Had the most amazing experience at doll 10. Had hair and makeup done by Mike and nails done by Lonni. From stepping into the salon I was treated very well by everyone I came across. Fantastic experience. Makeup and nails are totally amazing.

I have previously been a regular here for years and spoke very highly and recommended doll beauty to many people, however this time when I went I asked for my hair to be dyed a semi permanent medium brown with no red with it. The lady who was training mixed up the hair dye, did not speak to me during but said things out loud not directed to me which were rude such as ‘ohh her hair is thin and knotty bless her’ (this was when putting hair dye on my hair without brushing it first). When the hair dye was applied she left a big strand over my face and it was leaving marks, I asked her to remove it as I was attending a wedding the next day and I don’t want hair dye staying on my face. She reluctantly after a while went to get me a tissue and gave it to me and said ‘you can do it as my hands are messy’. She still did not move the hair in my face that had hair dye on it. When I left my top had hair dye all down the back of it because she left my hair hanging down on my top, I asked her to move it at the time and she said ‘your hair is heavy so it won’t stay up anyway just leave it.’ I was not offered a hot drink, in the end I asked another staff member for this and one was brought over. I complained on the day about these things and I think it was around £30 taken off the price and a free lip gloss given. I needed to leave then as my child and husband had been waiting for me in the car, however my hair I realised was very dark. I went home and my husband told me my hair was black. I put my hair next to his (his hair is jet black) and it was the same colour. I had to attend a wedding the next day and people kept commenting and couldn’t believe I had dyed my hair ‘black’. The hair dye took 4 washes for all of the hair dye to stop coming out in the shower. I tried to lift the colour myself in a gentle way at home but it remained black so after a few days I called back to ask them to help me sort it out. They told me to call back in 3 weeks if the colour had not got lighter. I have now called 4 times to get someone to book me in an appointment to strip and colour my hair to rectify this situation and still no one has contacted me back. I keep being told ‘I will get the manager to call you back’ or ‘I will call you back’. It has now been 6 weeks on, my hair is still very dark brown which washes me out, I have been washing it many times with harsh products to attempt to reduce the colour myself.

I am really disappointed. I have given 6 weeks to give grace and time for this situation to be sorted without posting a negative review, however this is quite awful and I feel people need to be aware of how much this place has changed.

Unfortunately I can’t find where to attach photos but I wish I could to show the state of my top, the colour of my hair etc.

I would not recommend doll beauty for blow drys. They have very young, unqualified staff who gave me the worst blow dry and then tried to correct it with straighteners. I had to leave before my hair was completely burnt.

I got my hair and makeup done for prom by Claudia and Katie and they both did amazing jobs and made me feel so welcome. I could have never done my hair and makeup so good and from start to finish of my appointment felt so good thankyou!! x

Booking fee to third party (Phorest) when booked through Doll HQ website, on top of payment for service.

Could not find any information on parking at the salon at the time of booking. Parking spaces quite limited. Conscious of parking restrictions which made what should have been a relaxing nail appointment somewhat stressful.

Nail technician did a lovely job and was pleasant, however the above issues have put me off going back.

I've had two microneedling sessions with Stacey and can not recommend enough! The treatment is not only amazing, but I can't thank Stacey enough as she makes the whole experience so relaxing. A true professional too, always there to remind me about aftercare (as I always forget!) and full of tips for great skin.

Highly Recommended Doll Beauty. Very easy to book on their online booking system. I had my make done by Steph and Hair by Jessica, I was absolutely made up with the end result. Both girls were absolutely lovely, as was every other member of staff I spoke to. The salon had a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I will definitely be back again.

Have been getting Hydra Facials with Stacey on and off for a few years now and I always feel so much better after having one. Stacey is very professional and also gives me great tips every visit to support with my skin care routine.

Massage and facial for Mothers Day. My husband booked this for me as a treat, and wow - what a lovely treat it was. Stacey is incredible at pin pointing the knots and working through them nicely, felt I was walking on air coming back out! My facial today was doll to glow, which it definitely was - my face has been super dry recently (heating, weather, age!) and nothing seemed to bring it back to life. I left Doll glowing this afternoon and still glowing now tonight! Wish I could give Stacey more than 5*****! Thanks Doll!

Timing of appointment and stylist changed (15 mins later than I had booked for), without my knowledge as I was tight on time they kindly had another stylist wash my hair so I was ready for when the stylist I was booked with had finished with the customer prior. Not sure what shampoo and conditioner was used but my hair was very dry making it hard to comb through and no heat protection or product was used pre dry. Although left looking okay, once the curls dropped it was a mess and looked wooly and in poor condition. Booked to save myself time on getting ready as I was out that evening for a special occasion but unfortunately I wish I’d done it myself and saved the money. Had to wash my hair the next morning to get hydration back in.

I feel my hair cut was rushed- I’ve had problems styling it since and my layers look like a big block of hair that just stick out when my hair is cut I’m so unhappy and so disappointed

The salon is such a lovely and welcoming place . I had a full head of high lights from the amazing faith with a cut and blow dry to finish. I am more than pleased with the result I’ve never been so happy with my hair. Thank you so much. 100%recommend.

I had Babs for a cut and blow dry and she was great, she uses amazing products and makes you feel so comfortable the whole time. Would really recommend booking with her if your after a good blow dry xx

First time visiting Doll and the first time I have had my hair and make up done for an event. My make up by Ben was on point, he explained everything to me and checked at several points what I wanted, even though he is the professional! I then went to Amy for hair up with the idea of wanting it ‘big’ Amy showed me some ideas and I went with her advice, absolutely exceeded my expectations and left feeling a million dollars! Highly recommended and I will definitely return for hair and makeup at Doll HQ xx
