Had to add at least one star just to get in, went to Dobbies Gloucester for dinner today for a meal with my mother whose in a wheelchair, there's an offer on this month between January 2 through to January 26, 2 main courses for £20, we went into the restaurant and waited in the side to queue for the restaurant, one of Dobbies staff asked politely if she could get past, another looked at us and went to clear the tables, after waiting another couple of minutes another member of staff came over and said the kitchen was closed due to staff shortages, why did it take for the third member of staff to say it was closed, next time Dobbies have an offer on food it must be because they have to close due to staff shortages and with a bit of look staff shortages will end when the offers end?

shopping OK but a very long queue in cafe so went home!

A big thank you to Matthew Urbanowicz the store manager at Gloucester who ensured that he acquired a replacement light control part for my faulty pre lit Christmas tree. He went out of his way to find and ship in a replacement in good time. Great customer service!

My wife and I visited the Gloucester Dobbies on the 10/12 the service at the till was very slow there were 2 youngsters one serving the other a young girl making the drinks both were very polite but neither seemed interested in what they were doing a total lack of enthusiasm we frequently visit The new Tewkesbury Dobbies where the service and cleanliness is far superior to that of Gloucester also I find it hard to believe I had to wait 10 minutes to have a sausage roll warmed up

My partner and I popped into Dobbies in Gloucester for a quick cuppa and toasted tea cake. There was a queue of 8 people and one member of staff serving so a long wait was had. The sofas were disgusting, covered with food stains and the floor was covered in food also. Sadly we had been there a few years ago and it had been the same. In contrast, we've recently visited the Tewkesbury store which is new and Cirencester which has been revamped and both were clean and well staffed. The moral here is avoid Gloucester!

Tables in the cafe need clearing and cleaning. Nowhere to place empty trays/used crockery to try to help. Floors dirty, chairs filthy. Massive queues, moving very slowly. Lots of complaints in the queue, people leaving. No vegan cakes/sandwiches

Had coffee in coffee shop. There was a long queue and only one lad serving. When we sat down it was impossible to find a clean seat! They are all stained, so need replacing asap.

We had coffee and scones in the coffe shop. Excellent service, and lovely coffee and scones with cream and jam.1/12/23

Never enough staff behind restaurant till!! 1 person taking orders, money and making, massive queues as usual!! Poor lady behind counter!!

The staff is very kind & professional, she helped me to refund an item which is out of order. Thank you.

The staff were really friendly and helpful plus customer service from the staff here was excellen, looking forward to visiting again 😊

Went for breakfast, waited 40 minutes. Arrived cold, the fried egg was like a boiled egg. It was tasteless.
Visiting the toilet before I left, they were shocking. Absolutely filthy, the smell was horrendous. Toilet seats were broken.
It is such a shame because the store is so well presented.

Lack of staff in the restaurant.Long queues. Service very slow. Tables were not cleared or cleaned. Never see management around to support staff. Drinks not always hot.
Other Dobbies branches more efficient.

Visited Dobbies at Haresfield, Glos this morning. The queue for coffee was very slow. Either they need more coffee machines or more staff to progress the queue more swiftly. We queued for 30 minutes until we were finally served, but as the assistant got the order wrong she had to start again. Hopeless!. Despite this underwhelming start to our visit, the garden centre itself is excellent, however, the cafe manager really does need to get a grip and sort this shambles out

Currently sat in the restaurant of your Gloucester branch. I feel like we have commited a crime against your staff. They seem to hate us. I am not being over dramatic or a Karen. The service is awful. The staff seem depressed. Their attitudes towards us are like that of a jailor towards the most despicable inmates.

We were going to have lunch, but after the hassle attitude and disrespect of the staff we just let the kids eat and left as soon as they had finished.

We were also planning on buying a number of items from the shop, but this experience put us off and we will spend our money somewhere else.

There isn’t enough staff serving refreshments I just wanted my two coffees the que was nearly out of the restaurant one member of staff was working her socks off another seemed to be doing very little why is there so little staff we are getting fed up with this so sometimes we I don’t bother getting my coffees

Lovely healthy plants. Clean surroundings. All plants well watered and cared for. Very tasty cakes and scones. Good experience all-around.
