Director racks up debts then changes…
Director racks up debts then changes company name so isn't then liable for debts....uses local companies to you then doesn't pay them. Is now working under the name bound2impress......wonder for how long.....

Date of experience 2020-present. Dorset Showhomes or whom ever they've become are crooks. They left the resin bound driveway and block edging damaged and unbedded.
Disappointed!
Patio laid in Oct 2023; very pleased and initially gave a 5* review. However, in June of this year I had trouble with a blocked private drain. 2 separate companies said it was highly probable the damage was accidentally caused when patio was laid. Although I realised this would not be covered under the guarantee, I did think it may be covered under DSH public liability insurance. However, on trying to contact them, I found the company had been dissolved. Obviouslly, I wanted to know where I stood with the 10 year guarantee.
I subsequently found out (in a email from the director) that the business has changed its name to Bound2Impress but that it’s a completely separate company and nothing to do with DSH. Strange though my initial 5* review had been transferred to the new company website and amended - very misleading and totally dishonest.
My drain was fixed via my own insurance company but no doubt this will affect my premiums going forwards.
In an article in the Dorset Echo, the director said he would be writing to customers with insurance backed guarantees. In that report he also explained the reasons for having to dissolve the company and admits he’s had to put right lots of works - all the more important for me to want a guarantee - is there a fault with the resin? I contacted the director on 10 July via the suggested email: closure@ dorsetshowhomes.com and he informed me he would expedite my insurance backed guarantee. Despite chasing, I still have not received this. I don’t believe a word he says.
I feel really disappointed in this company and could not recommend them - under any name he wishes to trade. After sales service is just as important as the product.
Companies House shows that this director has many companies- both active and dissolved. I only wish I knew this earlier.

Significant cracks appeared in our driveway. Had dates for Dorset Showhomes to come and dig out, repair, and re-resin the entire drive. The notification form I completed to get to this was a Dorset Showhomes and Innex Ltd. one. The guarantee was just in the name of Dorset Showhomes. There is a document Certificate of Incorporation on change of name, 23rd April 2024, showing Dorset Showhomes & innex Ltd changed name to Innex Resin Bound Solutions Ltd. Cannot find a contact number so will be visiting. Also, going to respond to Echo as we are out of pocket, and contact Matt Alright if get no response. Anyone else fancy 5 mins of fame and a chance of a resolution?

Would be zero stars were that an option. Clearly have decided to declare bankruptcy to avoid the costs of repairs for shoddy work etc. The concrete they mixed for the blockwork reminds me of the Sadly broke housing estate fiasco ouside Bristol, when I lived and worked there. One bag of cement per house built, if you were lucky! It chips off if caught with a hand fork whilst gardening...
I was due a repair on the 18th June, but discovered whilst waiting that the firm had ceased trading. How are these crooks allowed to behave like this, leaving shoddy work unrepaired and the customer with a bill they shouldn't have to cover when they are forced to engage another company. I trust someone will flag the new company name on here and warn folks to avoid like the plague.

