Missing Half of My Sofa!

Absolutely awful experience from start to finish.

My sofa was due to be delivered on Tuesday, but only half of it arrived. I'm literally missing the middle section, so I've been left with two ends of a sofa that I can't even use.

I took a day's annual leave to be at home for the delivery, only for the order to arrive incomplete.

The customer service has been just as disappointing. The delivery driver assured me he would raise the issue as urgent and that somebody would call me back. Nobody did.

Since Tuesday afternoon I've contacted DFS repeatedly and every single time I've been told exactly the same thing: "It's been raised as urgent and someone will call you back." Unsurprisingly, that call never comes.

I then tried raising a complaint through Live Chat because your website directs customers there. The advisor was unhelpful and simply passed me from one department to another. Shortly afterwards I did receive a call from a gentleman who gave me his direct number and told me to call him if I hadn't heard anything by Thursday evening.

Friday morning arrived with still no update. I called him twice and received no answer. I then contacted customer services again, only to be told that my complaint was only just being passed to the relevant department and that, apparently, the missing part of my sofa is somewhere in Farnborough.

It's unbelievable that I've had to spend so much time chasing an issue that should have been dealt with days ago. Nobody has taken ownership, nobody has kept me updated, and every conversation has resulted in another empty promise.

I've been left with no choice but to leave this review because I simply cannot get anyone to take responsibility.

I want the missing section of my sofa delivered as soon as possible, a proper update from someone who owns the issue, and compensation for the day's annual leave I had to take, along with the considerable amount of time I've wasted chasing this.

I certainly won't be using DFS again.

It seems DFS responses to reviews are rather generic, I hope they contact me directy rather than me having to call them - again...

The staff member who served me was very professional and attentive to every detail which helped choosing what I wanted stress free.

Very good experience, Daniella (hope I got your name right) was so nice and helpful, told us all we needed to know about our new sofa. Delivery time is good about 2 weeks. I got my last sofa from DFS and had that for about 12 years. So happy Days

Laura was fantastic in answering all our questions when we first came into see the sofa (that we saw advertised in The Times). And then once we’d done our measurements, Isabella was great in guiding us through the process of ordering, the 4 year payment deal and even choosing a rug to go with the sofa!

APSOLUTELY AWFUL COMPANY!! Paid balance was given a delivery date and old sofa gone .. was called to confirm delivery and i can relax but still no sofa 😡😡 i have no where to sit and not well enough to sit on a hard chair !!! I was promised the 18th ..? Soo soo upset 😢 😂😂😂😂😂

We recently visited DFS knowing which sofa we wanted but we weren’t sure about the colour. We had one in mind, which we thought would match our existing furniture, but it was only with the help of Isabella (who gave us some valuable insight concerning colour palette) that we could make our final selection.
