Fantastic unforgettable memories from this Kenya Tanzania migration tour!

Great for all accommodations, game drives and meals.

We booked our honeymoon through Discover Africa, which included three stages, including three nights at Kambaku Safari Lodge in Timbavati. Overall, this was a very expensive trip. Let's be factual: for the first and third legs, the contract was respected to the letter and the travel itinerary matched reality perfectly. However, for Kambaku Safari Lodge (sold and cataloged as a 4-star establishment), it was a succession of disappointments, with deplorable crisis management and customer service.
​Accommodation scam and lack of security: Upon arrival, we were placed in a communicating room with the connecting door locked, reducing us to a tiny room, completely unsuitable for a honeymoon. After complaining and emailing the agency (Vihann), we were moved to a family room. On site, the lodge manager confirmed the existence of the actual "Honeymoon Suite" that the agency had sold us and written into our official travel itinerary... except it was occupied by a British couple! The agency is now trying to hide behind an initial global quote to deny its own travel itinerary. On top of that, the rooms do not lock from the outside, leaving our personal belongings unprotected, while the provided safe is too tiny to fit even a tablet.
​Unsanitary room, unsafe water, and abandoned facilities: The replacement room had numerous dysfunctions: unacceptable bathrooms, a clogged shower causing a pool of water, a cracked sink siphon (causing leaks and a moldy smell), leaky faucets with no pressure, and hot water running out after three minutes. Despite our reports, technical intervention was limited to a superficial cleanup with no actual repairs. Regarding health, the lodge supposedly provided "filtered water" in dispensers, but we witnessed them simply being refilled without being replaced. As a result, I ended up getting sick from this water. When I asked for sealed bottled water to take my medication, I was simply told there was none. Outside, the pool was unmaintained and very dirty. The agency tried to blame this on a gust of wind, even though the pool stayed in this state throughout our stay, only being cleaned in a rushed way on our last day, curiously right after we took photos.
​Catering not matching the standards: Our official travel itinerary clearly stipulated that the package included three full meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Instead, there was no actual lunch, just a minimal "brunch" with very few choices. Regarding the hot dishes of the brunch, they consisted of recycled leftovers from the previous day, such as yesterday's ostrich steak turned into shepherd's pie. Services fell far below what was expected of a 4-star lodge.
​The fake last-night "upgrade": For our last night, we were "upgraded" to Kambaku River Sands, presented as a special gesture from the agency. The reality was quite different: our previous family room was already booked for new guests arriving that day. The lodge simply had no other alternative.
​Deficient customer support and agency contempt: The Wi-Fi in the room was so faulty that it was unusable, forcing us to try and catch data out in the bush during our game drives to try and resolve issues. Despite our explicit requests to be called via WhatsApp for efficient communication, the agency never bothered to call us, hiding behind emails with replies spaced several hours apart. On site, we were told to "enjoy the rest of our trip peacefully" with the promise that everything would be sorted out upon our return. Result? Upon our return, the management completely took the lodge's side, flatly rejecting our word, denying the facts despite the evidence, and trying to pass off our forced room change as a gift.
​In short: If you use an agency, it is precisely to be protected and supported when things go wrong. Instead, we felt completely abandoned on site, and then looked down upon and contradicted upon our return. Given this complete lack of support and professionalism, I can only recommend that you use another agency.

We initially felt quite overwhelmed by the number of different tours, lodges and options available when planning an African adventure, so we decided to speak with Discover Africa to help us create a memorable trip. We are so glad we did!

Chrizaan took the time to listen to what we wanted from our trip and then put together an incredible itinerary that gave us a real taste of Africa and some experiences we will never forget. From the different safari lodges and game drives to Victoria Falls, the trip offered such a wonderful variety of experiences. Some were absolute highlights and created memories that will stay with us for a lifetime.

Everything from the flights and transfers to the accommodation and activities was organised so efficiently. For someone who experiences a lot of anxiety when travelling, having everything organised and knowing there was someone who knew our itinerary and could help if needed was incredibly comforting.

Of course, with a trip this big and complicated, we did encounter a few hiccups along the way. What made such a difference was knowing that Chrizaan was only a quick phone call away. She was always helpful, responsive and quick to assist in resolving anything that came up, which gave us great peace of mind while we were travelling.

