Booked by phone, received a text message confirmation and pre paid. So simple. The car turned up exactly on time and our driver was absolutely lovely. Such a nice guy and such an interesting life. My husband could have talked to him all night! Smooth drive home. Perfect. Thank you

DG Cars are always on time
DG Cars are always on time. The drivers are helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to dropping you off at hospital entrances or small back streets in the city centre. Thoroughly recommend them.

DG is a fantastic service
DG is a fantastic service, I have used them for airport runs and both short notice calls on a night out. They are so reliable and offer such a great service I would recommend them time and time again.

Great service all round!
On our trip to Nottingham the hotel booked our taxi and we had great service, we used them again for the return trip. On time, easy booking service, pleasant drivers and a good price. We would recommend!

Unreliable and rude- avoid
Booked a cab to meet me at train station in early hours of the morning that did not show but still took my money
Operator then blatantly lied about taxi having waited, no apology or trying to put things right and been told refund will take 5 days
No concern for a single female traveller stranded at night !

Hope you are well.
Thank you for contacting us with your feedback. I am very sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service you received on this occasion. Having looked into your booking I can see that my colleague has advised correctly in his message below. Our driver waited until 00:34 before pulling off following a call from our dispatcher that was not answered.
I am confident that both the driver and the dispatcher have acted in line with all of the company guidelines on this occasion.
I appreciate that late at night customers want to feel safe which is why efforts were made to contact you before the driver pulled off. Ordinarily we request that drivers wait a minimum of 5 minutes after the booking time before marking a booking as a no fare. On this occasion the driver waiting just shy of double this.
Once again, thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that you feel you have not received a service to be happy with this on occasion. If you still feel you would like to take this any further, we will be more than happy to cooperate with licensing regarding this matter.

They used to be reliable. But last two times, after booking using their app in the morning, no one turned up at the appointed time in the evening. The second time, I called the call center and was advised that a car would be with me in 5-7 minutes. That car did not turn up either. A car did turn up (at the wrong address) an hour after my booked time, which was of no use to me.

Recommended taxi company
Driver was 15 minutes late but made it up to me with getting me where I need to be fast. I would recommend them to anyone as I’ve only had one issue in the year I’ve used the company, if you need to be somewhere though I recommend booking the taxi for 10 minutes earlier☺️

Late and poor service
Don’t book if you have to be somewhere to be on time.
Car was 20 mins late even though I pre booked via the app. No one phoned to tell me. So I couldn’t arrange alternative transport. I missed my pre booked train.

Hi James, We haved tried to get in touch using the details provided to confirm some booking details but without success.
Unfortunately we had no cars in the area at the time of your booking, you should have received a phone call from us and i do apologise that this didnt happen.
It is vital that you always give yourself surplus time when making a booking to arrive at any destination. If you have an important appointment, ensure you tell us, so we are aware and advise additional lead time.

Normally we like to advise at least 45 minutes travelling time

My day started bad when I thought I had ordered a dg taxi on my phone app like normal I just happened to check where he was and realised it hadn’t gone through I had an appointment at qmc at 9am it was now 8am panicking I tried to book another eventually they found a driver that driver went above and behind to get me to my appointment the traffic was awful when I got through to qmc I was already late and realised my card wallet didn’t work and had to pay cash I had none the lovely man said just get to your appointment and pay later don’t worry thats what I did the date was may 4 th I was seen at my appointment thanks again

From the moment we receive your booking we work towards sending your car on time. Bookings are sent to the nearest available driver so we can get to you as efficiently as possible. Our drivers arrive on time for 99% of our bookings.
The day you stated you made a booking with us was Eid and we had a lot less drivers working than normal.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused and look forward to giving better service in the future.
