I’ve been a loyal customer of Dawsons Department Store for years, and they have never let me down — but my recent experience has been exceptional, thanks entirely to Lucy.

I had an issue with a KitchenAid kettle, and Lucy was absolutely magnificent from start to finish. There was no quibble, no hassle, no stress — just friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful service. She made everything as easy and convenient as possible for me, and my replacement is already on its way!

It’s rare these days to find a store that consistently delivers great products and outstanding customer care, but Dawsons does exactly that. Lucy, in particular, turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a completely positive one.

Five stars isn’t enough — thank you, Lucy, and thank you Dawsons!

Ordered some of the Lemax items this year for our Christmas village .items were dispatched very quickly and arrived next day ,very well packed.Cannot fault my experience ,competitive pricing and a Black Friday discount aswell.

After browsing their website gardenfurnitureworld.co.uk I needed some additional measurements so I called. Julie said she’d find would find out the measurements and call back. To my pleasant surprise she did so. The furniture was too large for my space but, because of this good customer service, I decided to choose something from their website rather than any other. Selected the LG Barcelona 6 seat outdoor dining set on Saturday which was delivered today (Tuesday) by The Pallet Network.
I’m very happy with my lovely new furniture set, the delivery updates and arrangements and the customer service. Having checked other suppliers I could not have got a better deal elsewhere having had 60% off the list price from buying out of season and with extra Black Friday discount. I could not be happier with this excellent shopping experience. Thank you

I've had a very good initial experience with this company. I needed to top up a specific cutlery type - and not only did they have it, it was the cheapest online. Order arrived the very next day by DPD - well packaged, items of good quality. They also gave a first time customer code which saved a little on the cost. Very happy with this experience.

I ordered a cover for garden furniture late on Thursday afternoon. I required a speedy delivery due to me going away and customer services arranged for delivery within 2 days on the Saturday. I could not have had a better service.

I ordered a garden table well in advance, with confirmed delivery dates set for the following week, ensuring everything was organised for an important family dinner. However, on the morning of the scheduled delivery, just one hour before the expected arrival, I received a text message from AIT informing me that AIT team will not be able to deliver the item because the table had not been dispatched by the Dawsons Department Store. This situation has been nothing short of frustrating. Due to the incompetence of both Dawsons and AIT, I was forced to cancel significant family arrangements. It is beyond my comprehension how a single large item ( garden table ) could get lost in the process, especially considering I placed my order well in advance. The lack of customer support and care from both companies has made this experience horrendous.

I will not be using AIT (formerly Panther) or Dawsons Department Store again in the future. The level of service has been unacceptable, and I strongly advise others to think twice before placing an order with these companies.

Really impressed today with the customer service provided by Claire. I placed an online order at the weekend and Claire was able to organise delivery for this week direct with the manufacturer, meeting the deadline we had. It was a big ask and I didn't expect her to be able to do it so thank you!

Bought a Pit Boss bbq for £1,000 and it arrived damaged. Got the replacement part over 3 months later, after multiple times chasing, and have been offered £100 for the inconvenience of having missed the whole summer. Shockingly bad company in every way. My advice would be to buy from elsewhere. I will never deal with them again.

I ordered a Jura J10 coffee machine from Dawson’s and couldn’t be happier. It arrived the very next day, perfectly packaged and exactly as described. I had a minor issue with the courier, but Dawson’s customer service was incredibly supportive — quick to respond and genuinely helpful in resolving everything. Really impressed with the overall experience. Will definitely shop with them again!

Ordered a Weber Kettle Grill due to the price being great value compared to others. Quickly despatched but the courier (DPD) decided to drop a super heavy metal product over a 6 foot gate which obviously damaged the kettle grill. Contacted Dawsons who despatched a replacement the same day so no real inconvenience caused other than sending pictures of the damage. Great communication with this company and a speedy painless resolution.