We would absolutely recommend Discover Africa to anyone wanting to organise a trip to Africa, and particularly Chrizaan. She took our ideas, hopes and vision for the trip and turned them into an incredible reality.

The trip itself was remarkable, offering a wide variety of locations and experiences to make our exposure to Africa and safaris an excellent and exciting opportunity. The guides were knowledgeable and had a network of other local guides with whom to connect so that they could always lead us to sites where animals were present. The lodges were comfortable and well furnished and the meals were well-prepared and tasty. The staff were friendly and always interacting with us. Altogether a wonderful experience!!

We booked our 10-day safari in Tanzania and Kenya through Discover Africa, and it exceeded every expectation. From our first conversation through the end of our journey, everything was exceptionally well organized, allowing us to focus entirely on enjoying the experience.

We had a lot of questions, compared multiple itinerary options, and made several adjustments along the way. Bianca always provided thoughtful recommendations, explained the tradeoffs, and never made us feel rushed. Her expertise was invaluable in building an itinerary that perfectly matched what we were looking for.

Every transfer, flight, and accommodation was seamlessly coordinated. We never had to worry about logistics, and everything ran exactly as planned.

The itinerary itself was phenomenal. We experienced Cape Town, Victoria Falls, Tanzania, and Kenya, culminating in an unforgettable safari where we witnessed the Great Migration, saw the Big Five, and had incredible wildlife encounters throughout. The accommodations Discover Africa selected were all excellent, each offering something unique while consistently delivering outstanding hospitality and service.

What impressed us most was that Discover Africa didn’t simply book hotels and flights. They helped craft an experience. The pacing of the trip, the choice of camps, and the routing between destinations all came together to create a vacation we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.

Justin took great care to make sure we had the best possible experience in Kruger NP and we are so grateful.
Through the booking process we were looking at several options and he patiently guided us through the alternatives but ultimately encouraged us to select the itinerary that would give us the best chance of seeing the cats that were on the bucket list.
Even when we had some minor hiccups with things such as delayed flights he was a quick WhatsApp message away and was always very supportive.

I have just returned from my third African safari organised by Discover Africa, and once again Susan did an outstanding job of planning every detail.
The journey began at my favourite destination, Kruger National Park, where the wildlife experiences were as memorable as ever. From there, I travelled to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, an awe-inspiring destination. The microlight flight over the falls was simply unforgettable, offering breathtaking views and an experience I'll never forget.
The final leg of the trip took me to Elephant Valley Lodge in Botswana, where the game drives in Chobe National Park were exceptional. The afternoon cruise on the Chobe River provided a completely different perspective on the incredible wildlife, making for a perfect conclusion to the safari.
This was another outstanding holiday, and I have no doubt that my fourth trip to the African continent will also be organised by Discover Africa.

I researched many Africa tours but could not find an itinerary that did exactly what I wanted to do. I contacted Discover Africa to see if they might be able to help. Bianca was terrific. She listened to what I wanted to do and put together a perfect itinerary. She offered a couple of different "camp" options at each stop along the way. She put the whole thing together and helped me work to a price point I was comfortable with. The entire trip went flawlessly. I was very impressed with Bianca and Discover Africa.

My wife and I and two of our friends took this trip which covered South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. The trip was customized based on our needs and our tour Manager/ Coordinator, Vihann, planned and executed with such ease and precision, I cannot think of anything to say that would make our experience any better. Everything went like clockwork and we never had to worry about anything at all. He was also very flexible with last minute changes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Was just awesome, pre service to service and after service, just great. At the lodge, the staff had a special bday party for my son who turned 16. The drives were awesome too....

We live in Australia and I honestly didn’t know who to contact about organising a trip of a lifetime and I really wanted someone that knew Africa and not someone that was from Australia and just guessed. I found Discover Africa on TikTok and got in touch with Justin and my gosh I am so beyond happy we did! He was amazing from day one. He answered all my questions even the ones I felt were a bit silly to ask but it was no problem at all. He was beyond fantastic! There are no words that I explain what Justin did for us and the experience he has given us that will remain with us for a lifetime. The itinerary was incredible with some extras he booked that I wouldn’t even of thought about! He organised everything from transfers to accommodation flights to a sunset cruise that were all beyond amazing! We will never ever be able to thank you enough Justin but if you live anywhere in the world and want to have an experience of a lifetime then book with Justin from Discover Africa!!!

