What customer care ?!?
Their branch in Hove, sold my 85 years old mother, sofa, coffee table, chairs and dinning room table at the cost of over 3 grand. Their assistant manager, Andrew had promised delivery of the chairs in two weeks which he subsequently denied !!!
Their call centre in Warrington is staffed by rude, aggressive and damn right incompetent people.
In the meantime Mum cannot move into her downsized accommodation, having sold her house...
The invoices have been paid in full, so that the furniture can be “released from warehouse”, yet nobody could give us a delivery date...!!
Staff like their assistant manager, Andrew, are there to meet their sales targets at all cost, regardless on the impact for their customers. Customer care/ service is an alien concept for DFS.

Had nothing but problems for the last 18 months from new and numerous repairs, which haven't worked. The sofas have even ruined our laminate floor, as the eziglides just fall off, only installed with double sided sticky tape, well worth £60. Finally came to a verbal agreement with store manager then for him to withdrawn. Now only option is to issue court proceedings. Will never use DFS again or recommend.

I have used dfs before so decided to buy from them again. I paid part that day and then decided to add the 5 year spray but wanted an updated recipe for this once I paid in full £1450. I had to continuously chase them for this. Then was told my sofa was sitting in their warehouse by 2 different people and then was told it was not as no one had updated this on the system, also when I bought the sofia sofa L shape, was told by the assistant in the store that it would come with 2 scatter cushions and 2 booster cushions. When it arrived it only had 3 cushions so I emailed dfs who told me my information was incorrect it only comes with 3 and not the 4 I was told. I would advise anyone buying from a dfs store to make sure everything including how many cushions are with the sofa to have it all in writing before leaving the store, don't just take the people in store word.

Got a leather suite about 8 weeks ago it looks about 10 years old phoned the glasgow shop the lady that answered the phone I was told that all the leather suites look like that
Poor poor quality
Ordered the moorland formal back sofa,back cushions are not nice and straight like the pics on the website they have huge dips in the tops and even after being replaced they are no better and dont match the chair which has a nice plumped up straight cushion. Should know better than to think dfs actually has quality goods!!

poor quality sofas. One side of 3 seater has a big gap, whereas the other side doesnt. The 2 seater has large gap down middle an wobbles at the slightest touch. DFS couldnt care less, customer service is appalling.

Purchased the Landos power 2 seater x2…
Purchased the Landos power 2 seater x2 in full leather. Tried to change prior to delivery. The seats are not wide enough very uncomfortable cushions stretched (DFS) did come and fix. Easy gliders good when they dont fall off. Had for 6 months not yet paid for but looking for a new sofa.

10 year guarantee. Fabric protection plan and neither are worth a thing!
Even more annoyed now was told to contact customer services with a reference number by 'Lauren siviter' Head of customer services, so I did this only to be told the 10 year guarantee is as much use as a 'chocolate teapot'. Your guarantee covers frame and springs that's it, does not cover awful cushions, badly fitting corner sofa, the list of negatives goes on and on. I paid extra for the so called fabric protection plan do not take this out at any cost it cost£190 and if you read the small print they will basically avoid repairing or replacing anything. The sofa cost £679 add the £200 protection cost and the great offer you had is back up to its full price. I refuse to go in store and complain as its like you are making things up as they get defensive and make you feel stupid. I am now waiting for the head of customer services to contact me after that off to the ombudsman where I suggest you should go to avoid being fobbed off all the time.
So we bought a LEATHER pistachio…
So we bought a LEATHER pistachio coloured sofa 3 years ago which started peeling on the seat cushions within the 1st year. Called DFS who sent someone out that didn't do anything but recommend I buy some cleaner online. Anyway we've decided to get it recovered only to receive a phone call telling us this LEATHER sofa was only 20%leather 80%plastic. This is disgusting and I'd never buy from them again. Conmen that's all they are.
Really poor leather quality
We ordered a leather 3 seater sofa and leather corner sofa which arrived in December 2019.
The quality of the leather is really poor. Its catching and almost ripping in multiple places and they lose their shape really easily.
The sofas are also in a room which isn't used on a daily basis, maybe 3 times per week at most, so I'm really shocked on how bad it looks 6 months in. I don't see us getting a decent number of years out of these sofas and I'm really disappointed we wasted our money.
Elodie corner sofa 2018
We purchased Elodie corner sofa, and huggle chair in September 2018 they arrived early. Fabric wasn’t even what we saw in show room...then with 5 weeks after the fabric was pulling, feet had spilt and makes a terrible spring noise when getting off sofa.
They have been out 4 times in 20months to sort issues. They replaced the feet but made up lies about the material. Told me not to fix my sofa springs until I wanted it sold!! (Why when I want them fixed now!!!!) I’m now arguing my side as the managers have admitted it’s faulty but as the makers of the fabric won’t take liability it there is nothing they can do!!! I can’t ever sell this on I’ve lost nearly 2 grand on this sofa....I wouldn’t advice buying from them...you really get what you pay for...shocking!!!
NOT sofas for life.
After 2 months, the corner sofa began looking like it has been used for years. The large pillow on the end of the shorter side keeps sliding away from the corner which means that if anyone lays down on it, their bum falls into the large gap between the cushions and this results in back pain for everyone. A service manager came to have a look, said it's not a manufacturing issue and there is probably nothing they can do about it.
Nevertheless he took photos, said he would pass it on to his manager and they will be in touch. This was over 3 weeks ago and still no phonecall.