Ordered a Weber hot plate for my Genesis BBQ. Ordered, on the 02/07, it was dispatched on the 03/07, delivered on the 04/07! I don’t think there’s much to say here! Excellent service and item as expected. Thank you!

I ordered bedset and towels.
The measurements of the towels and the duvet cover are different from those advertised on their website.
The duivet cover is useless to me as it does not fit at all.
Any decent retailer would admit their mistake and make amends, but not Dawsons. Avoid, Avoid!l

Zero updates or confirmation received. I've had to email customer services multiple times for updates on my order and I'm met with abrupt replies every time. Only told today when my delivery is due because I asked. No phone contact from delivery company.

I ordered a pair of pillowcases from Dawsons and the description on the order note described them ‘Sanderson Palm House Botanical GREEN Pillowcases standard’ however, they arrived and are plain cream with and embossed edge. I contacted customer service who said they were correct, but I queried why it described them as GREEN. They agreed to a refund if I return the incorrect pillowcases, but will not pay postage. I am very disappointed as their description was WRONG and they just said “sorry love”
I did not see a picture of cream pillowcases from when I made the order on their website now. Do not use this company unless you want stress and disappointment.

Let's start with the positives. The product, a ltd edition yellow Gozney Roccbox pizza oven, is amazing, but that's nothing to do with Dawson's. When I raised my complaint Dawson's have been quick and frequent in response, but that's all the good stuff.
When I ordered the item I asked for a Friday delivery because I knew I would be in to receive it. This was ignored and it was shipped immediately. Great you would think, amazing customer service. Not so. Done purely and simply because they knew that Gozney were about to reduce the price of the Roccbox by £80. When I discovered this 48 hrs after receiving the item, I asked for the difference to be refunded. Told no. Contacted Gozney directly and they said they would either have refunded or offered store credit to the difference. Dawson's still said no. They argued that a ltd edition colour meant it retained it's value. Yet I was then able to provide evidence of other stockists reducing the exact same product in line with Gozney's actions. Strangely enough at that point Dawson's have stopped communicating with me. Don't allow yourself to be ripped off, look elsewhere.

Placed my order with Dawson's and it was dispatched within 24 hours, With A reputable courier company at a modist P&P charge.

Item arrived really quickly which was great, what was less great was when I opened it, it was broken in two, I assumed it got damaged in transit.

Now what I wasn't expecting was what followed, I sent an email to customer services on Saturday, with it being a bank holiday weekend I wasn't expecting a response till afterwards.

To my surprise I got a response within five hours apologising for the damage in transit and advising they will send a replacement product ASAP, the product was dispatched on bank holiday Monday and received on the Tuesday, it's not what happens that causes of failure it's how the company can recover from it and I have to say the service level was not expected but I received really good customer service and a prompt replacement delivery.

I could not award this company anything less than five stars because sometimes things do go wrong but clearly they're committed to providing great customer service and ensuring things are put right quickly.

Hubby and I were impressed with the unexpected free delivery within less than 24 hours, via DPD, Eric was lovely, accommodating and polite.

We were also impressed with the extremely competitive price of the products and more importantly how well we chose. We’re so happy with how the benches look and they were so easy to construct.

Have shared this company and product link with many, my parents so impressed they’re thinking of ordering too.

Cheap and shoddy garden bench, developed multiple cracks after 1 year. Company refused to honour manufacturers 3 year warranty, claiming that the bench must have been "handled roughly or dragged".

Given that I am a wheelchair user and physically incapable of handling or dragging a bench that weighs more than I do, and it has been in a sheltered private garden, this is as ridiculous as it is callous.

I have reported this to Trading Standards and would advise others against buying anything from these cowboys.

I ordered a garden bench and after being informed that it had been received by DPD for delivery. On tracking I was informed by DPD that it being returned to Dawsons as it was damaged.
Upon ringing Dawsons they told me they would check
and then told me they would send me another one on next day delivery. This duly arrived. great service.