My husband and I started planning our Safari in Sept to go in May. Vihann at Discover Africa was wonderful!! He setup a video call on our timeline to ask what we wanted and actually listened. He came up with a plan that we agreed to and the rest was easy. All of our accommodations were exactly as promised, flights and transfers all went off without a hitch, so we had nothing to worry about the whole time just a wonderful experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Can not think of one negative comment to add.

From the very beginning, Bianca was a wonderful help in planning our South African safari. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and thoughtful recommendations made our trip truly exceptional.

Becks Safari Lodge was, in our group’s opinion, a six-star experience. The attention to detail throughout the property, in our luxurious rooms, during every meal, and on the game drives was simply impeccable. Every aspect exceeded our expectations.

There were so many standout moments, but for me, the most memorable was the way the staff came together to celebrate my friend’s birthday. From the delicious cake they prepared to their beautiful singing voices that sounded like angels, it was a heartfelt experience that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

Bianca also recommended that we spend three nights in Franschhoek, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our South African adventure. It was a perfect recommendation.

We cannot thank Bianca enough for helping create such an unforgettable holiday, and we will definitely book through her again on our next visit to South Africa.

Discover Africa helped me in all the planning of my trip which was great! I got help from them since the beginning and we had the option to talk about the trip, what I was looking for, etc through zoom meetings, which was really good. Recommendations from lodges were fine, and they found the perfect option for me. The only thing that I recommend is that they need to ensure that the airport that they choose is the closest option to the lodge; in my case they book flights from Hoedspruit which is 2 hours 30 minutes driving from the lodge. When I arrived there I found out that there was another airport which was closer to the lodge (less than 1 hour).

Chrizaan was wonderful. She took our requests to heart and created a once in a lifetime trip for us. The transportation was arranged flawlessly and the Safaris were breathtaking. We saw so much and did so much but it didn’t feel rushed. I would recommend Chrizaan 100%. It was a truly amazing trip.

Going to south and central Africa was a bucket list item for me and booking a big and expensive trip always feels a bit risky and you hope you have made the right choice. Booking with Discover Africa was fantastic from beginning to end! Our trip coordinator, Susan Veldman, was very responsive whenever we had questions or concerns and she checked in with us throughout the trip to make sure things were going smoothly. I especially appreciated the video call with her prior to leaving. It was really great to be able to ask any remaining questions and she provided us with all the information we would need once we were there. The whole trip was seamless, from our transfers to the flights to the camps. I was particularly impressed with Desert and Delta Safaris, the company who ran the camps in Botswana. The accommodations, food and staff were incredible! I would highly recommend booking with Discover Africa and I would book with them again if I decided to return.

This is the second safari holiday we have used Dev to organise. We had the privilege of visiting three beautiful lodges on this trip, Devs recommendations in three different locations, Sabi Sands, Timbavati, and Makalali , which entailed a lot of organising with pick up and drop by road, each of which was flawless almost to the minute.
First stop was Sabi Sands were we saw the big five within 30 minutes, Unbelievable! Next stop was Timbavati known for the possibility of seeing the rare white Lion, second day out we saw the white Lion cub, ( one of three in the world so we were told ) a gorgeous dirty little white cub with the pride, once again magic. Next stop was Makalali, Dev had mentioned the possibility of seeing Cheetahs, after a lot experienced tracking and off road driving we came across two magnificent males basking in the sun, unbelievable.
On our last day when due to leave, a Saturday, my wife fell ill and could not travel, one phone call to Dev, he had transfers rearranged, flights cancelled and rebooked, which took all the stress out of a stressful situation.
I cannot Speak highly enough of Dev and Discover Africa.

The trip that was put together by Chrizaan Troch at Discover Africa was amazing. The accommodation was perfect as was the driving experience. This was our third self drive tour in Namibia and it was one of the best. Maps, accommodation, car, support all seamless.