How do I contact Dorset Homes? I have been trying since 23rd April, when they stopped replying to my e-mails and I couldn't get through on the 'pnone. They are supposed to be repairing the side of my resin drive for the third time. Have they gone out of business?
Bad customer service, seen money-oriented.
I didn't go through with the booking because I was too disappointed with their customer service even before we'd reached that stage. For reference, I believe they are currently in the process of changing their company name, again.
They cold-called to ask if they could quote for a driveway and actually, yes, I was looking for a new driveway but that I'd had a quote from a company previously and it was £5000 - £7500 depending on the options we chose. I explained that I have a disabled son and in terms of finance, I am essentially a single parent so that was way out of my reach financially. I said I couldn't go over £2000-£3000 tops so unless they were pretty sure they would come in less than that, I wouldn't want to waste their time (and mine). The man on the phone said 'I can't promise to get that low but hopefully it won't be far off!' I suggested they looked at Google maps to give them a rough idea of the size and shape ahead of time.
The week they suggested to come and look, I was very sick and stuck in bed for a few days, but my boyfriend dealt with it and set up an appointment, telling them that he could receive the quotation, and then just talk it through with me afterwards.
So with that, the chap comes and spends an hour doing the sales spiel (gotta be quick, won't find a better price, there are others interested etc 🙄). For basic resin, he quoted us £13,500. Our driveway is tiny! He said if we would like to be a show home for them in this area (a sign out front, people coming to view the property, us doing various reviews (to their liking), etc then he could discount it to £10,500 but we'd need to be quick as he was also visiting another customer nearby and if they chose to become the show home, we'd lose that opportunity. He talked about payment plans and credit etc but genuinely didn't seem to understand that it was so over the budget I had explained on the telephone.
When my boyfriend told me the price I was so annoyed. I understand that companies can't quote without seeing a job, but surely they would have an inkling from Google maps whether or not they'll be under £3000? It felt like they ignored what I said and just wanted to get a foot in the door so they could talk me into a sale. I have a disabled son and I am considered vulnerable myself due to the strong medication I have to take for a medical condition.
I texted the company thank you for coming but it was way out of our price range. I said I hadn't wanted to waste my time or theirs, and that I had specifically spent quite a bit of time explaining that a previous quote for £5-7K was way too much and giving them my budget. They knew what I could afford before they came. I wish they had listened when I told them (several times) I had a strict budget. The tirade I received back was a bit of a shock, and to me, it showed that they don't really care about the customer, just the sale. My partner didn't say it was what he expected, he said he had no knowledge of the industry and didn't know what to expect. He felt very put on the spot and awkward. This put me off them and even if I won the lottery I wouldn't let them pave an inch of my driveway!
Their reply to me:
"Hi there, with all due respect. How can we possibly know in advance if we are more or less expensive than anyone else until we have seen what’s involved and surveyed the job? Only at that point can we price what’s involved. When I asked your partner what he thought of the price his response was that it was around where he expected. That being the case, if he knew what the price was going to be and that you couldn’t afford it then why did you bother booking the appointment in the first place?
You clearly haven’t been put out as you remained in bed throughout and couldn’t even take the time to be present for my presentation.
I consider that personally to be extremely rude.
And to clarify, the only time who has been wasted here is my own, after travelling for 2 hours and then presenting the product and then another 2 hours to get back home if anybody should be complaining it should be me.
I recommend that you do not book appointments for something that you know you clearly can’t afford in the first place.

I'm not saying their product is bad, I couldn't say either way, but I definitely wouldn't recommend them based on the quality of their customer service and would be worried what I would have to deal with if something did go wrong. I didn't 'book an appointment for something I knew I couldn't afford', when I spoke to them I clearly said I'd only do the appointment if they would be roughly 2 to 3 thousand - the onus was on them to decide if that was realistic or not and whether to come. The fact that they did, made me think it was feasible. How would I know any different!
You need to look at companies house
You need to look at companies house, the company is showing as a dormant company, the director has lots of other companies in his name, Innex Home Improvements is one, if you click on people it will show you what other companies he holds. Another one is INNEX RESIN BOUND SOLUTIONS LTD all at the same address, not sure if we can claim anything back directly from him. We had a patio completed only back in August 2023, the work men came with no plans and the finish was rubbish, they were supposed to come back on 13th May to complete remedial works after speaking to them in April, but as you are all aware the number is no longer available. For anyone out there do not deal with the director or any of his associated businesses. What i have learned is check companies house before using any company, I have learnt my lesson

I have been waiting over a month for a reply to my after service request for repairs and have heard nothing. The phone lines don't work and the website is down. Do not use this company as this is the second time I had to request repairs in the 18 months since the driveway was done.

I want to find out if this company has ceased trading? The website is not working neither of the ctc telephone numbers are working.The mobile number of the cowboy that sold us the drive is dead.
I have an issue with the drive they installed and when I complained at the beginning of April I was told that samples had been taken and sent for analysis to the manufacturer which would take 21 days to get an answer. Have not been able to contact them since this time.

Had our drive finished today and we love it! It looks amazing, the men who came were punctual, polite and hard working, they communicated well with us and were very professional throughout. Highly recommend this company.

Thanks for the reply. Where is the customer service? You phoned offering a discount on further works. I mentioned the problem with the drive you laid last year and waited for someone to phone back. I waited a month then phoned, explaining the problem to a lady in the office. She eventually phoned back to say they would do the repair but I would have to pay for it. Did you ask for a photo,did you come to inspect the holes? Where are you?
The Cornus Kousa tree is a small tree not a shrub. The berries are large cherry size and hard.
Your workmen worked by the tree brushing against it.

We are over the moon with our new drive! A pain to do, as it was so steep & curved at top. Most vehicles bottomed out, so couldn't get on it. Not any more thanks to these guys. A 5* job at a good price. They take pride in their work, ensure customer happy at every stage, leaving site neat & clean.