Ordered back in February with a 8 week delivery time and it's now approaching the end of June.
Each month the delivery date gets pushed back 4 weeks and when i call up to chase, it's a different reason.
I've been promised call backs that never happen and false promises.
I understand Covid-19 causes delays, but seriously... how can you not know where my order is up to?
I'll not be accepting the delivery or paying the final amount due. I've raised a dispute with Visa to charge back the deposit I paid using a CC.
Customer service is non-existent.

Leather corner sofa delivered March 2020. Looks like I've had it 20 years the leather has stretched so much. They came out and said it was acceptable and normal. I dont agree. Here we go, I've a fight on my hands

Continued Delays
We ordered the sofa back in April.
The salesman told us due to the covid outbreak that delivery's could take up to 4 weeks.
Now we are halfway through July and the date on the tracking app keeps moving back.
I called them and eventually got through to an advisor after 15 mins.
She stated that the the date on the tracking app is when the sofa arrives at the DFS warehouse location.
Thy are reluctant to give a confirmed delivery date.
I have asked them to cancel the order and give me a refund, however now I have to wait up to 2 days before a manager can get back to me to initiate the process.
Should have stuck with SCS.
We bought a corner settee and single…
We bought a corner settee and single chair from dfs. After a while, the cushions started to slide forward and we would often slide to the floor if we didn't stand up and adjust them several times during the evening. After a year of putting up with this, and a friend visiting and complaining about it, I realised there must be a fault with it. I emailed dfs to explain the problem and very quickly they organised for someone to come out. I was impressed with their efficiency. When the man arrived, he said it was the way that who ever sat in that chair was sitting that caused the cushion to slide. When I explained that it happened to every seat, who ever and however it was sat on, he then changed his mind and went on to say it happened to all 'loose' seating cushions. He told me it happens to his settee at home.....apparently. I explained that we have another settee in our other room with 'loose' seating cushions and it doesn't happen to that one or any of our previous settees with loose cushions. He then changed his mind again and decided it was the slippery material that we had chosen, indicating that it was our fault for the material we had chosen for our settee. I asked if we could possibly have some velcro placed on the cushions to prevent the cushions from sliding and he said no. I wasn't looking for a replacement, we just needed some help to sort the problem but apparently it was our fault for choosing a slippery material. I felt that he jumped from excuse to excuse and wasn't interested in helping us at all. No more dfs...... but you probably don't even care.
Love DFS
Love DFS, their sofa’s are good quality. I have bought 4 over the years as well as 2 chairs, only changed because we moved house or changed styles. Never had a problem. Store staff have always been helpful and delivery has always been within the stated time if not early. Their finance is through Hitachi now and very reasonable, you can’t get better than 0%. They set up the furniture and take away the rubbish. What more could you ask for.
How can this company be allowed to…
How can this company be allowed to continue trading with such bad reviews? Store manager lied and lied when he promised to come out and look at a supposed leather sofa, even saying he'd come out and couldn't find the property and left again! Twice apparently his car had broken down.I say supposed leather because it isn't.. the surface comes off because it's fake. Months and months of phone calls and flat out denials of there being a problem at all and you get nowhere.They treat you like fools.
