Very disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable.

Great course. I was thinking it was going to be boring, but it was very informative. I learnt so much. It was delivered very well. Would highly recommend
